Stylish & comfortable rain boot.

the best rain-boot ever. down side the boots will turn white.

I really wanted to love these boots, but unfortunately this size was a bit large on me. I'll try one size down and see if that works!! As always, Zappos is great!

They arrived not glossy nor black. They are actually gray with white scuffs. I went to the Hunter website and it said the whitening happens naturally because of the rubber and you have to use Hunter boot polish to keep up the shine. I have not tried it yet, but I am optimistic that it will work out. I am just a bit disappointed that they did not arrive as pictured (maybe Hunter should include the boot polish with the high gloss boot.)

I normally wear an 8W or 8 1/2. The size 8 fit good but I have larger calves and not too much room there. I'm not sure heavy socks would work but I am satisfied with the purchase.

Boots run big so I suggest to go a size smaller if you like the fitted fit. I originally bought a size 6 since I'm a 6/6 1/2 but they felt too big so I exchanged them for a size 5. The size fit perfect even with socks. They are bit hard to put on but I think that will eventually go away once they are broken in. Overall the boots are perfect for raining weather. I just wish it rained more in California so that I can wear them.

I should play the lottery based on my fortunate purchase timing. We had nearly 10 days straight rain in Atlanta right after they arrived. They were perfect. I did debate for a day about whether I should return them because they run SO large. I wear an 8 typically, but still ordered an 8, thinking that I would wear extra-thick socks with them. Even with thick socks, my feet knocked around in them a bit. I wore them nonetheless, and they kept my feet nice and dry. After purchasing the shearling insoles, they were a perfect fit.

Little more snug around my calf than I would have liked, but I have larger calves so I was expecting them to possibly be. Overall pleased with these boots.

They are beautiful and they fit. Glossy and sturdy. However removing them is so difficult it induces stress and anxiety. They are not for me.

Just what I needed, after my old Sperry ones split. I use these for dog-walking in the early morning as well as for wet weather. They are extremely comfortable with a sport sock, I see no need to buy the Hunter socks. I wear a 9.5 in US brands and a 40.5 in European brands, the size 9 was fine. My only concern is that the shaft is fairly wide, and may let in rain from the top during a shower, but that has still to be tested.

Love the Hunters! Had ordered the higher Huntress first but I have very muscular calves and they were too tight. Went with the short version and although they meet at the calf they are a little snug but tolerable.

I really l like the way these look, but they could be more comfortable. They are straight up rubber boots without much cushioning! Also, if you wear them with bare calves the rubber will dig into your calves. Sacrifices for style!

I ordered these over the regular ones because I am 4'11". These stop at about mid-calf on me. I wear a 6.5 in most shoes. I ordered a 5 in these, and they were a little too snug for my liking, so I exchanged them for a 6. There is a little bit of wiggle room now. I have not worn them out yet, but I love them already!

So these boots work exactly as indicated. They keep the rain out and keep my feet warm. They're comfortable and stylish. However, I was a bit disappointed that the shiny finish doesn't last through one wear or out of the box even. The first pair I purchased came all scuffed up and discolored so I exchanged them for a second pair, which Zappos did with no issues. The second pair came and they looked beautiful. I wore them once in the rain and the shiny finish disappeared and looked like the first pair I received. In the future, if I purchase another pair of Hunters I'll be getting the matte version. I'm going to invest in the shine restorer to see if that makes them look like new. Overall, these boots are great. I know they're rain boots and meant to take a beating and the manufacturing quality ensures they'll be able to. However, buy them for the utility and not their beautiful appearance if you intend on using them when it rains.

After trying the Original Tall I ended up with the Short mainly because they were easier to get off! Everything about the boot fits great...plenty of room in the calf. They look nice and will be put to good use in the yard and occasional trip to the store. I'm an 8 1/2 and I got the 8 which are just right. I tried the 9 but they were way too big and still difficult to get off! I am able to wear the fleece sock insert too as well as having room for pants legs. (A little harder to take off but still okay.) Overall the short Hunter in gloss is useful, stylish and comfortable.

Such a cute boot! I was so excited to order short Hunters. Unfortunately, they were too narrow for my athletic calf. I was really crossing my fingers that top of the boot would be too high up my leg, but sadly, they were. If they were high ankle boots, I think they'd be perfect. I'll keep trying to find a pair of cute rain boots.

I have always been a size 6-1/2 US, but with bunions, I now wear size 7. I ordered 7, but it was a bit loose; still, I could fix that with heavier socks. However, the boots are heavier than I expected (1-1/2 to 2 pounds each?); not sure if weight was indicated in the description and I should have checked first. Loved the styling and the quality (very well made), but the fit together with the heaviness is not for me. It does not rain very much here in Southern California, and I ordered to use and pack for overseas travel. The weight was a bit problematic for me in terms of baggage weight restrictions these days. I'm sure people living where it rains and snows love these boots.

After years of wanting Hunter rain boots, I finally bought them! I love the color. Not the most comfortable, but they're not really supposed to be I don't think.

These were very large and loose on my feet. I normally wear 7.5-8 but ordered the 8 as I figured I'd be wearing thicker socks. Still way too large. Too bad, they are gorgeous!

Great boot for wide calves. However, it rubs against your leg so you'll need a sock. I also found that the label info on the inside of the boot rubbed off on my leg.

I have wanted Hunter boots forever but am cursed with wider than average calves. I'm short (approx. 5'3") and my calves measure about 17.25", I guess the widest part of my calf starts earlier than most people's. I tried the Huntress - sadly, they didn't work for me and I didn't fit. When I saw the shorts, I figured it was worth it to give them a try. I also have a high instep (I sound like a mutant now lol) and actually got stuck in the boot! They're made of great material and somehow it created a suction that made it nearly impossible to pry the boot off without help. It was a bad scene. They are so cute but just not quite right for my legs. I have tried nearly every Hunter style and I think it's just time for me to move on. Excellent quality and the lipstick pink color is vibrant and fun without being too neon or obnoxious.

7.5 normally so I got an 8. Will be ok with thick socks but too big. If I knew they ran lg I would have gotten a 7!

Good, but a bit pricey considering I had to add an insert for foot bed comfort. You do need to wipe them after each use to prevent salt build-up.
