Works fine, but after cleaning it, reassembly is a time consuming, frustrating task that requires force beyond my strength. Next step, channel lock pliers! I'm hoping this review will get the attention of and assistance from the company.

I bought this lid a month ago to replace there old flip lock style which worked great. This model not so much. The idea is sound but it started leaking on me after couple of weeks. now after a month it leaks from both spout and the air intake as well as has trouble screwing onto the bottle so can leak out of there if you're not extra careful. I do not recommend. I also have friends that have had the same issues.

I liked the old lid - which I dropped and it cracked. I ordered this because it's the closest option. It's ridiculous. Opening it is a hassle. The handle is in the way most of the time. Please bring back the old lid.

I've always enjoyed my flip cap lid and thought this slip cap would be better. I was wrong. I can't just one hand my Mocha anymore and if you over twist the lid comes apart. Whatever happened to right tight - left loose? I have to turn right to open, left to close and to disassemble. Also takes more time and effort to clean because a good rinsing isn't enough. Missing the older style.

Bought 2 of these hoping it would be wonderful all day at school. Both tops leak where the gasket is after the first washing. Nothing like smelling like coffee all day when it leaks when you try to drink.

If I used this for anything except water, I'd have a lot of stained shirts. Nearly every time I drink from this lid it will leak a few drops from the base of the lid. I've disassembled/reassembled it multiple times to make sure everything is put together, but it still leaks after a few sips. I would have reached out to customer support, but the warranty page asks you to find the product from a list and shows every single color combination sku and the search doesn't work. So I'm posting this here instead.

1. You have to put your hands and fingers all over the part where you put your mouth. In COVID times I feel gross twisting this open and taking a sip. 2. It is not righty tight lefty loosey! Why is this the reverse of every other threaded object like a bottle top? I pretty much turn it the wrong way every single time.

This lid is bulky and super difficult to take apart and clean. There has to be a better option. I love, love, love, HYDROFLASK. I have been using the bottles and coffee containers for years. However this idea for a coffee container is not easy to use.

I bought this about a year ago. My daughter purchased the regular lid and I purchased this lid. I can honestly say this lid has given me a headache. The first time I used it of course ...I used coffee. Long story short .. I can't get out the odor of the vanilla creamer. I YouTubed videos about it and nothing works. I've taken it apart and soaked the lid and used every remedy out there and nothing works. I was on here because I was just gonna buy another lid and not use creamer anymore. But is this gonna happen again?

This was a gift from my daughter. I have been loving my former hydro flasks - I must have ten of them! Especially my old flip lid. I miss my old flip lid, so easy to use, drink from, and clean... I did have issues with the venting hole, but still super easy to manage. This "new" one has too many issues!!! Too many moving parts! I have to disassemble it several times to get the openings to line up just so... just so I can actually drink from it. I'm not sure why you needed a new design?! Now I'm in market for another brand that doesn't require an engineering degree to use!

I rec'd this as a gift and despite watching the you tube video multiple times and following the instructions to the letter, I still can't easily and quickly, on first try, take it apart or put it back together. Aarghh!

This is a terrible lid..very hard to clean. It's a real hassle taking this apart then trying to get it back together. I like to use a straw with my coffee and that isn't possible with this lid. It may be leak proof..haven't tried it, as I'm retired and drink my coffee at home. I am glad that I bought several of the old flip lids a few years ago, which work perfectly with a straw. How difficult it is to make a lid that works?

I absolutely hate this new lid. It's cumbersome with to many parts to take apart and clean. The old flip top lid was simple, easy use and clean. This new lid has so many groves and crevices daily cleaning is a chore. For a person with arthritis it's a terrible design.

I have been a huge fan of Hydro Flask for years. I have bought many styles and sizes and always had a great experience. Unfortunately this lid is abominable. First of all it's clunky and not easy to drink through. Second it leaks like a screen door on a submarine. Yeah It's leakproof until the lid happens to accidentally open and then the entire contents of your delicious beverage pours into the bottom of your bag if the container isn't upright. There is so little friction to keep it closed that any bump or nudge causes the lid to rotate open hence allowing the beverage to leak. It has happened a few times now and has left a bad taste in my mouth. I would have expected better from such a great company. Extremely disappointed with this purchase.

I bought this about 6 months ago and was thrilled at first. It helped keep hot things hot and cold things cold, didn't spill and was easy to transport. I use it frequently so I take it apart and clean it about once a week. Today, after 6 months of use and ensuring I reassembled all of the cap pieces correctly, I went to take a sip of hot coffee and it came pouring out between the two plastic pieces of the cap, even with the rubber gasket correctly in place. Not worth the money if it doesn't work for even 6 months with frequent use and washing.

I washed the item first and made sure to follow the directions on how to break it down. I go to use it with water and I found that it is leaking at the seam. I really like the design of how it goes together but the leaking is a deal breaker. It isn't really worth returning it or getting a replacement as it would cost almost as much as the item to ship back. I do recommend their bottles though, they are great at keeping hot things hot and cold things cold but this lid needs to be worked on.

Might be great for sipping coffee but not great for guzzling water. Doesn't allow enough air in to get the water out quickly enough. Stick with the hydro flask straw cover instead.

I was super excited when I saw there was a newly designed lid that I could replace my banged up flip lid for my wide mouth HF. Unfortunately I was disappointed to find out this lid leaks when it is closed. I'll have to go bak to the flip lid.

Purchased this lid for my 24 oz Hydroflask and loved it until it started leaking. All 4 pieces appear intact and are put together correctly, but I can pour water (or hot coffee) between the part that attaches to the bottle and twist to close/sip top. So disappointed and not sure how to fix it.
