I have been running in the Glycerins since the 11's. The only model I didn't care for was the 14's, when I had to briefly switch to a different sneaker make.... Until now. The 18's were my absolute favorite Gycerins yet, and when the 19's hit the stores, I decided I would try them early. Good thing I did, because I realized I better buy a bunch of the 18's to get me through the year, until the Gycerin 20's come out and hopefully get back to what I like in my running shoe. The new 19's feel more rigid than the 18's. The heel feels like a block of would, no longer giving me the energy return I expected from the Glycerin. And the added padding to the tongue of the shoe was not necessary as the shoe tends to run a bit warm in the summer months to begin with. I gave it two stars because the toe box width stayed the same and the colors were attractive (including the wide options- which I order). I run ~45-55 miles a week, complete 2-3 marathons a year, and about 20 half marathons a year, so I am so upset about this change in my favorite shoe. And their "softest shoe yet" is not this one, It was the 18's.

These fit so much better than last years model. No heel slippage, great support and cushioning. Looks great. Got the grey with pink/navy laces. Love them.

These are exactly as billed - think of them as a cushier version of the Ghost 13. They definitely run short - My Ghosts are 7 1/2; I had to exchange the first pair of Glycerins I ordered for a size 8.

I have developed Peripheral Neuropathy. Yes. Nerve damage on my feet, so I am not running. I am a high school Spanish teacher, so I am on my feet all day long. (I hope I can get back to the classroom soon. I miss the students) Today, I walked two miles and I felt like walking on the clouds. I tried Glycerin 18 and they felt too roomy. These ones are perfect. I ordered the Ice Flow/Navy/Pink in size 7 and I love them. Brooks Ghost and Glycerin for my feet. Thank you Zappos for putting up with me: so many returns and exchanges, but finally I found the shoes for my problematic feet! I am looking forward to seeing more colors.

I have been looking for a a wide running shoe that had a little bit of fun style to it and was so happy to come across these. I haven’t worn Brooks in about 2 years after falling in love with Saucony. I am so happy with this purchase. They definitely have a little more structure than what I’ve been wearing but the support is great. Cushy on the sole and solid. Love these.

very happy with this year's Glycerin. I've developed arthritis so I need more cushion and the Glycerin offers that without feeling like a heavy shoe. Runs small so I ordered 1/2 size larger which worked great for me. Cute blue color too.

They are very comfortable and give great support. I work in a hospital and spend long hours on my feet moving from department to department. My feet are not sore or tired and my back and hips don?t hurt when I wear these shoes even after working 16 hour days. I am not a runner but I put a lot of miles on shoes walking around the hospital and these are one of the best pairs of Brooks shoes that I have worn.

I have worn Glycerins for years and these are nothing like what I am used to. They have totally changed this product line and not for the better. The sole is the biggest issue. It is very high in the back and wide in the front. It feels so bulky and awkward. the only positive is the cushion but I'll be returning these.

I am impressed. As an avid runner and a RN who?s on my feet all day I?ve relied on my Glycerins since the 15?s. I require a wide width shoe. The 15?s were awesome in design and coloring but I?ve been let down every launch since with poor color ways available in the wide width....until NOW! I was so excited at the color options this launch I purchased two!!! Thank you Brooks for finally listening to your customers and giving those of us who require a wide width some style. I feel as though some of the fabrication and lush qualities (like the laces) that the 15?s had are finally returning and I?m ecstatic! I?ve tried other shoes in the Brooks lineup but NOTHING compares to the Glycerin. I am a Glycerin girl forever! It?s like walking/running on a cloud. I would like to try the GTX version at some point to see how it differs from the regular Glycerin. I purchased the black/metallic rose gold option and the light gray with teal and hot pink accents. The gray pair was defiantly roomier and more stretchy than the black rose gold option which I found was odd but likely different colors go through different processes. I like the astatic of the black rose gold ones but the light gray ones fit like a glove. I?m keeping both and look forward to showing them off. Thank you again Brooks for the best running shoe on the market and for giving us some color options in the wide width!

Brooks has continued to one up themselves with the release of the glycerin 19. For me, most notable improvement has been the added support in the heel cup and midsole. After two knee surgeries over the past 25 years I have come to rely heavily on the support from a neutral shoe. Brooks glycerin 19 has not fallen short of my expectations! From the casual daily run, to distance training, I feel that my feet are supported by the perfect amount of dna cushioning. Even the amount of physical contact that the bottom of the shoe has with pavement is impressive. Overall Brooks has continue to impress me with the design changes of their glycerin models over the last several years. I look forward to seeing what the future holds with the continued development of this line! I appreciate the opportunity to be given the chance to try out the glycerin 19?s in exchange for my honest review.

I wore the new Glycerin 19 yesterday all day while working on my feet. This shoe is AMAZING! It has the fresh foam cushion, kind of like walking on pillow with the dependable neutral stability of the Glycerin. We are looking forward to ordering many more of these shoes for our entire office! *I did rceived these shoes free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion. It was a pleasure trying these shoes out!

I received a pair of Glycerin 19?s free of charge from Brooks in exchange for my honest opinion. These are my favorite Glycerins so far, and I?ve been running in them exclusively for six years. The cushioning is extremely comfortable, and the shoe is light and flexible. I highly recommend the Glycerin 19!

The Glycerins have been my favorite running shoe for a long time, so I always like to see what happens when Brooks releases a newer model. Somehow, they made the Glycerin 19 even better than previous models! The thing I love most about this model is the level of cushioning -- making it feel like you are running on clouds. Over the past few models, Brooks has made this shoe a little bit narrower but I find that it gives me a little bit more support in my arches and helps stabilize my foot as it hits the ground. My usual size still fits me, but this means you may want to go up a half of size if you like a bit of a roomier fit. (I did receive these shoes for free in exchange for my review.)

The Glycerin 19 has noticeably more cushion than the 18, but still has a responsive feel during your stride. Even with more cushion, the shoe isn?t weighed down. The mesh on the upper feels like it has more airflow than previous models, which I'm looking forward to in warmer temps. While I received this pair free in exchange for my honest opinion, I'm looking forward to getting a few more pair to get me through training and racing in the coming year.

Ever since my first pair of Glycerin?s in 2014, it?s been the only line of running shoes that I wear in the Brooks family. It?s actually been exciting to see the enhancements from year to year. When I first tried on the Glycerin 19, the toe area felt more snug than last year?s design. But after using them for about a week, I realized that the fabric is actually much more flexible and noticeably stretchier than any of the designs from previous years (at least since Glycerin 12). So my initial concern of this shoe being too tight quickly dissipated. The other noticeable change from last year?s design is that the midsole is wider now, so it extends a little past the width of your foot. It?s more of a visual difference, doesn?t appear to affect fit or performance. The comfort of these shoes is the same as always, it really can?t be beat. Paired with the right running socks, my feet have been blister-free and pain-free, even after 35k+ steps in a day! Overall, I?m super happy with the Glycerin 19. My only wish is that Brooks will create a solid all-black version of the Glycerin (like the women's Ghost 13) so I can wear them at the office and pass them off as work shoes without the noticeable snow-white midsoles lol. I've been using the Glycerin as my everyday trainer for years -- it holds up really well for high mileage, and it's cushioned but still responsive. I recently received the newest model from Brooks free of charge, and I think these are the best version yet! The extra cushion made it so much softer, and the upper felt a lot more flexible and breathable. Thanks so much Brooks!

I have been wearing the Glycerin for marathon training for years and love it. I recently received a pair of the Glycerin 19 in exchange for my honest review. On my first run in the new shoes, I was a bit hesitant as I felt as though there was less cushioning in the front of the shoe than what I am used to with past Glycerin models (or that it was tighter in the toe area?). However, apparently the shoes just required a one time break-in because after that first run, they have been a dream. I have done my regular daily eight mile runs in them in the city and longer trail runs in them as well (around 12-13 miles) and the support has been superb - I would say the 19 is particularly an improvement from the 18 in terms of using for pavement as well as trail running as it feels more solid in terms of confronting rougher terrain than just the sidewalk. All of this to say, I highly recommend the Glycerin 19.

When Brooks asked if I would review the Glycerin 19 shoes and would get to keep them, free of charge, I was so excited. You know that new shoe excitement feeling?? As soon as I put them on, I thought the bottom (outsole/midsole) was wider than I was used to, but after taking them out for a couple jogs, I realized it is likely that the toe box / upper is just narrower. So much so, that my feet tingled and after a couple miles my big toes were not too happy being squeezed. The larger toe box is something I have always loved about Brooks shoes- I guess because I really need it. The Glycerin 19?s have all the stability and cushioning to be expected with the DNA Loft. On my next runs, my feet (and toes) were happier in the 19's with thinner socks. I will always love Brooks shoes!
