I didn't realize what I was getting!
I love love the phantom Zip foam.
I ordered ultafly3 this tennis shoes gets only a 3 in rating does not compare to the phantom.
The phantom is bye far the best tennis shoe I've owned.

The Ultrafly 2 was a perfect fit for my foot. I have 340 miles on them and they've still got miles to go! The Ultrafly 3 is at least a half-size longer, and the toe box is wider and taller. I don't feel the same secure fit as with the UFly 2. I can't speak to the midsole because these are going back. I would still recommend the 3's, it's just a matter of fit.

I have had the first pair now a month. At first I thought they were perfect and I just raved about them. As time has gone on(and I don't wear them all day every day) I began to notice my foot slipping around in them and then the front part of the shoe under toe box seemed to just get mushy. I was sliding around and not getting any support giving my ankles a workout. I soon realized the shoe has stretched out to being a full half size too long as well. I really like these shoes except for the loose goose effect. I need a wide toe box as I have a great toe joint replacement that failed and I have a relatively normal not wide foot otherwise. I liked the snug heel fit and the padding. So I returned the 10.5 and just ordered a 10 today. We will see.

I really wanted to like these shoes. I need a running shoe with a wider toe box, and these were supposed to be it. But on my first run, they rubbed the side of my foot raw, on both my big toe, and on my heel. I'm going to try the Brooks Ghost 13 and see how those do.
I'd also recommend:

I like the wide toebox but they wear out VERY FAST! Last two pairs the upper pulled away from the sole. Also, the sole presses out flat as a pancake. They lose their integrity quickly. At this point, we're not sure if we are going to keep buying Topos, they were great at first but took a nosedive when the upper changed to cheap fabric and cheap sole.

I had ordered size 7, but it was too wide across the forefoot & a bit large. I then tried size 6.5. It fit through the heel, arch & across the width of the forefoot, but was too short inlength. My toes hit the front of the shoe. So disappointed.

My feet are shaped with a long 2nd (and 3rd) toe. The Ultrafly in my usual shoe size is at least a full size too small, with my toes jammed at the front of the shoe. I don't think I can size up further as the rest of the shoe width-wise is incredibly roomy and doesn't feel secure around my foot. I probably won't use these for running as I initially intended, but they might be ok for casual walks or errands. The color is really peppy and great. Wish that these fit better.

I spoke with customer service before ordering to see what would be the best for my needs, which is standing & walking at work for 6-7 hours 5 days. My heals get sore from standing & my back is sore. Not what I expected them to be like. Not what I expected after talking to customer service for help. Disappointed

I was trying to replace an older, wonderful Topo shoe, and this model proved to be too flexible and not supportive enough.
It is probably a fine shoe, just not for my feet.

Took me awhile to figure out these were the reason for my foot pain by end of day.
No heel padding like on Ultrafly 2
Bring back the 2 's so I can stock up

I am a weekend walker of neighborhood trails. I loved the fit and look of these shoes, but I've only had them for nine weeks and there are holes in the topline, as if I had freakishly protruding ankle bones rubbing against it. I'm really disappointed.

A friend recommended Topo for their wide toe box. While my neuroma did not flare up thanks to the toe box, I wound up returning these. I experienced cramping in my midfoot still trouble with plantar fasciitis. Also, after two days wearing them, the upper began separating from the sole on the inside of the right foot. Not what I'd hope for in brand new shoes.
Luckily, the 30-day trial and customer service made returns easy. Would recommend these for someone else with fewer foot problems!

I was in love with TOPO shoes the moment I put their very first UltraFly on. My feet were cradled in a cloud. It was soft and cushiony for my long runs. My feet didn't feel pain after hitting the pavement again and again. So soft. I am not certain what has changed from UltraFly 1 & 2 to UltraFly 3, but after 1 month my feet hurt. When I slip the shoe on instantly my feet feel like they are slapping the hard pavement and it hurts. After 3 months I will be looking for a new shoe. I am sad as I really loved their other versions.

I have a pair of ultrafly 3's that I wear all the time. I have CRPS in my left foot, so finding shoes that don't hurt me is very difficult. I ordered the same size ultrafly 3's in black, and it's too tight on my foot. I have to return them.

I decided to try the Ultrafly 3 after the Zephyr was discontinued. I received excellent help from the Topo Team to learn about other options. I always thought I'd like more cushioning in a shoe than less. Unfortunately, the Ultrafly 3 is not for me. It looks great! It feels like an Altra Timp with less cushioning. I will miss the Zephyr sorely. The Zephyr was more responsive and more firm than the Ultrafly 3, and less bulky, and it was somehow perfect. It was one one of my top 5 favorite shoes in 20+ years of running. I might try the (uglier) Cyclone instead.

I'm not sure what is wrong with these shoes but I have never gotten blisters from shoes. I got the size I normally do and it was horrible.

The plastic look and feel of this shoe make it seem cheap and not durable enough for hiking. I returned them.
