I purchased this lid a few months ago, however I was extremely disappointed with its quality. The lid leaks very often and the plastic on the mouth piece peels and flakes. This overall lid is quite disappointing and I wish there was rubber to protect the mouth piece. I would not buy again.

When you flip open the top to drink water come spurting out into your face! I have to open it pointing away from me but it gets all over everything else. Not happy

I had this for less than 2 weeks before the seal on the straw wouldn't seal all the way, and I couldn't suck any water through it. This lid is really disappointing, I expected way better quality from Hydro Flask.

Whatever you do don't hold the bottle by the lid loop!!!!!!!!!! On 3 separate occasions I was walking to my desk with my bottle newly filled at the water cooler and the cap came apart from the water bottle. The cap that comes with the bottle doesn't do this no matter how filled the flask is so I know it's not me not screwing the cap on properly. Good thing I only had water in it! So embarrassing since it was a 32oz bottle! If you're not supposed to carry it by the finger loop on the lid then why is there one? Also I've had to replace my hydroflask 3 times as it starts to rust, and I've only ever had water in it.

I have a 21oz hydro flask with sports cap and love it, but it wasn't enough water for when I went on longer hikes. So I bought the adventure bundle (2 flasks, 4 lids) for my boyfriend and I. Both of our lids "sweat" (beading of water droplets on top) and our drinks DO NOT stay cold for 24 hours as promised by Hydroflask. Extremely disappointed due to the amount of advertising hydro flask does to ensure their product's quality.

After reading some reviews, it looks like there is a manufacturing problem. The nozzle does not sit in the open position properly and I am getting nothing but air when I drink. I love the bottle and have submitted a warranty claim, hopefully this falls under the protection, because the straw lid is currently useless the second it came out of the package.

This is the second lid I buy thinking the first one I purchased was a faulty. Well after 2 days, the second lid was doing the same thing. Air gets in it and you can't get a proper flow up the straw. Not to mention the noice is makes. Very disappointed for the price I paid for the bottle and then having to buy a separate lid...twice.

I bought this yesterday. Used it immediately. It worked for about 2 hours, then it stopped working-air gets in somehow and liquid can not be sucked up through straw. I've cleaned it, adjusted it, everything I can think of, but all I get when I suck on it is a whistle and mostly air.

Chose the 32 oz hydro flask over another competitors options and bought this straw set when I got my 32 oz and was extremely excited, tried it and all I get is air and tiny slurps of water. Not worth it at all! I was planning on buying a smaller bottle and the straw for my 2 year old since she loves being like mommy, I won't be doing that now. Biggest waste of money yet!

The new style does not work properly. It does not provide a tight seal once you open the mouth peace. It allows air to pass between the mouth peace and the seal, preventing the drink being pulled up the straw. I have tested a couple of them and they all have the same issue. It is a manufacturing defect with the newer (all black) lids. Test by placing your finger over the straw port and sucking on the mouth peace. If you hear air sucking don't buy. The older ones with the soft gray rubber worked great, but I guess the newer ones were cheeper to manufacture.

I have the 64oz hydroflask, and purchased the straw lid to make drinking from it easier. First straw lid worked great for about a week. After that, it began intermittently sucking air, and after a week of that, it only sucked air. I contacted the warranty department and they sent a replacement. I washed that cap, and put it back on, only to have the same issue right out of the box. I have contacted the warranty department again, and am hopeful that the issue can be resolved.

Got a replacement lid and the straws suck!!! They seem to be thinner and do not stay attached to the lid. The new design is better since the rubber sipper has been removed

I have purchased and replace my straw lid four times and have yet to get one that works. I wanted the straw for my 40oz HF for the car so I wouldn't have to lift it to drink, plus it's really big to lift. I'm not a happy camper.

There is something wrong with the straw- every time I drink from it it makes a terrible noise and I get lots of air. I even got some more straws thinking that they were cut at the wrong length, but I think it is some design malfunction.. it happens to my friends straw top too. The old one worked much better, but this one is annoying and inconvenient, it is impossible to get a full drink of water.

The new straw lids do not keep suction at all. I have been a customer for 8 years and have never been unhappy with a product until now. Please fix this problem

I see in the other reviews your company advised that you removed the defective lid/straws. I am hoping you will replace this lid/straw again. If the issue with too much air getting into the straw continues I will stop using this bottle and will not recommend it.

From day one we haven't been able to use this lid. It's like you're sucking air through the straw and get no water.

Just bought this and as soon as I used it the straw sucked air, not the water in the bottle, I love my hydroflask but the faulty lid makes it hard to use and frustrating

I bought an original straw lid (gray and black with rubber mouth piece) and was so pleased. I then replaced it with the newer all back hard plastic version and feel like there is no suction, plus the slurpy noise it makes when sipping is not "work friendly". I'm a nurse and use this daily.

I LOVE the Hydro Flask. But, the Wide Mouth Straw Lid leaks terribly. If you have a full flask and you tip it toward you enough to sip though the mouthpiece, it will leak a lot between the flask and the bottom of the lid. You can only use the mouth straw lid, if your flask is at an upright stance, to avaid leaking. :(

right out of the package it doesn't work. can't get a suction due to something faulty in the lip portion. My girlfriend has a similar problem with hers but she can still get work when fiddling with the angle of the spout. I thought maybe her's was just getting old and worn out, but mine didn't work on the first use.

I bought 2 replacement straw lids. One for my 32 oz Hydro Flask and one for my Husband's 40 oz Hydro Flask and both lids do not work. You try to take a drink and all you seem to get is air. We thought maybe we didn't have straw on correctly but everything seems good. Causing us not to be able to drink out of the straw and having to take the lid of to take a drink of our water bottle that has a straw lid. Very frustrating as the replacement lids aren't all that cheap to replace.

Purchased the top at the same time that I purchased my Hydroflask about 2 years ago. Thought it was the best thing. Now, the rubber piece on my lid has been cracking for a little more than a year Please remember, that this is not the same product that Hydroflask has on their site now. I will probably go out and purchase this one.
