I seldom buy from Zappos anymore, takes too long to get the shoes. Used to be overnight, guess they got rid of this brilliantly popular option. Would gladly pay double to get it next day.

I have a wide foot, and have a lot of challenges finding sneakers that can accommodate my width. I walk 4+ miles each morning, so comfort is key for me. These shoes are wide, and due to the design, they don't have any "structure" in the toe cap to constrain your feet. The mesh-like sides flex to the width of your foot. Really happy I found these.

Very comfortable, supportive, and stylish! I love the high contrast styling, but the major factor in my purchase is that these shoes are described as being for folks with supination (underpronation). So far I've only used them for workouts— for which they are perfect!— but eventually I'll wear them to stores, too. I have a different pair of shoes I wear to work. I don't usually buy men's shoes, but occasionally I like the menswear offering better than what I can find in the ladies' department. The fit is very similar to the other two pairs of men's size 7 (40 in EU) that I've worn in the past, no more or less longer or wider. As for other size 40s, this may be slightly wider than usual, but that could be the flexibility of the upper, which is a mesh-like material. For others who also wear women's sizes, I typically wear 8.5 in women's sneakers and tennis shoes, 9 in dress shoes or boots.

Love this line of ASICS...this is my third pair of the Contend line...the last pair was the version 6 which were a bit more comfortable than this version. This version seems a little bit more rigid than the prior release. Great looking pair of shoes in the black and royal blue.

Fit and size were perfect. Price was good and delivery was very quick.

Ordered these for my fiancé so he’d have good walking shoes for our upcoming camping trip to Zion. Shoes arrived the day after I placed the order! They look great, and we will see how the soles hold up to the terrain we will be walking. He claims they won’t need a break-in period, and champions how comfortable they were out of the box. He’s on his feet all day as an Ironworker, so I like knowing that these will be comfortable when he’s on his feet for leisure. Material of upper is a very breathable mesh material. Burro stickers (Goathead stickers) embed in the sole easily, but don’t penetrate through since the material is thick. Size reference: Fiancé wears size 12 Adidas Superstars, and 11W Thorogood work boots.

These shoes fit much like the other pairs I have of the same brand. It does appear that the same models of the "Contend" are getting less soft and conformable with each number. I started getting this shoe with it was a "Contend 5" then got a " Contend 6" and now have the "Contend 7." Each seemed to be a little less soft to the walk. I walk four miles daily so I ware-out shoes regularly and really like the ASCIS brand. I do recommend this shoe.

I am usually a New Balance shoe person. I feel their quality has seriously been lacking in the last few years. Wanted to try Asics. I have a wide foot and it is hard to find a shoe that is wide enough. These are wide enough but felt the arch support was barely there. I have purchased some over-the-counter arch supports to put in the shoes. They are a bit more comfortable. We will see how long they last and if I am able to wear them on a daily basis. Price was good.

They fit great, the fabric used offers great breathability and the insoles are comfortable.

Love these! Purchased for my 16 year old son. We’re in the middle of marching band season and he needed an extra pair of shoes that would hold up. The extra wide width is perfect for his PowerStep Maxx orthotics (also at Zappos and awesome for his pronation), and he loves the look and feel of the shoe. I have tried several other big shoe brands: some on the lower end and a few that were a little more expensive. ASICS has always been our go to. They hold up amazingly well compared to other brands! Our whole family wears them.

Excellent shoes! The arch support is better than most other shoes (it could still be better, but it's the best I've found so far), and the edges under then ankles are low enough to avoid pushing against the ankles (which is a problem with many other shoes). Hopefully they keep this model around a long time!

This shoe gets a good price, performance, and durability in a single product. From previous experience, I expect to get at least a year of use and over 500 miles of running on these shoes before I need to replace them as my primary running shoes. At that point they are still perfectly good as ordinary gym shoes. Unlike some prestige branded shoes, I have not had knee problems caused by inadequate impact cushioning, uneven wear, or too much weight.

Nice sneaker, good price. The fit felt like a size too small. I returned the size 11, which is what I usually wear, and got a size 12 and that was just right.

Bought these for my husband because he has been in search of a dark gray pair of sneakers. (I had to give up my Asics a few years ago because I think they restyled them with a smaller toe box and/or my foot continues to get wider as I get older.) However, my husband has a more narrow foot so the toe box was perfect for him!! He didn't feel as if he foot was sliding around inside the shoe. And, as always, Asics are well made and offer great support!! We'll definitely be buying more of the style and brand for him!! P.S. The price on this particular style/color was a fantastic deal!!!

It’s comfortable and it’s help me throughout my days working when you have to be standing all the time

I've known my Asics Gel shoe size, 9.5, medium width, for as far back as I can remember. That's what I order and that's what I get, and that goes for my new Gel-Contend-7's. Nicely padded, very comfortable right out of the box. And the dark grey on black combo is down right classy. Couldn't ask for more.

These were for my 11 year old son. He has a wide foot but these fit well in a medium width. He’s super hard on shoes so we’ll see how they hold up. I’m personally not a fan of these thick-soled running shoes but he says they’re great lol I feel like this brand looks cheaper now with the way they style the blue striping part. It looks like an iron-on decal. Shoes these days are quite lacking in quality. I am grateful for the fairly affordable price though. Buying growing kids shoes is a nightmare on the wallet lol

I purchased these in extra wide to prevent my small toe from rubbing the edge of the shoe. Unlike other running shoes including ASICS Gel-Nimbus and ASICS GT-1000, both extra wide which developed a hole in the side of the shoe from the toe, these shoes fit perfectly.

Fit good, comfortable and nice cool fabric. Great for summer.

I think this is probably a great shoe. I am 270 pounds though and this shoe wasn't up to that. I could feel the shape of the support under my heel. There is a large hollow hole directly right under the heel. I found this uncomfortable. If I were a lighter person, I think I would have really liked these.
