Good soft flexible texture. Nice air flow through inner liner, but could be better. Also, inside string needs redesign.

Shorts didn?t work for me. Pockets were great, but the liner didn?t feel great. Main issue for me was the drawstring/waistband. Drawstring had no elasticity, so it was tough to get the shorts tight enough not to have my phone bounce in the back pocket.

I carry repellent spray on one of my runs as a defense against a dog that comes after me occasionally. I purchased these because they had a deep pocket to carry the spray. I ran with these for the first time this morning and they were too warm for comfort with temps only in the mid 50?s. The liners were tight against my thighs they may have felt cooler if they were loose. I could not run in these in the summer. I weigh 150 lb and purchased a medium the size felt fine otherwise. The fabric was supple and no chafing issues but will only be able to use in cool weather.

It fits perfectly, is comfortable, and I like the pockets. I don't worry that my driver's license or car key will fall out.

I have worn Brooks Sherpa for over a decade and the more recent redesign is completely different from the original shorts. The waistband is about twice as thick and constantly rides up while you're running, and the shorts themselves are much looser than they used to be. The originals are a 10 out of 10 for me, but I can't recommend the newer design of these shorts.

Like the undershorts but waist strap doesn't feel strong enough to carry any items of significance in pockets. Side 35 waist, typically a size large but these felt loose and waist strap was weak.

I have worn the Sherpa for a long time now, but the liners in these started ripping after 4 or 5 runs. The hole gets bigger with each run until it gets to the point where your business is falling out to make them unwearable.

Ordered a medium since I typically wear a size 33?. The inner liner for these was tight but manageable. 8 months later, the seam in the inner liner is ripping along the crotch. Disappointed as other shorts I?ve bought in the past lasted me years and I consider myself a casual runner

Cheaper design than the sherpas I bought 3 months ago. Different fabric weight, zipper pulls were missing the rubber, and the overall feel is just different than my other pairs. Hope they go back to the old design. They do function, they just don't feel as nice as my 2 other pairs.

New Sherpa 2 in 1 boxer brief liner has an extra stich which causes the middle croth area of he liner to bunch up and cause friction/chaffing/discomfort ( as seen in grey shorts in photo below ). Previous version had a seamfree liner that was comfortable and breathable ( as seen in black shorts in picture below). Not sure how product development thought this was an improvement.

Got this as a Father's Day gift for my husband, who was looking specifically for a pair of running shorts that would hold his iPhone and had the support shorts under the running shorts. Unfortunately, the zippered pocket does not hold his iPhone 11--bummer! Everything else was very nice about the shorts, but the ONE thing we were looking for missed the mark. Too bad, had to return them.

I own previous versions of the 7" Sherpa shorts and love them for long runs. The new version is a good attempt but tends to ride up my legs during my runs. Love the new storagedon't love the way they feel during my runs. Won't buy these again.

The liner was loose and bunched up. Not a comfortable feel or run with these shorts. Will definitely return to traditional shorts or try another brand.

Because of the bulky seams in the liner after about an hour or two the inner thigh and general butt area is rubbed raw. I would give three stars for the fit and pockets if the phone pocket wasn't sewn into the lining which I have since removed.
Ps, the lighter color shows every drop of moisture leading to embarrassing sweat marks

Terrible pockets. No elastic in waist band. Very dissatisfied. I will probably return them.

They are definitely not designed for bigger people. The pocket does not fit my phone and I would not have ordered had I known there were not full pockets on both sides. I am trying to return them.

I opened the box, put the shorts on, and found a huge hole in the zippered pocket. Left the tag on 'em and put on some different shorts for my run. Real disappointed with the Quality Control in this instance.

OK--I have worn the Brook's Cascadia 2 in 1 for years--it was my go to trail and long run shorts. It look's like with the Sherpa redesign--Brooks are condensing their product line. Unfortunately, the Sherpa is a POOR replacement for the Cascadia's. What made Cascadia great shorts were the wide elastic waist band and the boxer liners that were not compression. Sherpa's appear to have added these features, However...Number one complaint! Sherpas have a higher rise then the Cascadia--these shorts slide down to my hip bones when running and with the excess fabric--make for too much loose fabric in the junk drawer, major chaffing on any run over 5 miles. It is winter now--cannot image what would happen in the junk drawer once the heat and humidity of a NC summer returns. I also do not care for the zippered pock through the outer layer attached to the inner layer--any thing in the pocket makes it feel like I have snagged the shorts on something--better if they were independent and not sewn together. Overall, I am not one to use pockets much, but the water resistant pocket on the Cascadias was nice, allowed me to store my car key fob with out having to added a plastic bag for moisture protection--miss that feature. I am sure if you were a previous Sherpa fan, these are great. Unfortunately, mine will be used for lounging around the house or mowing the lawn--not for running. I can only hope that Brook's decide to bring back the Cascadias before all my existing pairs fall apart, or I'll need to find a new brand of go to shorts for the trail.
