The color on the red boots is exactly as shown. I haven't had a chance to wear these yet but, they fit true to size and are very comfortable. If you have larger calves, beware. They do fit snuggly around the calf area.. Fitted. Nice, sturdy fashionable rain boot. Not much arch support. It's a boot!

I was a bit afraid to get these bc I have wide calves but they fit great and o still have a bit of room. I was also kind of hesitant about the size, but they run sort or large. I usually wear an 8 1/2 and I got an 8. They fit great and not tight at all and I have wide feet.

I originally purchased these boots in the knee high style which proved to be uncomfortable because they were higher than my knee which caused discomfort when sitting. This style is perfect for me. The gloss style really looks cute with jeans and the heel gives me that little extra bit of hight that I need. I highly recommend. It's great to have a go to boot that stands up to nasty weather.

I love these boots. I was looking for a short rain boot to wear for running errands. I wanted a boot that was practical but fashionable. These are great. They are good looking, comfortable, and keep my feet dry!

These were my first pair of Hunter boots and they are fabulous. They keep my feet warm, dry on slip on and off with ease. Extremely well made and comfortable. Highly recommend them.

I love my short Hunter Wellys. They are perfect for the shorter leg. The graphite is a great go-with-everything color for me. I wear a sz8 shoe normally but found the sz7 Hunter boot fit much better than the 8. I wish they made the boot liners in the cable cuff for the short boots but I did get a pair of the microfiber and like them well enough.

Very comfortable, stylish and lightweight. The black glossy finish looks very smart and sexy for a rain boot! Easy to get on and off, but will need thick socks so my feet aren't sliding around a bit inside. I like how there are no gaps anywhere for water to seep into (like some rain boots that tie up).

I bought these to walk around my rainy college campus and I absolutely love them! A comfortable fit, and I've gotten many compliments as well!

These are fabulous boots! Comfortable with enough arch support and wear a 7.5 and purchased a 7 and fits great and no leaks!

Bought these for my daughter who attends college and needed to keep her feet dry and warm walking around campus. They were a Christmas Gift and arrived in plenty of time. She loves them and the fit was right on. 7.5 Black shiney.

I am more than pleased with these boots! I am smaller with a petite frame, so this shorter boot was perfect! I added a thick sock on cold days, and it has been perfect! (They run an entire size larger, so order down one size.)

I don't usually write these, but I just had too in this case. First, Laura (customer service) was outstanding in her help with the ordering. Second, these were a gift for my wife and I was nervous that I wouldn't get her something she'd like (or it wouldn't fit). Well, they arrived today (December 23rd) and right away my wife wanted to know what was in the box. Since we usually give each our gifts, I figured it would be okay. The surprised look on her face told me everything I needed to know. She's already tried them on (she likes the fit and feel) and made comment that there's enough room for a couple of pairs of socks (for winter wearing). She wears a size 6 shoe and I got her size 6 Graphite Short Gloss Hunter's.

I love these boots! I usually wear a size 8, 8 1/2, but these fit like a glove. I tend to wear wear thinner vs. thicker socks (my feet hate being confined to socks!) so consider that when buying. You should definitely wear socks with them or you will get little blisters on the backs of your legs as the edges rub up against your legs (makes sense). They keep my feet warm and completely dry in the water-winter wasteland that is Seattle, WA, which is exactly what I was looking for, and looks great with skirts. I have big calves, but have no problems whatsoever with these boots. We're talking a circumference of almost 16" here. I have soccer-player legs. Yup. And I love these cute little boots. They make me feel girly. If I wore skinny jeans, I could probably tuck my jeans in them, though it'd be a tight fit. But I wear boot-cut jeans, so that just looks ridiculous. I also have wider feet, and have no problems wearing these all day comfortably. It's just a matter of finding socks of the right thickness, which you can do at any REI-type store.

Love these boots. Super cute on, very comfortable. Warm and totally waterproof. Received a compliment within 1 hour of wearing them.

I just received my Hunter Short Gloss boots in Graphite, and I am in love. Comfortable, Chic and practical... an unbeatable combination and well worth my money. The only thing I am more impressed with is Zappos and their consistently excellent customer service.

LOVE this rain boot! Originally ordered the Bogs and sent them back (WAY to big and clunky). Exchanged them for these and so glad I did! They're super comfy, and I love the red, so fun! I am typically a size 10-11 in boots, and the 10 fit perfectly. I have a large calf, so the Short was perfect. Love you Zappos, you are SO easy to deal with!!!

Best boots ever. These will keep your feet dry and they're extremely durable. Made with care and the finest rubber. In my opinion, Hunters, for the win!

I was so excited to get these boots! They are such a fun color and spice up any wardrobe, especially those from a rainy state! I wear them everywhere. I will wear them with leggings or even a skirt! I did find them snug in the shaft,I wish that they were available in half sizes as they do run large and a whole size up or down is too much difference. Mine have more than enough wiggle room but are a bit more on the large side. They are also not a smooth flat boot feel, there is a small heel and you can feel it in every movement, for those of you who may be use to a flat boot as I was. I do Love my boots and can't wait to order the tall black Hunter!

Love this boot! It's perfect to wear with short when it's warm and rainy or for working in the garden. You will want to order a size down for proper fit.

I am usually a size 8 and the 8 in the short Hunters fit great! I'm only 5'2 so the short boots looked much better on me than the tall ones. I liked the gloss finish better as my friend has the matte and experienced the "blooming effect". She couldn't get it off.

So deeply bummed out - these adorable boots just arrived. They are a great, bright red color and are lovely and glossy, but I'm only 5'3" and they cut me mid-calf and are just a hair too tight. I have athletic calves, it's true. If these were just a little shorter or taller, they'd fit. Unfortunately, these need to go back. As an aside, I should add that these feel like they're a half-size bigger - thick socks would probably be a good idea, or order 1/2 size down.

This was my first Hunter order. I loved them but exchanged the short for the taller version. I typically wear a 9.5, ordered the 9 based on reviews and the fit was perfect. I love the gloss black. It's a little more special than the matte finish. I didn't like the way the shorter ones flared at the top on me. I couldn't have worn jeans over them so I ordered the taller version instead. I like them so much I want to be able to wear them with dresses, tights and shorts, and with jeans over or tucked in. The taller ones will fit my needs perfectly.

Perfect rain and mucky yard boot. This boot hits mid-calf and has a much more fitted foot area than most wellie-type boots. I wear a 7 and ordered a 7. I wore without socks the first day and the top edge rubbed against my shin. The next time I wore socks and it was perfect. The shine actually stays! I thought it was more of a gimmick, but it really does stay! You can adjust the buckle on the side, but I think it is truly just for aesthetic purposes. These were indeed a great buy. Comfortable and stylish, all in one!

If you're looking for a rain boot that will fit over your jeans, this is the one. I originally bought the tall version, but had to return it because I couldn't shove my jeans inside the boot. This one is perfect!
