Long time Hydro Flask user here. This lid just plain doesn't work, at all. Nothing comes out, and I've checked to make sure it is in fact open. There are multiple layers to it, maybe I'm missing something? But it's a lid it should be pretty simple to use I would think.

This lid leaked from the moment I bought it. I now have coffee stains all over my backpack and on some of my clothes. Completely infuriating. The primary reason I bought a hydroflask was that I believed their hype that it wouldn't leak--but it has never worked. I have tried filling out the warranty form, but the system is almost unworkable. It will not find the sku that is on my receipt, so I can't use that method of requesting. I try to search for "flex sip," and that returns over 1000 results. I tried to sift through them, but could not find the product I bought--you know, the lid itself. The system simply will not allow me to request a warranty. This has been a disappointing purchase and a frustrating process to try to replace the faulty product. Too bad. I really wanted to love this purchase.

Find that it leaks from the area btn the screw top and the sip top. when I open the sip top the inner area with the red seal is wet with coffee/tea. Essentially a dribble cup. Have bought a full closure screw lid, but disappointed, bc it then fails to be a "travel mug". Love the bottom mug part and the handle on the lid is great for carrying when my hands are full.

They claim this lid won't leakhowever I've been using mine for a few weeks now and water has started dripping out from the middle turning gap and onto me while I'm drinking. I've taken it apart and confirmed the sealing ring is in place fine, but still having problems. Hoping it's just a fluke.

I loved the old style of lid, you could throw the canteen in your bag without risking it spilling everywhere, it was the holy grail of camp canteens! This new design leaks without fail, no matter how tight you make it, you might as well use something you don't have to open like a tumbler. I hope they bring back the old style, until then I'm looking for a new brand.

I had this lid for 3 months and it leaks every time I pick it up to drink.

It leaks whatever liquid is inside. Great for drinking what's left inside.

I purchased this hydro flask because I love my hydro flask water bottle and truly believe that they are the best water bottles. While my coffee stays hot/cold, the lid causes my coffee to spill out of the seam every time I take a sip! All my clothes are covered with coffee stains!! I would recommend the bottle but get another lid, unless you want to scrub out coffee stains every day.

Bought my first hydroflask for a river trip as we headed out. Thought the flex sip would be easier than the straw version it came with. Sorry to say the flex sip lid leaked first time out. I've worked with customer service and a new one is coming to me...we'll see if it's any better.

My lid leaks through the side every time I take a drink.

I'd like to begin by saying I love just about everything hydro flask. However this lid is by far NOT my favorite. I leaks so much. It is very inconvenient since I have to carry it all the time rather than just put it in my water bottle holder in my backpack. All of my books got wet.

The hole at the top either leaks constantly, or you can't get it open because the hot coffee has auctioned it close. You then have to unscrew it to try to release the suction, then the 3 pieces come apart so you're stuck putting a puzzle together before you can even take a sip of coffee. If you manage to out it together the hole at the top is leaky again so it needs to be kept upright at all times. Horrible design.

Do not waste your money if your flask will ever be on its side. It isn't obvious when the lid is closed completely and the parts do not stay attached. Buy the straw lid.

This is ok if you just keep the bottle upright and handle it as if it had no lid, but if it's tilted at an angle, the coffee that's trapped between the red inner gasket and the outer plastic later will leak out! It's only about a teaspoon of liquid, but that's enough to ruin your outfit or leak all over your laptop ect. Annoyed that they don't sell a 20oz plain screw lid as a replacement. Now I have to throw out my 20oz coffee mug and go to another brand.

Worst lid ever. Leaks a lot...hard to clean and too many parts.

We purchased three sipper tops and they leak even when in the closed position.

I purchased this Flex Lid to replace my flip lid. I am very disappointed. It takes two hands to open it - which isn't a good idea when driving. Can't get very much liquid out at one time - I do not sip my water, I like good drink. And it leaked the first time I used it. I had planned on getting these for my niece and nephew, but nope. PLEASE bring back the flip lid. I loved mine. I'm now using the straw lid, but I'm not a straw person, so am not thrilled. Also, cleaning it is a pain.

I've had this lid for about 3 months now and it constantly leaks. The problem is not the gasket, but it's very difficult to close and to tell when it's 100% closed. It doesn't have a 'snap' like other bottles. The actual hydro flask is great but thanks to a lack of decent lids, going back to my yeti

I love Hydroflask and i have a few of them and would never buy a different bottle again. HOWEVER, I hate spilling all over myself with just the regular lid. So I got this one and I might as well just drink straight out of the bottle. ITS TERRIBLE! it leaks everywhere. Super Super disapointed

I love the the flask itself as it is good it's just theWide Mouth Flex Sip Lid I wouldn't recommend. I brought this new lid thinking it'll be an improvement on the old flip lid one I had on my Hydro Flask for coffee. Unfortunately this lid it very heavy, heavier than the flip lid and more fiddly to clean. Also you need two hands to open the cup with this lid on, with the flip lid you can do it with one, handy if you are carrying something or using it on your bike and cycling at the same time. The extra weight with liquid in the cup is not good if you want to keep your backpack weight down. I used it a few times and reverted back to the reliable flip lid and will be buying another flip lid if I can find one though my first one is still good atm, no full on leaks just the annoying post drink dribble but still worth it for its weight and one handed convenience!

I bought this with my 20 oz coffee flex sip cup. I liked it in the beginning, after opening a couple times to wash I think it started to deteriorate and not seal well.. now all liquids spill on the sides. I hate it. Can't use it anymore due to this. I wish they brought back the flip and seal one which I like very much. Too bad it broke when I dropped it once.

I have not been gifted or sponsored on this product. I have been a long time user of Hydro Flask products. This lid requires too much involvement. You need to take it apart wash each piece, have small brush cleaners on hand, to ensure it is properly cleaned. Then. try to put it together. Each time, I have to come back to this site to try and get the lid precisely right via the video. Not only this, if there is a little bit of liquid left in the reservoir of the lid it leaks out the air hole. Just not really happy with this lid. I am not not sure why it is difficult to come up with a sip lid that is easy. Is it patent problem?

Ordered this lid to replace the old style lid on my 16oz coffee tumbler and it leaks just like the old one.

The lid leaks and it's a big bummer. Even after taking the lid apart and cleaning and drying all the pieces, the lid will start to drip after a few sips. My co-workers are fed up with me spilling everywhere and have demanded I get a new one. The problem? Everything I've tried so far leaks at some point :(

I want to love this kid but it absolutely leaks and I found out the hard way.
