I wish they would bring the fliptop lid back. This lid has four pieces and if you don't set it just right, will leak and spilled coffee all over. It's very difficult to get all four pieces together correctly

I had hoped this would be just right for I not found of straws. But it looks like that is what I am going to have to try. I hate the way it just keeps leaking and I can not get it closed tight enough to prevent it.

Bought this for my boyfriend as a gift. We are both disappointed, it leaks terribly. Seems to be an overcomplicated non functional design. We finally figured out the round clear gasket seal under the top seems to be the culprit. The seal never stays in place and when it comes loose, everything leaks out the middle. Not great constantly spilling hot coffee all over. I have the old flip lid on my hydro for coffee use. It had worked great for a couple years and now also leaks (due to the 2 little rubber plugs inside the flip disintegrating over time with hot liquid). On top of that, my wide mouth hydro with straw lid was leaking water constantly, so I ordered a new one, and it also is leaking (water pools where straw top folds). If any of my hydro's are laying on their sides, they leak out. I now have multiple stains on my car seats due to non functioning lids. I really want to like hydro's, but for how pricey they are, these leaking issues needs to be figured out. My old Contigo snap top for coffee never leaked, and was much cheaper. Also my bf's Yeti he's used for years, for water, doesn't have any leaking issues either.

This lid leaks between the two pieces. I even asked to get a replacement for it and that one leaks too.

I really loved the old flip-top lids. I found the fact that it takes several steps to disassemble these lids daunting, but decided to give it a try. Bad idea. Unless you only take tiny sips, it leaks like crazy. There's nothing you can do yourself to fix it. It's a design problem plain and simple. As other reviewers said, love the handle. Otherwise I'd want to give this zero stars.

This is by far the worst lid Hydroflask sells. It leaks after every use no matter how tight its closed. Luckily for me, I use it for water so the spills aren't a sticky mess, just extremely annoying. This cap has gotten me and my personal belongings wet on numerous occasions and has leaked onto the seat of my car as well. To put it in short, do not buy this product unless you enjoy your beverage dripping all over the place.

Been using this lid for about a year. And have had multiple shirts get stained midday from the lid leaking. Also as other reviewers have said it absorbs flavor not allowing me to rinse and drink other things.

I purchased 3 of these lids from The Alpine Shop in Columbia, Mo and 2/3 leak after less than three months of use. They haven't been dropped, never washed in the dishwasher. No clue as to why two leak so much. The bottles themselves are great, but these lids-Not so Much.

I received a hydro flask with the flex sip lid for Christmas. It starts leaking every time I use it! So frustrating as I specifically asked for one because I thought it wouldn't leak. I've been trying to fill out the warranty form but I cannot find the product number for it and can't do anything without it!

The sip lid works but is extremely difficult to take apart to clean. And this is important to me especially in this day and age.

I've loved my 20 oz Hydro Flasks with flip lids for years. When they're nice and new they come to work with me. As they age and get dented they are relegated to hiking gear. When I'm driving I can open the flip lid, take a sip, snap the lid back with one hand and my eyes on the road the whole time. This morning I tried out my new Hydro Flask with the Wide mouth flex sip lid. I literally had to get off the freeway and pull into a parking lot so that I could get a sip of coffee. Why? it takes two hands to open and you have to look at the Red/Black indicator to know if its open. Try that while driving! I love the concept of an easy clean twist lid, I hate the idea of taking both hands off the steering wheel and looking at the Red indicator turning to a sippy hole while I am driving at 70 MPH. Please bring back the flip lid...please...

I had the flip-top sip lid for years. Eventually the gasket on the air-hole wore out. (Some wear-I and tear is expected). Bought this one at end of August. After three months of use, the silicone is wearing out. So it leaks. But, what is worse, you can't tell if it is going to leak or not until it does - leading to burned fingers and stained clothes.

It leaks, but the thing I dislike the most is the fact that I have to use my dirty hands to open and close, and it's pretty hard to do this without putting dirty hands where your mouth is going to go. I'm guessing they were tired of the old ones breaking, but I'd buy 10 of those before one of these. Really no other choice anymore. :(

This lid leaks and I hate it. I was mislead by the advertising which claims the lid won't leak. So, obviously, I am not happy.

I've received two Hydroflasks with the new flex sip lid and I'm not a fan. It leaks. There are 4 components that you have to disassemble and wash separately. I have reassembled the lid correctly only to have it leak consistently. After showing up to work with coffee stains more than a few times, I finally chucked the lids and I'm just waiting for the flip top coffee lids to be available again. Please fix this product Hydroflask or offer other lid options because I LOVE my Hydroflask for coffee

I love all my Hydro Flask products...except this one. It's very much not spill proof, its overly complex multi layer design lends it to huge amounts of mold growth. Worst of all the curvature of the rim makes it almost impossible to not drink without spilling on yourself.

the lid is cool but when you twist it open and try to drink out of it the lid leaks. I have like four of these lids and they all do it. I like the cup for coffee but I cant drink it without it spilling out of the twist seam on all my clothes. I really like every single other product except for this lid. Maybe I got a bad batch?
