They're very comfy, but they're not my favorite. I might be old fashioned but I don't like the pocket setup. It's awkward to get my phone in the pocket that can kind of fit it and I just don't have enough accessories for the little pockets along the waistband.

Would like the compression to be a little more snug around the groin. And the waistband looks great but is a bit thick. But good storage, shorts themselves are light, and they look great

Had to return. Side pocket was not big enough for my phone. Large phone with OtterBox case. Also shorts seemed to ride down a little bit

Great while they last. After only a month or so the liner started ripping, which lead to increasingly worse chafe-ing. Brooks support replaced the pair for free but I quickly encountered the same issue with the second pair.

Overall, I like the shorts, but I don't "love" them. I really like the phone pocket. These are the first shorts I've used that have that and it makes a big difference not having to carry my phone or it flapping around on my leg. The inner lining is very comfortable, although I had the seams on the inner thighs of the liner chafe my inner thighs (partially my mistake and only happened on my first long run with the shorts). It would be nice if those seams could be on the outer thighs. The waistband feels a tad too large and is not very elastic, so it doesn't hug the waist and feels like the liner is holding the pants in place. The liner feels nice so I'm not sure whether I should size down. The drawstring is small (in terms of thickness) and also not very elastic which I believe contributes to them being not much help tightening the shorts and a bit difficult to untie. Also, the seam on the left pocket has started to separate from the mesh of that pocket. I have only run in them for about 5 long runs now. Pros + inner liner + phone pocket that hugs to hip and doesn't allow phone to flap around Cons - waistband is slightly too large and doesn't hug the waist - drawstring needs either more thickness or elasticity - left pocket elastic seam is coming loose Personal nit-pick * prefer the liner seams meet on the outer thigh instead of inner thigh (but you're probably smarter than I was about preventing chaffing)

I had to return the shorts because it wasn't even close to fitting my phone (pixel 7). The short felt comfortable though and would be fine if you didn't need to keep your phone in it. I can't stress enough, the phone pocket is tiny and will only hold the smallest of phones. The stretchy back pocket could fit it, but then that felt really bad running in.

Lining and fit are good. Biggest problem is that the pocket is barely big enough for my Samsung Galaxy S24 mobile phone.

Love the shorts, but the liner needs some work. I can only get about 10-12 wears out of these before there is a giant hole in the liner. The material needs a lot of improvement. It's happened to every pair l've had. Can the liner be made a little more durable? There is no issue with the outside of the shorts, just the inner liner.

These shorts fit really well. The waistband and liner are very comfortable. My main complaint is the zipper pocket is not fully enclosed, so you can put a key, airpods, or another small item in it and still possibly lose that item through the bottom of the shorts between the liner and outside layer. The stitching for the inside of the pocket should go all the way to the top of the pocket, IMO.

Comfortable fit but the inner lining wore out within 110 miles on the Colorado trail. Like I had worn them maybe once before my trip and by mile 100 there were considerable holes in the center seam. And now about 170 miles in its just a massive hole

The phone pocket is small and difficult to maneuver my phone in and out. My last race was in the rain, and my phone rubbed sores on my leg during the marathon.

I don't like how they have a low rising fit around the waistline. You have to try to pull them up higher to protect the fit.

I like the style and pocket layout, but size medium was too tight and large was a bit too loose causing them to slip when I have my phone.

Overall fine. Would by again when on sale. brief liner is not as soft as other 2in 1 shorts I use and my large size seemed to fit a bit big. Pockets are great.

Liner fits odd in the rear. 32-33 inch waist and the "L" size doesn't stay up. Drawstring doesn't tighten enough.

This is tricky. The fit and material are great. Very comfortable. I'm okay with the phone pocket - kind of a pain to get my phone in and out of but keeps it from bouncing around and close to my body. However, they dumb little key thing is pointless - just put a freaking pocket in the shorts for your keys. Please. Then these are 5 star all day.

Love the lining, but wish it had simpler and easier pockets like the Lululemon men's shorts

Waist band is wierd, not much spandex, just a drawstring. Feel like they are floating and not as much support in boxer briefs as I am used. Hopefully I will get used to the difference. Size M, 31 waist.

Runs big, buy a size down. Material is light and comfortable, but even tying it as tight as I can, it still feels baggy and loose

The new version is okay. The pocket configuration is less desirable than the previous versions, and while the high waistband is nice, it looks a bit odd. The colors and patterns are definitely worse than prior versions. Those who haven't tried Sherpa 2-in-1 shorts will probably like them. Those in love with the older versions will be disappointed.
