I ordered these in exchange for a pair of medium width of the same style which were too narrow. My feet have changed over the years, but I still don't wear a wide in any shoe, but wide is the only thing that worked in these Glycerin's. They are comfortable and fit well overall. Brooks has definitely changed. For years I could just buy the next version and they would fit with no issue. Today there is no longer consistency in fit in any style they offer unfortunately.

I’m a big fan of the Glycerin shoes and have been wearing the 18’s for awhile. They fit like a glove, but I had to add some insoles for additional cushioning. Which was no big deal because the original insole can be removed and replaced. Alas, the 19’s have arrived! I read good reviews about how they are much more cushioned as compared with the previous version, and I was excited to try them. I also read some reviews that the black color in the Glycerin 19 fit more tightly than other colors. They were right! I bought the black and the blue. The black was too narrow in the overall for and width around the toe box. The navy color fit much better, like the 18’s, but with more cushion. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase. My only recommendation is that if you aren’t completely satisfied with the fit, try a different color. For some reason there are slight variances that might make them work for you. Zappos has such good return policy that it’s no risk to order multiple shoes to test out and return the ones you don’t want.

Be specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?

The size was fine, but not enough arch support. Next time I will be sure to request better arch support.

The bottom of this shoe was very plush, felt great. The top of this shoe was the biggest issue; if you have a high instep, it may not be comfortable. No matter how much adjustment to the laces, it felt as if the top of my foot was being crushed. Really well made shoe, just not the right one for me.
