The size and width was good but there was nothing to hold the tongue in place and side in plastic digs into the top of your foot

My first pair of Mizunos were Inspire 15. I did not see them offered so purchased the 17 which is a running shoe. I am not a runner, but I exercise regularly and walk distances. The 17's are not a springy as the 15's

As an avid runner, I feel these run smaller than the 16s. I’ve having an issue with the tongue in the left sneaker. Never had this problem before. I’ve worn them only 3 times, but still too late to return. I’ll have to buy a new pair before my next race now.

Very comfortable shoes. True fit and good arch support. Wore them to work all day and feet feel great.

Loved the look and feel of the shoe but was too small. I returned them.

I have worn Mizuno Wave Inspire shoes for walking for several(maybe 15?) years. Each time a new "number" is released, I have to test the style for toe box comfort. Often, I have to search for discontinued iterations, because the newer versions are too narrow. I do not have wide feet, but have found the solution to the increasingly narrow front of this shoe is to order the wide version. The cute colors are not offered in the wide, but boring is worthwhile if I have comfort for my feet.

I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. But as a longtime Inspire wearer, I just assume I would get the great fit I had in years past. This year they have significantly changed the shoe. I love a snug fit, but now the toebox is way too narrow! I could not size to a Wide as suggested in another review, because I have a narrow heel.

This is a good-looking shoe, but it squeezed my feet up around the bottom part of my toes. I had ordered a medium width, which always has worked for me.

Great looking shoe/color. I have two of the colors. My gray ones got dirty really fast! I’d like to think I treat all my work shoes the same. I had gotten the gray initially because I had bought the blue ones and thought they were amazing. After having both for awhile I feel like the soles are too narrow for how wide my feet are. I wear a medium width shoe. Also the soles seem flat now and have only had them six months. My feet are always aching. I’m used to wearing the wave creation 20 so these were a disappointment.

These are good looking shoes that fit well, although they're not as supportive as other running shoes I've tried in the past. The worst part is that the toe doesn't have much protection and so the fabric got a hole in it with only moderate use within a month of wearing them for walking only.

I don’t know exactly how to rate these, my second pair of Mizuno shoes. They were snug at first, which i expected from the first pair i purchased. But after a few times wearing them i noticed the left shoe had a pressure point on the top of my foot where the tongue is attached. I tried loosening the shoestrings thinking i had them too tight to no avail. After 5-6 times wearing them and several miles the pressure point seemed to be getting worse. Compared to the first pair i have, there’s a 1/4” flap of material in the newer shoes which is not on the older pair. It’s like the tongue wasn’t trimmed correctly. That or the stitching between the left and right side of the shoe is shorter on the left shoe. I know feet aren’t exactly the same but this is extremely irritating to the point of being not wearable. I have contacted Mizuno about it hoping to get another pair. I am pretty sure Zappos would not cover a used pair of shoes. Beware before you use these shoes and toss the box they come in.

These shoes just didn’t feel right. I sent them back. Other Mizuno Inspire shoes have been fine. I have worn Mizuno Inspires for many years.

The wave inspire 15 is still my best running shoe. The 16 got smaller. Mizuno said the 17 has more room again but NO. The mid-foot is especially tight with some extra stiffening that is SO uncomfortable. Even with my slim orthotic instead of their insole, it's unstable. Rats.

Used to love these Mizen Inspire. The 15 was heaven. The 16 and now 17 are too narrow with no give just where the laces start in the forefoot. And the lacings don't open as wide, so hard to get an orthotic in/out.

Nothing even close to previous versions. I've worn the Wave Inspires for years and love them. The shape of the soles on the 17s have me walking on the outside edge of my foot. I'm an overpronator, but this will cause injury.

I have worn Mizuno Wave for years. Unfortunately, the latest version doesn't fit the same way. While the toe box is basically roomy, it seems to be cut so that it rubs against my big toe. I even tried a half size bigger, which was plenty long, but it still rubbed in the same spot. So back they go.

I got the Wide in these after reading reviews. I would say that's probably a correct action, but to be fair I did not try the medium width. I have the 15s of this style (Mizuno Wave Inspire), and loved them because they were roomy in the toe box and corrected my overpronation without the need for additional inserts. These 17s do not fit the bill in the least. They do not feel cushioned, do not feel like there is arch support, and definitely do not correct for overpronation. Additionally, I did not like the stretchy laces on these - very odd.

Not the usual comfort and fit of the Mizuno Wave Inspire. I ordered half a size up and still felt too small, the toe area is cramped.

It took me way too long to figure this out. This shoe is too narrow and I have a narrow foot. Heel is comfortable so I was distracted. Too many weeks later I realize how uncomfortable these truly are and I need to replace them. I have worn mizuno for years without any issue. This is a Major disappointment!!

I took the advice from the site and ordered a half size up. It was so narrow! The part that I highlighted in green in the picture squeezed and chafed my skin so bad. That part wouldn't expand at all. I wanted to love it, but I didn't and requested a return.

I wear a size 7 in just about every shoe, but these were TINY! I re-ordered an 8 Wide, and they seem to fit, but not really digging the shoes.

I have this exact style, but bought them a year ago. I bought the same size and they were so tight I could barely try them on. Plus, as other reviewers noted, the tongue is secured to the shoe with a mesh and elastic system that would drive me nuts. They're going right back.
