So the mug looks sharp, that's for sure. To get the effect of keeping things hot for longer, you HAVE TO KEEP THE LID ON, otherwise the vacuum insulation is not going to have the opportunity to do what it does best.... all the heat will escape the top without the lid. I had no idea though that this thing has a rubberized coating on it. If you look at the product description, they try to tell you it has an extra "thing" going on with it, but it's not clear that the extra thing is a plastic coating around it. I figured this would be a good metal cup to keep next to the campfire when I went out, but it 100% would melt. If you're a using it for the house, cool. If you're planning on taking it outside the home, you're Better off just getting a rocks glass style cup and wearing a glove around the morning fire pit.

I like the product but would prefer if it came in a larger size and if it had a close able lid option

I'm a slow coffee drinker and thought this will be perfect for my morning coffee that's usually cold less than an hour in my ceramic coffee mug. Tested with and without the lid on. Without the lid, it only keeps my coffee warm a tiny bit longer than my regular ceramic mug. But with the lid on, my coffee is still hot/warm after 4 hours!! It's a great size for a cup of coffee and I love the texture of it. And definitely appreciate that I can still enjoy my coffee after 4 hours. However, it's not like their other regular cup that's completed sealed between the stainless steel part and the rubber part on the outside. I do notice that my coffee stain does trap in that gap if I drink it without the lid.... just this one complain and hope it can be fixed in the future.

I received this 12 oz mug for Christmas and was disappointed to find that the lid seal leaks. It makes the mug act like a dribble cup.

Used my Rock Glass for the first time tonight. It definitely kept my beverage colder but the lid leaked like crazy. I thought I was drinking out of a dribble glass. Eventually I took the lid off because I was spilling on my Seahawks jersey. When I got home I tested the other items I purchased with the same style lid. All leaked to some degree. Apparently they need to fix this flaw. Other than that I am happy with the product and hope they do a redesign.

I have other hydro flask products and I really though this would be as good as the others. This cup does not keep your drink hot for very long. I was really disappointed in this sub par item from hydro flask.

Instead of the boring colours you presently offer!!!

I bought this mug a few weeks ago after buying another item and LOVING it. I couldn't wait for it to arrive. The thought of having my coffee stay hot! Unfortunately, it does not preform as I had hoped - my coffee get as cool as it does in my normal coffee cup. Very disappointed. Perhaps it will keep something cool.

I was so excited to get this mug but it ended up not meeting my expectations. I bought the 12oz and the handle is way small. I'm an adult girl and have slim hands/fingers and the handle is too small and uncomfortable to hold. Secondly it doesn't fit in my SUV's cup holder which I want a coffee mug that I can take in the car with me so its a bummer it doesn't fit. It needs a smaller base. For those reasons I got rid of the mug.

I received this mug as a Christmas gift and it is really cute. But, I don't like my cup melting because they made a hot cup (and cold ik) not microwave safe. I am very upset with this incident and I wish they wold have thought about this problem occurring.

I have several of these with the old lid that doesn't slide. I just got the new version for Christmas and the new lid doesn't keep my coffee hot for very long. Instead of the usual hour I could go before reheating my drink, I found it getting like warm after 30 min, and that was even with the slider only partially open. Please sell the old lid as an option to buy separately!!

I've had this cup for a good 6 mos. It was disappointing to find that it does not do a good job at keeping my drinks hot- or warm even. 30 mins later and my coffee is cold. I can't even reheat it in the microwave in this cup!

The cup is fine, but I hate the handle. The rounded handle is soooo uncomfortable to hold the cup, especially when it's full. You can only fit 2 fingers into it reasonably, so there is a lot of strain on those fingers. It doesn't feel right to hold, even when the cup is empty, and it isn't comfortable at all when the cup is full. I like the squared-off handle on the largest cup, but would rather have a smaller cup.

Very disappointed. I've been using hydroflask for years. I have a variety of sizes and love them. They are all great and keep my water (and ice) very cold for hours. I thought I would try the coffee mug. I got the 12 oz mug. I think the 12 oz is an ok size (24 oz seems to big), but I think a 16 oz would be better (if they made it). Not big deal. The problem is my coffee got cold very quickly. I was expecting my coffee to stay hot/warm for at least 6 hours. 3 hours is about as long as coffee stayed warm. Not great.

Disappointed in performance of keeping hot liquids "hot for hours". The push in lid has a big hole for sipping, and does not seal, fyi. My piping hot coffee stays hot for about 15 minutes.. It basically performs like a general coffee cup without a lid, so not worth the price. The handle moves when you pick it up, so I thought it was broken at first and felt janky. I have several water bottles and really love Hydroflask. Just disappointed in this product's marketed performance, and actual performance once I got it.

I purchased this mug about two weeks ago from a local dealer and have used it daily since I got it. I like the idea of this mug compared to the tumbler-style mugs because I like to smell my drink as I sip. However, I have a similar experience compared to another reviewer in that my coffee/tea barely stays hot for 30-45 minutes. I have to drink my coffee almost as fast as if I were to use a ceramic mug. Most days I'm finishing the last 1/4 of my my morning brew and it's cold within an hour. I have even tried "pre-heating" the mug with some very hot/boiling water, and it still doesn't seem to keep my drink hot for very long. I am not nearly as impressed as I was hoping to be with this mug. Also, I'm not sure if this is supposed to happen, but when I try to pull off the black lid while holding the handle, the plastic outer shell begins to pull away from the metal inner part of the mug.

I religiously use Hydro Flasks everywhere I go and have a huge collection. I thought this would be great to keep my tea and coffee hot. It barely keeps the liquid's temperature for 30-60 minutes. The lid that comes with it has a large opening that defeats the purpose completely. Very disappointed.

The quality and feel is all Hydro Flask, Great! BUT I wish this was a larger mug. Don't know what I was thinking...should have known better...12 oz is way too small for a travel mug. It's tea cup size brewing, if you are going to add cream to your coffee. Also, the handle does not seem to be permanently attached to the mug...weird. It feels like the "outer coating" is what is holding it on. Let's just say there is a strange "flex" to the way the handle is attached to the mug...not a wiggle..just a flex.

Bought as a gift for my wife. She loves the mug. However, the lid is so terrible. The liquid leaked even at the first use.

I heard great things about this brand, so i got one for myself. I don't like the lid design where there's a tiny hole when i close it cause it spills my coffee all over my car and my clothes.

I purchased the light blue cup. My coffee dripped onto the exterior of the cup. I haven't been able to remove the coffee stain from the exterior.

I've carefully hand washed this mug for the last 1.5 years ago but despite being careful, it has deteriorated. The outside plastic part has cracked and let water and soap it between the outer plastic and the stainless steel causing the stainless to rust. I'm very disappointed about the longevity and quality of this mug.

I bought this cup and by the second day of use the silicone by the handle is pulling off the cup. Talked to customer service about it said it is "normal." That is fine if it is but I am here to tell you I have a Yeti coffee mug that does not do that and it has a clear lid, my opinion far superior product, for the same price point. This was not my first Hydro product but it was my last.

I received the mug as a gift and after 2 hours my coffee is lukewarm. I'm so disappointed !
