I stand on my feet all day at work and these worked great!

I'm a zero-drop Launch 6 lover looking for a new Brooks shoe to do 150 miles/month without paying more than $100/pair. A very light, comfortable shoe, with noticeable spring and bounce. I started adding my Traces to weekly runs and am growing to like them, but not going for runs longer than 5 miles after a little bit of hip pain, which I've found with other springy shoes that I've tried (NB Fresh Foam, etc). Great walking shoes for around the hood. So overall a good start to this line if Brooks is going to continue it.

Took a chance due to sale pricing and was ultimately underwhelmed BUT take that with a big grain of salt as I?ve grown accustomed to the Ghost line. Not quite as much lateral stability on tight turns and feel like these aren?t as cushioned but for a sale price, still a great shoe. Felt a bit more narrow than the Ghosts at the same sizing.

Very lightweight. Cushion is good, and fit is good for this low cost Brooks. Had trouble with sizing and some pressure on right shoe around toes and slippage on heel. Left shoe was fine. Seems that the quality not the same as before. Have always worn Ghost, Revel, and now Trace. Probably like the Revel the most, due to fit and lower heel drop. This shoe has very high drop and had some pain in calf and ankle at first. Still trying to adapt to this. Purchased due sale price and looks.

I bought this shoe as a work shoe as I?m on my feet all day at work, so my rating may not accurately reflect as a running shoe. I can tell it?s structure is the highest quality I?ve owned. I only give it 3 stars though because my priority is that I need cushion for my feet, the description said it was good for cushion, but it really didn?t impress me in that way. I will still use it, but had to buy insoles.

I am typically a Huge fan of Brooks running shoes. I bought these recently to replace the Brooks shoes that I have been wearing at my nursing job. I was disappointed with the Trace. It is much narrower than other men's regular width that I have purchased, & the cushioning, especially in the ball of the foot, is just not there.

There doesn?t seem to be a lot of support in the arch and I am wearing them as a casual shoe

Ok, but not as well designed as Addiction. The construction is somewhat flimsier too.

The shoe, overall, is good. It's light, breathable and pleasant to run in, except for one detail - the back of the shoe is a little high, causing blisters on the achilles. It gets better over time, as the heal becomes softer / stretchier, and that part of the foot becomes a little tougher.

After going with Ghost 10 and Ghost 12's for quite awhile, I decided to give Trace a shot because of the good price. Bad move on my part. I should have checked the difference in ounces. With the Trace being more lightweight than the Ghost, I don't feel like I'm getting the support. I put new shoestrings in my Ghost 12's and went back to them as my favorite shoe.

I've worn size 10-1/2 for 40+ years. Ordered size 11. Too small. Returned them and ordered size 11-1/2. Again, too small. Returned them and ordered a size 12. Still too small. Returned them and simply gave up.

After 6 pairs of Ghosts I though I would try something different. Poor decision on my part. Runs much larger than other Brooks shoes. Too soft.

The Mediums feel awfully narrow, and they're a bit tight in general. I wish they made a Wide of this, but...oh well!

This is my third pair of Brooks and they feel more like Nike?s this time, and made cheaply. I had to change the insole because the contact shock with the road or treadmill was very rough and made my knees hurt.

Really like the neutral color, but it was narrower than expected. I?ll continue to use the Adrenaline for everyday runs.

Congrats to Brooks on their newest shoe. A few of things about the Trace 1 are spot on but overall needs some tweaking. The fit is snug but not constraining and fits to size. The segmented crash pad forefoot is borrowed from the Ghost and allows for good transition and toe off. Also, the upper material is very breathable. This is a soft shoe in every way and for this veteran runner much too soft. With a little built in support I would consider the Trace as a trainer. Also. I would switch out laces from round to flat and adopt the Launch eyelets. Overall, a nice shoe, but much too soft. This is my first try with a truly soft shoe but will stick with my Ghost and Launch lines and return the Trace 1.

As with the low-cut hiking shoes I bought...I learned that I have to go into the store. I want to go into the store. For specialty - running or hiking - Zappos isn't going to work for me.

The trace is a comfortable shoe with a fit that reminded me of a lighter Ghost, one of my favorite running shoes. However it does not have the support of the Ghost & is too soft for me.

The front is so flat that all I hear is rubber hitting the scuff as I walk. The front needs to be built up some in comparison to the heel height. I feel like I?m going to fall if I don?t walk hard infront
