I really really want to love these shorts but they?re too big on me (5ft 97lbs 24inch waist). Super soft and great material. Can?t wear them running so they?re my go-to cleaning shorts. Highly recommend if you have different proportions than me!!

I got a large I am 5'9 and 155 pounds. The band is a little loose and the built-in underwear is on the tighter side. Overall sooo comfortable. It's so hard to find running shorts that are perfect but I would consider these close.

The shorts are great but they run a bit big! I wear medium in Nike running shorts but I wish I would have ordered a small in these. They are super lightweight and dry quickly. Great for long runs! Plenty of storage!

Nice fit and didn't pinch or restrict in any way when I went for a run. Also I could fit my phone into the back zippered pocket just fine. I wasn't able to test whether or not the phone bounced during my run because I put my phone in my running belt, but it seemed very secure in the pocket. The waistband was a little tight when I first put them on and they didn't look super flattering, but it stretched into shape pretty quickly. I got medium, but I could easily see getting them in large and them still fitting just fine, and potentially a bit more flatteringly.

Sizing was accurate, wish they underlined wasn?t so large. Shorts could also be a tad longer for my personal preference.

Just bought two more pairs today! These are my go to race shorts for marathons. I?m very particular about feeling comfortable while racing. The shorts are lightweight and do not ride up. My advice to keep them in good shape is to air dry them or dry on low once out of the washer. The Brooks logo will eventually come off of you dry in high heat. Love the back zipper pocket. I?m able to hold three gels and the front inside pocket holds about two more. One more pocket couldn?t hurt though. My husband has every Brooks shorts style and his seem to have cooler pockets

These shorts are amazing! I was looking for a new black pair to replace a worn out pair and when I tried these on, I loved the waistband and the fact the back pocket fit my phone was ? The only drawback is that there is no drawstring or cord to tighten the waistband. It isn't a HUGE deal (yet) but I feel like if I continue wearing them with my phone in the back pocket they are going to stretch out. I'm a size small pretty consistently and that's what I bought in these but maybe sizing down would help.

I bought a size small, and they are a bit loose on the waist. They may work better for casual wear than running in.. I wish they were a bit more snug.

These shorts feel close to wearing nothing when running which is amazing, they are so light and free. I really wish that Brooks would adjust the sizing to a number scale to allow for smaller changes between sizes. A medium fits my waste perfectly, but is a little tighter than I would like on my hips, but the large that fits my hips is baggy on my waste. Would love to see Brooks create more sizes.

This is my 3rd pair of these shorts. So clearly I like them a lot. But the fabric on this pair came out of the package with a few flaws and "runs" - think pantyhose - in it. I have a pair that is a few years old and just now starting to see this kind of thing. Disappointed in the QC of the fabric - but the fabric is still the best for hot-hot weather that I've found.

These run small. Material is great. Fabric is nice and lightweight, but I am disappointed in the sizing

I won't to love them...but the high waste is so annoying. If I fold them down, they work....but I fear once it gets warm outside the folded down waste will cause chaffing issues. The length is great, but I have been worried about running a longer run in them.

It seems like most brands are moving in the direction of only offering high-waisted running shorts with bigger liners, and Brooks' new 3" Chaser shorts are no different. I really, really liked the previous version of these shorts - my only suggestions for improvement were to widen the liner width between the legs (i.e. the fabric that covers the crotch) and add a zipper to the pocket or add an additional key pocket inside. So I am disappointed overall with the update. The high-waisted design isn't comfortable to me to run in (I'm 5'8", 130 lbs and wear a size small) - the waist band is basically too big at that level on my body, but I have athletic glutes and thighs so a XS didn't solve that fit issue. I dislike the new "hipster" style of the liner, as well. Likely it's a result of setting the waistline higher, but I find that the seam hits my hip at an unflattering length and angle, and bunches no matter what. I have a big butt for my body shape and the liner is way too big! The bikini liner style works better on my body shape, typically. I do like the new fabric a lot, although I really liked the old Chaser fabric, too. And the addition of more pockets, especially the zipper on the back, is a big improvement. Brooks, PLEASE consider making another running short option, similar to the previous version of this style, with a bikini-style liner and a lower rise. That way, women have multiple options depending on their fit preferences and body shapes.

The new, light material is great and the soft, wider liner material is wonderful. These could be great shorts if they had a real split on the sides. Because there is only the tiniest of splits on the side, the shorts greatly move with every step and it's very noticeable and uncomfortable. Despite all the positives, it bad enough that it makes me not want to wear them. Fix that and these shorts are darn near perfect!

I was hoping to give this short a higher rating, but there are two things that I don't like and liked better in the old version of the Chaser 3 short. First, the pros: lightweight inner liner reduces chafing zipper pocket - huge improvement over the old Chaser 3 that had just a small, non-zippered pocket. Now, the cons: high waist - compared to the old Chaser 3 this short sits much higher on the waist; since this has a built in underwear, it is clear how high up it is supposed to go on the waist. I can't stand high waisted pants/shorts so I pushed the waistband down to where I like it to sit on my hips. The bad part is that because it has the inner liner/underwear, the underwear then sag inside the short. waistband is rough - the seam where the waistband comes together in the back is so rough that after running in these shorts 5 days straight I have a spot on my back wear it has worn a sore spot. I had to switch back to my old shorts it was so bad. The old short has a different kind of waistband that is soft and doesn't have the big seam.

What's good: the material is great (light, stretchy, breatheable), and the design of the liner is an improvement over past years (I have another pair of Chaser shorts and the width of the built in underwear between the legs was too narrow). What I don't like with this version: I'm a true Medium and these are on the large end of Medium (as in, any weight in the back zippered pocket will start to pull the short off me). The built in underwear are also longer than in the past, so I have to wear them up near my belly button to fit snugly and not have extra fabric bunching around my waist. A step in the right direction, but not perfect yet.

I love the material and color but not having a draw string was a bad idea. My waist is a lot smaller than my hips and there was no way to adjust them. Definitely not for someone with curves :(

I was so excited about these shorts, but was a little disappointed. I am 5'5, 140 lb. the medium fits my waist, but is too tight on my thighs and rides up like crazy. I tried sizing up, and the waistband wouldn't even stay up. I love the style and material, and I would be sold on these if they fit me right!

You may fall into the size guides range, but if you?re a curvy woman in those sizes it?s a no go. These look super tight on me and are pulling. I?m not even going to try and run in them because they?re riding up just walking to look at the mirror. Used to be my favorite brand, but the sizing is SO inconsistent now.

These have been my favorite quick drying long run shorts but this pair had a really rough seam at the base of my back and left a pretty bad cut/chaff. Only 7 mile run . So not thrilled with these but won?t give up. I have 2 other pair. They have been great.

Too short. Especially if you have wider hips or bigger glutes.

I am really sad to say that I was very disappointed with these shorts. Great for lifting and once the weather was warm enough to wear shorts, I ran my long run in them and suffered severe chafing :( I never chafe so I didn't think twice about it until I looked at my thighs afterwards only to discover them chewed up by these shorts.

I bought the latest Chaser 3 because I really liked the old Chaser 3. But they changed the waistband and the seam in the back is now raised and so rough that it rubs my back raw. I can't really use the shorts at all.
