This lid leaks everywhere when I put my backpack down. I'm always scared that it will damage my laptop. Don't recommend

The lid does work, but it takes me so much force to move the straw part. I feel like I am going to break it off.

Bought this for the wide mouth 40oz bottle. The fit is poor, may take several tries to get the lid to screw on properly. Biggest problem is it leaks rendering it useless. If the bottle is sitting sideways in my gym bag, water seeps out of top of lid all over the bag. Since it leaks I use the stock lid to transport the bottle, then change to the straw lid when working out.

I ordered a lid for my daughter, as well as myself. Both leak. No matter how we try and get the lid on, there is always a small amount of liquid that leaks out. It's very frustrating. If the bottle tips over at all, the liquid spills out

I like to add ice to my water and therefore the straw keeps me from getting splashed/hit in the face every time I go to take a drink, but the problem is the straw cracks at the spout and won't stay on correctly. I have gone through about 10 straws in the last year. When it cracks at one end, I flip it over and connect at the other end. So, that means I have had 20 cracks at least. Extremely disappointing.

I bought this lid a couple months ago and I have to say I was extremely happy with it... until this morning. You would think that a company as large as hydro flask, and as popular as hydro flask, could make a lid that is dishwasher safe. Well you guessed it, they can't. Save yourself the money and time and get a third party lid.

Difficult to tighten the lid. Wish the straws came already fit for the size of the water bottle instead of having to cut them myself.

The aftermarket lids function much better and cost less. This is the second one I bought and they both leak badly. If they ever tump over, prepare to have a giant mess to clean up.

I bought this around a week ago and the lid doesn't seem to fit correctly and the small plastic ring popped out and now the lid no longer screws on.

This lid design is terrible. I've purchased 5+ replacement lids and the same thing keeps happening. The little rubber seal keeps falling off causing the water bottle to leak all over when the straw lid is closed.

I've had this water bottle for 3 years now. I've had this lid for three years now. It has ALWAYS leaked. It has ruined a lot of things. Don't buy this lid if you want to be able to store it in a backpack or messenger bag side pocket. It cannot be in any position but upright most of the time or it will leak.

This is great for my 64oz growler size! Makes drinking water while driving or doing other tasks much easier. BUT over the last couple of month it's been leaking everywhere. Even when sitting straight up the pressure builds up inside and starts spilling out the top of the lid and down the sides. Not sure if this is a common problem with this product or a faulty straw lid. Either way pretty annoying to constantly be cleaning up water. The only way I've noticed it not doing this if is I leave the straw open. Which in turn doesn't keep my water as cold and would still spill everywhere if not stored upright.

My bottle is only 3yrs old and I needed a new straw lid. The new one doesn't fit properly. It doesn't screw down to the base of the opening and leaks water. My old lid never leaked.

I just bought a this new one last week, replacing one I had for several years. I have found that it is extremely difficult to suck from the straw. I'm not sure if the "burp" hole is big enough, and I'm not confident altering it would give a good result. Bummer because my older one was awesome from the start. It has been obviously remodeled as the coloring on the stem used to be gray.

Slightly disappointed. My husband bought us 2 64oz wide mouth growers for Christmas, it was the only option in stock (covid). We were both hoping to purchace straws as they are to big and heavy to drink water out of while driving. Will you guys ever make a cap with a straw for the Growlers?

Purchase this lid to replace my daughters widemouth lids so she stops feeling water. Followed in all the instructions to cut the straw and this thing leaks horribly I don't know how many times you end up with water all over floorboard or on the floor because it might get tipped over

I have the original straw lid that was gray and black then I purchased this one. The feel is so different and rough compared to the original. The suction on the new one is also different. Wish they went back to the original model that was much better quality.

It's just disappointing I have to buy an entire new lid and straw just because I lost the little rubber stopper under the mouthpiece while cleaning.

While hand washing the gray plug that keeps it from leaking fell out and went down the drain. This thing claims to be dishwasher safe, there's no way that plug would stay in place in a dishwasher if it falls out hand washing.

I love the concept but Anytime my bottle tips over I am guaranteed to find a small puddle or wet spot.

The little rubber stopper keeps falling off and getting lost. There is no way to replace it without buying a whole new lid and straw package.
