this sneaker offers no support. had a pair of venture mx 7 . that was a far superior sneaker. would never buy this one again

Maybe they need to be broken in, but I felt no refreshed support with this new pair. I bought the same style for the last 4 purchases.

I have been wearing Asics for 25 years and never have I received a pair of shoes as bad as these. They are not true to size, the are short, tight, and generally uncomfortable, even after trying to break them in for 3 weeks. I hope that this is just a quality control issue with this pair, but even the sole makes it feel like walking in work boots. I will continue to buy Asics, just hoping this is a one off

Tight fit in the toe area. Worst fitting asics i have had so far. And they will not exchange them

I just bought the Gel Contend 7 in size 11 and a half 4E because I have an old pair of Gel Contend 3 in the same size. That shoe is so comfortable, it is like wearing slippers. This new Gel Contend has a very narrow toe box. I feel my little toes crushed with every step. I wear out a pair of shoes every six months as a I walk miles every day. I cannot wait to wear out these shoes so I can buy another brand.

Less than desirable control of manufacturing specifications/sizing.

Runs VERY small and very stiff shoe. Usually love ASics, very disappointed.

I've bought ASICS for quite a while and I think they are the best shoe out there. Unfortunately the Gel-Contend 7 is not up to the standards of previous models. The biggest problem is that they are severely small. My big toes are crammed into the inside of the shoe to the point where I can't wear them. They are also extremely narrow in the toe area. If you're going to buy this shoe, then order a full size larger and wider.
