Like the undershorts but waist strap doesnt feel strong enough to carry any items of significance in pockets. Side 35 waist, typically a size large but these felt loose and waist strap was weak.

These shorts are awesome as long as you dont have crazy expectations for the pockets. Theyre super comfortable, the big flat waistband has blown my mind and I will never be able to go back to a normal one. The side pocket does hold safely hold a phone, but there isnt enough compression in the shorts to keep it from bouncing around a lot. Im 57, 135 lbs with decently sized quads and the XS, which is the right size everywhere else, still lets my phone bounce around too much and I end up just leaving my phone home most of the time unless I desperately need it. The other pockets are good for carrying snacks but not much else. Fit: 6 stars, its hard to wear my other running shorts now. Pockets: 3.5 stars, okay but not awesome.

These are my 4th pair of these and they have changed a few things including the fit. Still fits well but has gotten slightly bigger. There is a new zipper head on the pocket that is a bit bigger and I think the liner material has changed. I still like them, but not as much as the OG version. Products change over time.

Just finished my first 25km trail race. These performed flawlessly. A piece of me died inside when I pinned my bib through them but I guess Ill remember that as a badge of actually using them. They do fit pretty big. If you wear boxer briefs I would say go with whatever size of those you wear. I originally got large but had to return them for mediums. The mediums fit perfectly. You want a tight fit to avoid chaffing based on my experience with the larger size I had to return. I would absolutely buy more of these in the future. I hope more colors, ideally a brighter color or two will come out as well. The most comfortable shorts I have worn for sure. And the icing on the cake is the pockets are great. I dont use the zipper one for my phone on runs but when Im wearing them around the start/finish, etc. they support the phone well. The side pockets have been perfect for gels. Very easy to access. 10/10 with every way you could evaluate these.

Great running shorts, incredibly comfortable, but the phone pocket on the side of the leg is not ideal. With how big phones are today, you end up feeling somewhat off balance

Best shorts ever so I bought a few. Very comfortable and great storage for short and very long runs even hikes, iPhone mini stays very secure in the side pocket!! Can you make the key loop maybe 0.5" longer? Car keys are getting bigger and bigger !

I love the shorts but the zipper pocket is not secure. It opens out through the leg, so nothing you put in the pocket is safe.

Liner fits odd in the rear. 32-33 inch waist and the L size doesnt stay up. Drawstring doesnt tighten enough.

I bought a pair of these about a year ago and they were awesome so I bought 2 more pairs.. I hate carrying my phone with me when I run, but when my Apple Watch broke I was stuck. The pocket on these shorts is perfect for my iPhone. It holds the phone in place without bouncing around and the side pouches are perfect for gels. I was unsure about the liner at first as I like the UA heat gear boxer briefs, but this does the job and keeps everything where it needs to be. These are lightweight and comfortable, they do a good job of wicking the sweat away so they don't get too heavy when you sweat or run in the rain.

These are wonderful running shorts. The only thing that would put these over the top for me would be a zipped pocket on one of the sides.

Nice shorts. Fit well (large, 36" waist, 5'11" 200lb). I wish the waist draw string was more elastic.

i live in super humid/hot florida, and these are really nicely light weight (even in summer) while also remaining supportive on the inside. i like them a lot better than the equivalent saxx shorts that i have. i'd have given it 5 stars but the key pocket came with a small hole in it (but big enough to lose a key in). kind of frustrating for a not-inexpensive shorts.

I have around five pairs of Brooks Cascadia 7" 2-in-1 Shorts. They are excellent and their standout feature is the pockets. While there is no apparent announcement, apparently Brooks is no longer making them. The Sherpa is the apparent new kid replacement. The Cascadia had a thigh-liner phone pocket that fit the phone snugly. The Sherpa has a zipper pocket on the right side and, while it accommodates the phone, it tends to bounce around. The Cascadia had a zipper pocket on the left and a smallish pocket with a fold-over top on the right. The Sherpa has two open drop pockets on the left. I'm trying hard to like the Sherpas, as they are the only game in town, but the Cascadias were demonstrably superior. I just wish I had more of a warning that Brooks decided to quit selling them.

Wish the side pockets were a bit smaller so my phone could sit tightly in there with minimal movement

2X is too large. 1X is a little too tight and rides down when moving. As with most athletic companies, Brooks should develop a line that is tailored/cut for people getting into shape and not already lean. I do expect these to last as long as my other pairs. So, they will fit better as I lose more weight.

As an aficionado of running shorts with liners - I found these Sherpa 7" 2-in-1 shorts to be exceptional in nearly every way - except one. The fit (medium) was perfect for my build (6' 175lbs) and they are generally quite comfortable whatever the distance and conditions (just not too cold). Pockets are plentiful - and the zipper pocket is great - except there is a small opening that I wish wasn't there. I don't run with a phone typically and only want my zipper pockets to be secure. With the opening - I cannot use the pocket for items that could fall out. Beware if purchasing these shorts with that in mind.

I purchased the Sherpa shadow on April 25 and have taken 4 runs with them, my observations: 1. Shorts are lightweight and comfortable - on me they have a tendency to slip down a little in the back 2. Not a fan of the pocket design: I run with a S10(in a protective case) and getting it in and out is an issues vs a regular pocket. If I need quick access to it is not convenient at all. Just getting it to fit in to start takes too much time 3. The overall fit is good, however if you need to tighten them there is not a lot of draw string to work with 4. the 2 in 1 feature works well, for me.
