I really loved the shoe at first, but after only 3 weeks of wearing them the bottom of the shoe is ruined. I’m pretty sure a shoe should last more than 3 weeks without losing the outsole. It’s unfortunate too because these shoes are so expensive so they should last longer than 3 weeks.

I really loved my Arahi 3 & 4! Even though they appeared a bit "clunky", they were great shoes for me & eliminated any knee pain I'd had from running in other shoes. I'm a fairly lightweight runner, and wore the 4's when training for a 15K & Half marathon- I had no issues at all. When it came time to get a new pair, I of course went for the Arahi 5. They did seem a bit narrow when I was trying them on in the store, but I thought that was just the "new shoe" feel. Now I wish I had spent more time trying other styles. These are definitely not as comfortable as the previous models- they feel too narrow/tight. I've started having some knee discomfort & feel like my stride is not what it used to be. I thought I might need some time to break these in, but I guess I'll have to invest in a different new pair of shoes so things don't get worse. Whatever overhauls they did on the 5 just aren't working for me. Really bummed, as I loved my 3s & 4s!

I bought these just for wearing casually. I wear to work (in an office), light shopping, etc. I don't use this pair for strenuous exercise. They look great and are super comfortable. However, I have one spot of the sole on the bottom of both of my shoes that was poorly glued down and this part of the sole has broken off completely on one shoe and slightly on the other. I've only owned the shoes for about 3 months. I wonder if anyone else has this problem.

This is my third pair of Arahi 5's and for whatever reason these fit smaller than my others even though they're all the same size. Ordered 2 pairs to be sure it wasn't just an anomaly -- same fit both times. Odd.

I am a huge Hoka fan and wear them exclusively down to the Recovery slide and Recovery shoe. This is definitely not my first Arahi either and this one just didn't feel the same. It is a bit puckered around the shoelace area and doesn't resolve with readjustment of the laces. I will still try another pair and assume this is an oddity for this particular shoe. However I am a bit worried about a tend in workmanship.

This model does not provide the same amount of support and comfort as the Arahi 4. I wish I had understood that they are very different shoes. My mistake.

The Arahi 5 lacing style has changed from the 3 and 4. Instead of lacing holes as previous models, the 5 has a fold over "pocket". One of the pockets did not catch the stitching on the underside. When I contacted customer care, they were less than helpful in helping me secure a replacement. Was able to source them myself through a non Hoka vendor. It's a shame since these are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever owned.

Fit and size was OK but it was just an uncomfortable shoe. Not enough padding for support. I pulled out the insole and inserted my own custom orthotics . But it did not improve. So returning.

I found that these shoes didn’t support me enough in the heel as I tend to walk and run with a hard heel strike. If you are looking for midfoot support then these shoes definitely have it. Also I have never needed a wide shoe but I did with this one.

This is a great show, but it runs narrow. I had the arahi 4 and they were perfect. This shoe is too narrow for me, while jugging my toes get numb and my feet hurts. I would hope Hoka go back to their regular sizing/narrowness like the arahi 4. I'm unable to exchange, because I got rid of the box thinking these would work like the 4, but I was so so wrong. I guess I'll have to see if I can find the arahi 4 so I can finish my runs. I would recommend these to a friend only if they don't need a wider shoe. I'm disappointed with these arahi 5.

These shoes fit a half size to large and wide in the heel. Not enough stability support or padding in the ball area of foot. No matter how I tried them, still slipped up and down on my heel. I will stay with the gravatis hoka, gave these to a friend

I work in a warehouse on my feet for 10+ hours a day. Searched for a shoe that was comfortable and could holdup standing/walking on concrete floors. These were recommended by a trusted friend. They were comfortable but not as cushiony as expected. Within 2-3 wks of wear, a rubber piece of the sole lifted and now catches on the floor often when I'm walking. Very disappointed given the price. They look as if I've had them longer than I have. I continue to wear them because they're still fairly new and I bought 2 pairs...that $300! So yeah, don't think I'll buy Hoka again.

The shoe feels very stable and has good cushion. I ordered this shoe because I have wide and flat feet, and the website states that this is good for overpronation. I wear a 6 wide and I tried on a 6D and a 6.5D. The width of both shoes were basically the same. The toebox is roomy but this shoe is not wide enough at the midfoot, which is where I need the extra width. This may not be the best style if you have wide and flat feet.

Walking and exercise. The size in the store fit beautifully, however when ordered the size was a little smaller...tight fitting...

I love the light weight shoe, but the wide width caused sore toes and blisters!

This shoe has been redesigned and is not like its predecessor the arahi 4; the toe box is narrower and the cushioning is less, a stiffer shoe overall; you would need to go up a half size compared to the 4's; sadly had to return them - hate when shoe companies change their shoes!!

I have had the arahi 4 before but these are not only smaller but narrower - I had to go up a full size and still my toes felt scrounged - sadly had to send these back - thank goodness for zappos - the search continues...

The designs on the outside of the shoe are pealing off and I've only
Worn them inside like 4 times. Disappointing for the price.

These specific shoes were recommended by a doctor I saw for plantar fascitis and I frankly find them lacking in arch support and heel padding.

The shoe seems to run small. The comfort was not what I expected either. But it is a really nice looking sneaker.
