This shorts are incredibly comfortable. I prefer long shorts and these were just the right size. I found myself doing several HIIT work outs and strength training before running in them. I loved them for all things but running at least on a treadmill. Ultimately when I sprinted on the treadmill they exposed my thighs and I had to pull them down constantly. I?m still trying them on a long run with no sprints and see how that goes?

Bought these after I saw them perform well on Erin Azar (Mrs. Space Cadet)s thigh gobbling test - and I love them! Normally I wear bike shorts for long runs cause I dont trust flowy shorts to not chafe. These are the rare exception. Highly recommended!

I love these shorts! Great length and lightweight. However, I haven't had them long and the little Brooks symbol is already peeling off.

As someone with thicker legs, I was hoping the longer length would stop the creep up that happens as a log miles. While the creep up doesn't start right away, it's still a problem. Also, the air slits in the back gap sometimes, leaving me feeling exposed.

Thank you! Shorts that do not ride up my thighs! I do wish Brooks had more of a selection in size large and over. It's so hard finding shorts in this style thay do not ride up.

I tried the 7" length shorts because thought it would be good to have more coverage so that I'm not self-conscious while working with my personal trainer. But being 5' tall, the length and the biased cut just make them look goofy on me. They do seem like good, functional, light weight running shorts though. I actually prefer the 5" Chaser shorts, so I will keep those and return these. I like the Chaser 2-in-1 shorts as well, and those address the modesty situation also.

While some details have changes through the years, the Chaser 7" shorts remain the best all-around shorts I've ever owned. The length is exactly what I'm looking for. All the pockets are a huge bonus. I'm not a runner, but an avid hiker and backpacker and there are no better shorts for those pursuits. During warm weather, I wear these shorts everyday. Around the house, walking the dog, on vacation, to the brewery, etc. The fabric wears pretty well, however the latest iteration seems a bit less durable. And the logo wears off right away as well, but that's not an issue for me. Less product placement advertising for Brooks. I own 5 pairs of Chaser 7" shorts and will continue to wear the old ones and buy new ones. Can not recommend these highly enough.

They are ridiculously comfortable and I love them in every way except the fact that they still ride up when I run and even more so when I hike in them! I have big quads and it?s been hard to find shorts that don?t ride up, but the comfort and the big pockets are worth the riding up!

LOVE THEM! The fabric is amazing. It dries quickly. The flowy fit allows for air flow. I took a star off my review because the side pockets are weird. They?re cut at an odd angle and won?t really hold anything, and the make the shorts look frumpy on the hips. I would love them without the side pockets. Then they?d be perfect!

I bought these for the thigh coverage, hoping to prevent the riding up that comes from so many running shorts. I consider myself a more muscular build through the hips and thighs, and though the shorts still rode up a bit, I am so happy to finally have a pair that aren?t gobbled by my thighs.

The light fabric is awesome and the overall design is good, but there are two improvements that I think would really help - the liner is not quite big enough around the rear end so the liner creeps up (and I actually do not have a large posterior!) and the liner elastic around the legs is not quite as comfortable as some of my other running shorts.

LOVE the entire cut of the short and bought two pairs. The inseam is perfect and does not ride up even if you are on the heavy side. The shorts are loose & good air circulation. The only problem is the seam stitching on the sides is fraying. I have been using a sweater shaver to clean it up, but for how much they cost, the stitching should not be coming out.

These are nice comfortable running shorts that did not ride up my legs to bad.

They are flattering and fit great. The only problem is that whether I am running or walking in them, the right side of the inner thigh always rides up and I have to pull it down. I don't have this issue with the 5" chaser short.

Good fit with minimal bunching, wish for ability to close on of larger pockets.

Long enough so my thighs don't chafe, exactly why I wanted them. They also look good but that's not something I care too much about when I'm sweating profusely. My only issue with them is that I have a hard time getting my phone in the back pocket fast enough when I've started a guided run but I'm sure I'll get better with practice.

Would prefer a version of this with a higher waist. Even just 1 inch more to reach the belly button. I would def buy a 6 inch or 6.5 inch version of this (with higher waist) too. V well constructed, breathable and comfy. I?m a loyal Brooks running customer and hope this feedback is helpful:)

I like the length and fit of these shorts, very lightweight material, slightly clingy when wet, but very comfortable. The waistband could be slightly higher for me...I am on the chubbier side and got an XL.

I like the fit and the pockets. Very comfortable. Wish they did not come out of the wash so wrinkled.

Love them. I've been searching a long time for a short that accommodates larger thighs, doesn't ride up and most importantly - does not chafe. These shorts are light and breezy enough for a hot day and are long enough they don't leave me with any painful chafe areas after a long run (18 miles tested). The pockets do stick out a little funny when standing around and you can't secure the small key pocket in the back to ensure you won't loose your car key but I can work around that for a chafe free run.

I love my Brooks 7inch inseam running shorts. They don?t ride up and the length is perfect! I?m 68 years old and most running shorts are just too short!

Love these shorts. I have several pairs of the previous model, just purchased 2 of this updated model and they're great for my needs, especially the extra pockets. I have one desire though, to find something similar in a 6" length. I purchased the 5" several years ago, they're shorter than I'd like. The 7" are a bit longer than I'd like, at 5'6" a 6" length would be perfect.

Love these shorts, but prefer the previous side overlap on the leg, rather than the new stitched side - this rides up.
