This worked great at first but started to leak after a while. Frustrating to have it dripping down your chin while tipped up to drink, when the whole purpose was to be able to drink from the wide mouth bottle WITHOUT getting myself all wet.

I have had one negative experience after another with the company, unfortunately. For what I paid for this cup and accessories, I expected better service and quality. The lid actually leaks when I am drinking. Super disappointed.

When the hydro flask falls on its side, my drink leaks out all over everything. These kids are easy to drink from but they don't seal.

The opening on the lid is...weird. It's as if not enough water comes out yet the water that comes out wants to travel outside of where your mouth is placed. It's...odd.

I have had so many issues with these lids. They are so difficult to get apart and so therefore hard to clean! When if take a sip of my coffee it smells so putrid bc of this. So sad Bc I love the cup itself.

I love that I can disassemble the cap to clean it properly, however no matter how I reassemble the lid, it leaks. I intended to use this lid for coffee but every time I think I've gotten the lid just right it leaks all over my clothes. I hope hydroflask will continue to produce the flip top lids since there are fewer moving parts and they're easy to clean and always reliable.

I love this lid EXCEPT for the fact that it opens the wrong way! I twist it the wrong direction every single time I go to open it. Luckily I haven't had issues with cleaning it or leaking.

I like that this lid has a handle. It is VERY leaky. For the amount of money I spent on it, I would have hoped that water would not pour out of it even when it is closed.

Works great, most of the time. Occasionally for some reason the rubber gasket between the top and bottom sections decides to leak, resulting in a drink + shower in one! Nothing like water pouring down your chest when all you want is a drink.

This lid is too complicated, cleaning it is a pain. I'd much rather have the flip top lid. Not to mention during covid having to touch the part you drink from to open it. Not a fan. All of the other hydroflask products I have are great, no problems.

I have had my Hydro Flask less than a week. My husband bought it for me on Saturday, I took it to work on Monday morning and new Flex sip lid leaks. It leaks where the top twists open and close to sip. It doesn't appear to be adjustable or able to put together another way to avoid fluid seeping between the 2 piece top. Love the bottle but very disappointed with faulty cap.

I like the cap because I allows me to just twist it in order to drink and I don't have to open the entire bottle. My problem with the lid is that there are so many components to it whenever I need to wash it. It's confusing trying to get everything back together and it's kind of hard to do even with the instructions. I do like it I just wish that it was one kid and not a lot of different parts.

I needed to buy a replacement lid when I dropped my old one and it broke. I liked the old flip top kind much better. This one is cumbersome to assemble correctly, and if it isn't aligned exactly perfectly it will leak. Both my husband and I have had problems with leaking when we've used this lid. I hope the original lids will be available again some day because I loved my hydro flask prior to using this new lid. Fancier isn't always better.

I use this lid on my tumbler to drink coffee on the road. It works well, as far as spillage goes. However, disassembling it to clean it is difficult and frustrating, and so is reassembly.

I only use the straw or the lid. Not a fan of the flex

I bought this a little over a month ago and was very excited! After a lot of use, I am thinking about going back to the stock twist off lid. I love the handle and how easy it is to drink through it, but the cleaning is a nightmare. Every time I put it in my backpack it leaks... my cat knocked the bottle over while it was closed and it leaked all over the place... Hydroflask's best move would be to put the traditional handle on the flip up coffee lid. That would do it for me.

I have had this kid for maybe...4 months now and still don't know why I haven't taken it off (note to self). While the lid itself is pretty tight (it does leak a little), the design, to me, is super confusing. When "open" for drinking, there is no color designation. Black on black. And when closed, a red color shows in the drinking "window." I don't know about anyone else, but for my mentality, this is just backwards. The red should show when it is open, like a warning. As a former military member, red was an indication that a weapon was engaged and ready to use. Maybe it's just me, but I can't count how many times I've thrown this in my purse or on my truck seat in the blacked out "open" position, only to find the entire contents having been emptied and everything soaked.
Generally a good lid, and I have tried to train myself but I just can't get over the red being the indication that the lid is sealed.

Lid is great for drinking. Tried to unscrew the base of the lid for washing and it was very difficult to unscrew.
When I reassembled, the plastic broke. Great when it works. Now I need to replace.

Bought this lid in Laguna color as a replacement lid for one of the three original black ones that are getting scuffed up from heavy use. I thought I was getting a good deal by paying half the cost of a black lid, but this thing leaks like crazy. The other three original lids are still 100% leakproof despite all the use they endure. I was going to write the company, but got an email today to rate my purchase. How timely.

This lid does not prevent spillage. It has an open and close feature but unfortunately it does not prevent it from leaking. Won't purchase from here again.

I really wanted to like the Wide mouth flex sip for the custom bottle I had bought. It leaks when you take a drink. With this cap the bottle has to be always standing straight up. It has leaked in my purse and lunch bag. Of course I custom made the bottle and the flex sip is white. I don't think I'll ever be able to get a white cap with straw. ::(

Why. Just why. There doesn't need to be four parts to a lid. The cleaning is an actual nightmare. The middle part has so many nooks that are impossible to reach. The flex material soaks up the scent of whatever you drink and no detergents or vinegar will help. I bought because I liked the cute handle and the twist seal but this product was such a let down. Hopefully I can find an off-brand lid to fit my bottle :/

lid will leak down bottom lip when you take a drink and drip on fingers. The seal and twisty mechanism doesn't hold a tight seal and liquid will get trapped in the lid and drip out when you close or open or turn it upside down.

where are the flip lids? It looks like they have been discontinued. If I have to read multi-step instructions on how to disassemble a lid to clean it properly, AND if the thing leaks. . . . well this is just not a good product. I loved the flip lids as they were reliable and their simple design meant they didn't leak and they were easy to clean. Bring back the flip lids, get rid of this overly complicated product!
