They are too soft. Orthotics will help. The structure of the shoe is nice though.

I have always been a fan of the Nimbus shoes but these are not as comfortable. My feet are tired at the end of my work day and that hasn't always been the case with prior models. Not sure why these are not as comfortable but something seems different to me

I tend to wear a very wide running shoe, and the Asics tend to fit my feet well. I bought a pair of Nimbus 22s last year and replaced them with the 23 this year, which didn't rub my Morton's toe as much as the 22s. I was disappointed that the sole wore out "fast" and that I started to see some holes developing in the upper where it hits the outer curve of the side of my foot, but then I looked at my walking and running stats and see that I wore these for around 700 miles so I suppose "fast" is only in terms of calendar time - these shoes gave me more milage than could be reasonably expected and owe me nothing. I don't know why so many wide shoes are only ever offered in the most conservative, boring colors in men's shoes (which tend to be pretty dull anyway) but at least the bluish-gray this year adds a little bit of color over the usual black/white or white/black combinations that wide shoes usually come in.
I'd also recommend:

I'm a heavier runner - 6'4" / 220lbs. Switched to the Nimbus from Nike Pegasus. Definitely heavier and softer, less responsive cushioning. Super comfortable though, but I feel like my runs take more effort.

Insole Ortholite are too soft. Go to an orthotic. The Flytefoam provides a smooth stable ride.

Always wear 9 in GEL Nimbus until th3 23 version. The 9 is way too big. Had to return it. Hoping the 8.5 fits.

Very comfortable, the only thing is that they are narrow in the front.

Good cushion, support for the long distance runs. Tempo runs are done very nicely on these. A good training shoe.

My first pair of these are noticeably louder/squeakier than my Nimbus 22's on some hard surfaces. Is this to be expected?

These shoes are beautiful and I really wanted to like them. However the toe box is narrower than on a lot of other Asics models and my toes felt cramped. There isn't enough curvature in the shoe and my big toes started to hurt.

These shoes fit like a glove. Very comfortable right out of the box. Very cushy.

Fits a bit tight but that could be due to the fact that I haven't really worked them in yet. Ran a few miles, I do like them far better than the 22's.

This is my 5th pair of Nimbus shoes. They feel and run good. Nice and light too! Only problem I have is they fit a little tight width wise. Same size as my previous pairs too. Got a good deal on them for almost 40% off too!

Very good running shoe. But if you go by your fit guide, then order a size larger, they are narrow at the toe area

I like the comfort of these shoes however part of the sole came unglued after only a few weeks. I had to re-glue it.

Great running shoe. The tongue seems to be a bit too short.

It ran well right out of the box. Compared to Gel-Nimbus 22, it was little snug. Gel-Nimbus 22 was better. However, Gel-Nimbus 23 runs good thus far. Have put about 80 miles on the so far.

Fantastic everyday trainer as usual. Snugs the foot well. Ample toe room. Unlike previous models it is rough past the 5 mile mark so not a long distance shoe this time around.

The first pair I ordered was much narrower then previous versions. I had to return and get a wider size which seems to be better. Why did they change the standard width??

The shoe is comfortable, but the bottom of my shoe looks to peel off a bit, not major but is noticeable . Shoe runs big I'm a size 11 I should have got a 10.5

Comfy. Beautiful. True to size. One side of the tread is already peeing after 10 miles of walking, but it's only annoying when it catches on something.
