Hands down the best shoe I have worn. I work security and am on my feet for long hours. I have tried so many brands and styles, these take the prize. Incredibly comfortable, great quality, and design. Very impressive product, kudos to the designers and thank you for making such a high quality shoe.

I have had 3 back surgeries in 19 years of law enforcement. I researched these boots and eagerly waited for them to arrive. I put them on the next day they arrived. I ended up working 16.5 hours, 6 of which were directing traffic. I never would have made it without these boots. They are tremendously rejuvenating and allowed me to energetically make it through the long day.

I own at least eight pairs of Hoka shoes and have struggled finding the right shoe for all day construction work. TENNINE HIKE GTX was the answer. Hands down the most plush and comfortable Hoka shoe I have ever worn. Highly recommended for those experiencing foot pain but must also continue to perform at the construction site.

thank science engineering for the design of this heel and sole .. its weird looking.. but its amazing as far as its stabilization and dispersal of energy in each step on the heel .. its a true gem of modern science.. hats off to the makers.. I'm gonna buy a half dozen pair... as when there gone.. that's it..

They may look like something for a mission to Mars but there are the comfortable hiking boot I have from HOKAand I have them all. Perfect for long walks or hikes on gravel or fire roads. I may want a hiking with a thinner cushion for scrambling or bouldering. As someone who has broken their back and shattered my left leg the TenNine boots provide the comfort for an ultra smooth ride.

These are great hiking boots! The extended heel is great for keeping you off your forefoot if you struggle with injuries that that area of your foot. Even if not, these boots are extremely comfortable. They fit true to size. The laces tie down well but not too tight, and I've found the Goretex to be waterproof. I've walked through snow, slush, mud, and standing water with these without getting wet. They're also warm enough to go for hikes in the winter. I got the green pair, I love the woodsy vibe! I highly recommend these boots!

Great support for trail and uneven terrain hiking/walking. Light weight, feels smaller than they are.

I was a month away from hiking the Camino Santiago, in Spain, and I developed severe plantar fasciitis. These babies were my only hope. I started walking in the States and got them broken in prior to leaving. I was able to walk the whole route and enjoy it!! Thank you Hoka Development Team these boots are genius!!

I have worn Hoka's for many, many years, so I am quite familiar with the brand and wear. This model is by Far the most comfortable of any Hoka I have worn. I am about one month in wearing them and my wife also purchased the girl version of this same model and she feels the same way. We are senior in age and hike miles per week over diverse terrain. It is my opinion that one of the reasons for the 'walking on cloud' feel is due to the wider & long heel, which is the first place your hoof touches down when you're walking. With this enhanced platform, it helps cushion the weight of the step as well as enables you to make the most stable, sure footed step. The added heel size in no way limits any activity you will do.
I would recommend, trying on a pair at a local store to ensure you are ordering the correct size. Example: I wear one (1) full size larger in the Hoka, then my "normal" shoes/boots.
Negatives: Ha, "NONE"! I tell people there are two areas you never want to financially scrimp in and that is your shoes and mattress. After all, you spend most of your life in one of these two areas... Respect your feet, go get a pair...! :)

1) I have to say HOKA amazed me with my purchase, I ordered on Friday May 5th and they are on my feet as we speak Monday May 8th. Originally it said 10 days but they are here in 3 with no shipping costs. That rocks. 2) About me, I am 61 years young, I have been in construction my whole life and I have always worn Redwing boots. Anyone in construction knows why you wear leather boots. Unfortunately I developed a case of Plantar fasciitis 3 years ago and boy it is painful. So after 3 years trying any shoe that i could to give me releif I am now on to this one. The HOKA Tennine GTX. 3) As I said before, they just arrived and i have only waked 50 steps maybe and they feel great so far. My problem is that i just walked 8000 steps in a pair of Adidas and my foot is killing me right now so my 2nd review starts tomorrow morning after my foot gets better. I was lucky enough to get these in solid black and gray so i don't stick out to much on the jobsite, i know i am already going to catch flack just from appearance but i don't care, I am 61 and i am also the boss. Anyway, KUDOS to HOKA, you have impressed me to say the least.

76 year old gentleman can now go with me through the woods on forested trails with these shoes. It has been two years. They keep his ankles from rolling. Outstanding!

The shoe is like walking on air. I have a bone that has broken off in my right heel. With these shoes I can not even tell it. I have recommended them to everyone that I come in to contact with on the jobs we work on. I am an electrical contractor, so the work is very demanding on your feet, like climbing ladders, in attics, and on hillsides. They have great flexibility and traction.

I am a person with one leg these shoes get great stability for prosthetics. Too expensive for someone who is on social security. I have to choose between walking stable and taking my meds.

Shoe is next level cushioning. The wide base adds stability and cushioning on level ground. Had some difficulty rock scrambling due to foot placement issues. A few hard hikes and legs and feet were less fatigued. I immediately got used to the oversized heel. Would recommend if you're a serious hiker. Width and toe box were perfect fit, and I tend to wear wide shoes.
