I have bought a handful of these and had to have every one warranty replaced. No matter what you do they will leak.

I am on my third straw lid. It works great at the beginning. But after a few washes (I use a light wipe of the sponge), there is a little rubber/soft plastic piece that goes in a small hole in the lid that prevents it from leaking. That little piece has come off 3 times now for me. Once I was able to find it, but it came off again, and it is so small, I can't find it. So now I have 3 straw lids with no little rubber inserts, so I can't use my straw lid without it leaking. Very frustrating. I love the tumbler part! It's just the lid I don't like.

I bought two kids bottles which included these lids when they were first introduced - two years ago. First, having an exposed drinking tube for a kids bottle is kind of a huge design flaw IMO. Most parents try to avoid en excessive exposure to germs/dirt for their kids. The way the tube is exposed to the elements is a magnet for dirt, sand, etc while out and about at the playground, beach, trail or wherever your adventures take you. Second, you can try this for yourself. Fill you bottle with water. Close the drink tube. And let it sit on your counter for a few days. Or until the outside air pressure changes. It will force water up and out of the lid around the drink tube. A word of advice, from my own experience... make sure if you bring your bottle on an airplane (and fill it up post security) to leave the drink tube in the open position or you will have water/liquid everywhere once your in flight and experience cabin pressure changes..

This straw makes a terrible suction noise when I drink from it and it's very embarrassing at meetings or around others. My wife has the old straw with the grey rubber, and it seems like Hydro Flask just decided to make a cheaper and lower quality version with the "update".

I purchased a hydro flask 6 days ago, paid for 2 day shipping, and just received the hydro flask. I called and spoke with customer service and they stated they were with in the two day guidelines of shipping and would not refund the the $12 for two day shipping. Disappointed in the customer service and the lack of timeliness with the order.

I bought the 32 oz wide mouth and got this straw top and it practically dumps water out of the top if i lay it on its side which i have to do in my car because it's too big for cup holders.

It is convenient to just pop open instead of having to twist open all of the time (especially at the gym). But it leaks ALL OF THE TIME. I lose so much water they need to make one that works.

I love having my hydro flask but the straws are absolutely the worst quality ever. I have friends with the older version of the straw lid and it was better then the new one? Wish you guys would update to a leak proof straw itself of this .

I have been using the flask for about 5 years but the Wide mouth straw lid was always a problem. I'd been keep losing the round gray plastic inside the grove where the mouth straw is folding for many times when I was washing the lid and since the day the ring is nowhere to find, I have to keep the flask upright specially inside the car otherwise the whole passenger sit, where I place the flask, gets soaked in water. The flask itself is perfectly fine keeping the water cool for the whole day but the lid is not well made and makes the product complicated to use.

I bought this in Jan 2018 and while I love my Hydro Flask the straw lid not so much. It worked fine the first several months but suddenly it started pooling water in the lid. I have no idea why but it is quite annoying when driving and I spill water all over myself.

Bought the hydro flask specifically for the wide mouth straw feature and it just doesn't work!

I assumed, with how durable the flask is, that the lid would stand up as well. Not so. Dropped it once and the lid shattered.

I love the convenience of the flip up straw however the insulation of my bottle went from being perfect to nonexistent once I started using this lid. I feel like I wasted my money buying this lid.

It's fine and works as expected, except for maybe requiring a little more suction to draw water than I'd like. The bad part is that the spout is made of the same plastic as the rest. Since this spout is quite a bit larger than a straw for example, it ends up hitting your teeth whether you bite it or not. This gets it all nicked up and feeling rough after moderate use. Seems like a no brainer to make this portion out of rubber. I realize the single material structure is better as far as cleanliness but it's not pleasant to drink from as is.

I bought the straw top because I love my old one and it needed replacing but the new ones suck! I got zero water when trying to drink from it, just air and an annoying bubbling noise. I tried taking off the straw and flipping/pressing the rubber ring but it did nothing. Very disappointing

The new straws are awful. Please bring back the old/original ones. I miss the soft tip and the easy flow. I've bought three new straws and every one of them is terrible. I've got to cover the vent hole to get liquid. Come on guys... you can do better than this.

I bought the straw lid because it was easier to drink out of than having to take the lid off every time. However, the straw comes off all the time and more times than not I'm either getting a mouth full of air or I am not able to get any water at all.

We have used Hydroflask bottles since the company started. Love the bottles. When the straw lids first came out, we got some - and also loved them. Now the new lids no longer have the rubber on the portion you put your mouth on. Feels cheap. Makes it uncomfortable. And the new one leaks! Ruins kids homework, gets books wet, etc. Total bummer - especially due to what you charge for your products. Please go back to the old design. Or improve on what you currently have.
