When I first got these shoes last August, I loved them! They fit my feet perfectly and were very comfortable (and still are). However, my complaint is that only after wearing them a couple of months, the mesh fabric on the top and sides (particularly on the left shoe) has started ripping in multiple locations and now is so bad I am embarrassed to wear them anywhere else besides going outside walking. I have no idea why this is happening, I primarily only wear the shoes for a couple hours a day to take my dog on walks and occasionally run some errands. This has never happened to me with any other pair of sneakers that I have bought so unfortunately I will not purchase another pair of ASICS for this reason as the quality of the shoe is not good to withstand over time, especially for the price point.

I was hoping this style would fit the same as my ASICS gel-cumulus. They do not. The bottom of my heel (due to plantar fasciitis) hurts in these shoes and the soles make weird scrunching sounds when I walk.

Not one of your best, Asics, sorry. Nimbus 20 for my feet were great. The material is more flexible in the 23, so I feel less stability. I am still wearing a 20 for walking, I can wear the 23 at work. I wish you would return to a more stable sneaker that offers good arch support.

Have always loved the Asics Gel nimbus 23 fits great and very comfortable however they have developed a click in the sole of one sneaker. This is the second pair I've had the same thing happen with; wishing for a little quality control. They feel so go might just wear them instead of trying to get a replacement. Hoping for the best!

ASICS's lately design has less arch support, They do look sleeker but less room makes super hard to put the feet in. However, I still kept the old model coz it seems ASICS goes for style and cost saving more than the comfort of shoes now.

I’m not a fan of the new material at all. It seems to squeeze around the top of my foot where it laces up. The cushion is awesome! So I’ll see how they fair when I have to sit for a long time? Walking is okay, the sitting I’m concerned about?

I used to wear the lemon drop asics and loved them so much I was sad they were discontinued but decided to try another pair. I was a little disappointed with the nimbus, I've noticed that running outside or on the treadmill is hurting my knees which is odd because I've never had knee issues before. I'm a little upset because I thought these shoes would give me the extra cushion I need and did my research thoroughly :(

Heel cushion seemed very good but the level of cushioning felt less as it went towards the toes. I did not feel it was sufficient at arch & ball of foot.

I loved the Gel Nimbus 17. This style would have worked perfectly except that the heel rocked back and forth. I took off the shoe to apply pressure to see if it did indeed rock (I wanted to make sure it wasn't the way I was standing when it was on my foot). I cannot figure out why the style seemed to have a defect.
I'd also recommend:
Love Asics and am determined to find a new pair that works. I have a closet full.

Around the collar of the shoe was a rim of thick padding. The tongue was also heavily padded. Both made the shoes look and feel large and "clunky." I'm returning them.

I generally supinate and when I walked/ran in these shoes in the house I felt like the shape of the shoe was causing my foot to move sideways towards the outside in a way that didn't feel natural to my gait. I have high arches and have had plantar fasciitis. This was one of the shoes recommended for those conditions. Shoe felt wonderfully padded and I would have gone with it otherwise. I went with the Brooks Ghost 14 (also recommended for my conditions) instead even though it didn't feel as cushy as this one. It's all a very personal choice.

Felt tighter than any size 10 I've ever bought. The eyelets on the right shoe were defective. Missing some leather or cut wrong.

Too roomy for me, which has never been a problem. So roomy that my socks don't up. I've purchased several pairs of Asics, one of which is the same shoe in a different color.

I have worn Asics Gel Nimbus for many years as my go to walking/athletic shoe. It was a lifesaver for me when I had plantar fasciitis in 2012. I have tried to get a new pair the last few years and the last few iterations just did not work for me. The cushion had changed and toe box seemed shorter and overall the shoe more narrow. One of my feet measures as a B width and the other a C width so I have been looking at a women's D shoe. I have had to go up another 1/2 size as the shoes seems to be cut shorter than the older styles. I bought this pair of Nimbus and chose the mens shoe regular width as it just felt a little better than the women's D width. What I like: The cushion and arch support even though I think the gel feel is far less than say 3 versions ago. What I don't like: The way the tongue is sewn in. Not nearly as soft and comfortable as the loose tongue. I preferred the split cushion where the achilles tendon comes down to the heal. Much more comfortable. The shoe still feels a bit snug and considering trying the men's wide to see if the toe box is more comfortable and wish the toe box was a bit taller. I spent a long time at the shoe store trying different brands. I still think my nimbus gel 18 had the best all round shoe cushion for comfort on the upper as well as the sole. I just get the feeling the shoe has been scaled back or cheapened compared to former versions. Looking at several other brands but in the end the arch support in this shoe really fits mine the best. Sad to pay 150 + for a shoe and feel like I am making do.

a bit clunky and heavy, they are bigger than my saucony perigrine 3,which are my most perfect fitting running shoes of all time.

I love Gel Nimbus, but the 23 is rubbing and leaving blisters on both heels. I've never had this problem before. The shoe doesn't seem to be a "wide" even though they are marked as such.

Bought these in August for work and exercise, so with plans to wear them at least 5 days a week. The sole is incredibly comfortable. I feel my feet are pretty average, but these have felt so tight, regardless of how loose I try to keep the laces. As another reviewer posted, the laces are terrible about staying tied, which is inconvenient when exercising. I would much prefer the laces of Nimbus models past! If you are looking for a super cushion-y shoe - this is a great option. Maybe just get different laces and really stretch out the toe box as best you can.

I bought these sneakers to teach my fitness classes I know they are running shoes but really there is not a variety of sneakers out there to pick from for fitness most are for running . With that being said they are very comfortable but def not enough support for lateral movement not enough support in the forefoot area . Which sadly is the case with most sneakers these days

I'm always VERY happy with my Zappos orders but these shoes seemed like they had been worn before. The soles were clean, but if I had to guess I'd say someone wore them around their house for a few days before sending them back and I got them next. Could I exchange for a new pair?

Unfortunately, the 8.5s are a bit small for me while the 9.0s are too big. For years the ASICS Gel Nimbus 9s have been just right for me (my usual dress shoe size is an 8 or 8.5 and moderately narrow foot) - but the 23s seem to be running large - so had hoped the 8.5s would work but they are just a bit too short. Do wish ASICS would keep the same template!!!
