Podiatrist recommended- only sport shoe I can tolerate for a good part of the day. Love my Arahi 5's and 6's.

These shoes are fantastic for protecting toes sensitive to arthritis. They help prevent over bending. I wore them for three days at Disneyland and I had no toe pain. They are the only sneakers I have ever worn that I felt were kind of narrow, though. I will keep using them but would investigate a wide size for my next pair of Hokas.

The last star was held back because the interior lining (removable) at the heel pushes into my foot.

These get five stars for comfort; however, for as expensive they are, the rubber on the heel of the shoe is starting to crack. Hopefully it doesn't worsen because they are so comfy.

I am a Massage Therapist, and am on my feet for 8 to 9 hours straight, so stability, comfort, and avoiding foot pain are what I look for in my work shoes. These tick off most of my boxes, except they could use more cushioning inside. They are great for a few hours work, but after my long days, the comfort level drops, and my feet ache. Add more padding to the insoles please!

I usually wear a wide, ordered that, found it too wide and exchanged for 8 regular, which fit well. I have long second toes and would order 8.5 next time. Very comfortable, nice cushioning. Customer service helpful and easy to make the exchange in a timely manner.

Sneakers are quite comfortable but have one section that rubbed enough that I think gave me plantar wart very sore area on bottom of my foot.

I really like this. I still have issues with heel slippage, even though I tie them correctly, so that is my only complaint. I wish there was a say to stop that. The laces are really short and sometimes that is a problem but they always stay tied. They are really easy to run in and never hurt my feet. I have inserts but when I used them, I got blisters, so I am also not sure how to remedy that. For now, I am sticking with the shoe the way it came, and I am satisfied with my purchase.

These are comfortable but for some strange reason, I'm in between sizes, and they just won't work with my (narrow) feet. In some places they are wide, and in others tight and narrow – not to mention which pair of socks you're wearing.

The sneaker is awesome. being a first time HOKA person, I went with a size 10. Turns out I am a 9.5 in HOKA. Not the sneakers fault they didn't fit properly.

I’ve purchased two of the the Hoka One One Arahi 5 previously. Both feel great, sized correct. These looked great too but when I looked at them out of the box I immediately knew they were too small. Marked as the size I’d ordered but full size smaller.

These shoes are so narrow. I could not get my foot in the shoes with the support inserts in them. Even after taking those out I had to wear the thinnest socks I could find to get my foot in. They felt SOOOOO wonderful after I got them on. Sadly after walking around in them a few hours they rubbed a sore on my bunion. :(

I have been wearing Hoka Gaviota 3's for over a year, but they only come in three colors and I have the two I like. I thought the Arahi 5 sounded like a similar shoe, based on Hoka's stability rating. Not so much, as it turns out. The Arahi 5 has much less sole (soul??) and feels les padded and springy. Guess I'll have to order the remaining Gaviota 3 color.

I love the shoe in general. Normally wear a womens 8.5 B in this shoe but the toe box was smaller and it felt uncomfortable. I ordered a womens 9 B and it is perfect. The new Arahi 5 is more padded then the Arahi 4 and 3. Almost excited to go to work tomorrow.? I am a nurse.

I have pronounced overpronation to both feet, these shoes feel great. I love the various colors but have only been able to buy them in black. I bought a couple extra pair to change up and not wear out quickly. This is an answer to my prayer.

Wanted to love as friends have recommended, but the Hoka's add a lot of support, but it adds to the look of the sneaker, so with a size 11 foot, It looked like boats on my feet. You can't hide size 11 feet, but some sneaks look trimmer than others. These Hokas did not. Had to return.

The Arahi felt more cushioned and stable than the One One. This was a good choice for my post ankle fracture recovery.

I've bought each model of Arahis starting with #2 and did not mind the redesigns until now. The toe box is much more narrow than previous versions (which is quite unhealthy for the foot) and the heel cup is cut much lower on the sides than previous models which does not work with heel lifts (if you use them). Yes they look more slender with the new design but that is not what makes Hokas great! Overall this is the best stability shoe on the market but I'm really disappointed with the redesign and hope that they change back to the original look.

I like the color and toe width in the shoe. I also like the fact that I can lace and tie it. Too many shoes now don't give you that option. The only reason for the rating of 4 is that it seems to be cut too high at my ankle and that is uncomfortable when I walk.

I'm happy with these shoes. Based on all the research I did prior to buying them, I had it set in my brain that these are the right shoes for me. I am tired of researching and shopping so I'm keeping them. With dropped arches and aging skin, I don't think there is a "Perfect" shoe for me. In fairness to the shoe, I'm now awaiting arrival of my quality socks because I believe good socks will be the finishing touch to make them exactly what I hope for. I would recommend these Hoka Arahi 5 to anyone looking for a good sturdy walking shoe.

I've been an avid Hoka fan for a couple of years but with each new design and style my favorites change. I've been wearing Clifton 6 for a year and loved them but the new design was enough different that it didn't feel like comfortable pair of slippers. I tried the Arahi 5, loved the cushioned foot but it was a wee too tight in the toe box. The Bondi 7 have a slight wider toe box that felt great but not as cushioned. I wear a padded orthodontic so that minor detail of less cushioned foot is almost a moot point. My first two pairs of Hokas were Mach 2 and 3. The Mach 2s had a horrible rubber tongue that cut into the top of my foot; cutting it back solved the problem. Mach 3 had a regular padded tongue -- hooray! I think the Bondi 7s will be my new favorite --- until everything changes again and I'll be trying on 5 or 6 pair to find which works the best. I'm almost 70 with "old lady" foot problems so finding a pair of shoes that keeps me walking is of utmost importance. Thank you Zappos for your fine service.
