I love it but it leaks a little bit even with it screwed on tight.

When I bought it, I noticed it leaked. Thinking it was a defect, I made Hydroflask aware and they were kind enough to send me another one. The problem is that the new lid was also leaking. I honestly love the cap, but I think it is flawed. If you're asking, I have all the parts and I properly installed it.

I have been using the new lid for a few weeks now. I really want to like the new style, but I'm having a few hiccups. First, I feel like with this lid that my coffee doesn't stay as hot as it did with the flip top lid. Second, I'm having problems with coffee leaking out of the same when I'm drinking it. It's frustrating to get drips of coffee on my clothes. Just wondering if I'm doing something wrong. I do really like the style an idea behind it. I like having a handle. Maybe this design just needs to be updated?

While this flask does keep my drinks cold for a long time, it is not by any means leak proof. If turned on its side, the liquid just pours out. Not a slight drip, but a steady stream. Disappointed, considering the relatively high price.

Bought this for school a few days ago but mine leaks out of the red part. i filled out a warranty claim hopefully i get a new working one. but still disappointed

Nice lid, and really amazing customer service, but after closing it tight where the red is showing, it leaks a small amount of liquid--more than a few drops and enough to be a problem getting things wet in a bag/purse/etc. I re-checked assembly/disassembly instructions and afterwards no improvement -- there's still a teaspoon or more of liquid that come out every time after you close the lid and tip it sideways. What gives, am I the only one with this issue? Maybe I just got a lemon...

I bought this about a month ago and little by little I've noticed its been leaking when I take a drink. It doesn't leak when I twist it completely closed but dribbles out when drink. I thought it was me

The lid is kind of tough to turn and there is no indication which way to turn it so if you turn it the wrong way the lid comes apart. Need arrows saying open close on the top or something.

its a nice simple lid, but im still hesitant to rely on it. The bottle does leak but I cant tell If its just water stuck in the lid or if its just always going to leak like the straw lid should the bottle fall on its side during travel.

I cannot unscrew the the screw on the back!? Help please

Overall the design is better. Mainly the little vacuum hole up top no longer gets plugged with water. I have noticed though that the rubber flap on the inside tends to stick closed sometimes, which prevents any liquid from going into your mouth in the open position. To resolve this you need to unscrew the entire cap a little to release the pressure on the inside.

But too much to keep clean. It's best if you put water than other liquids. Wish it were the current flip lids with the carry handles.

When the lid cleaning process requires a video, its too complicated. Love the product line. Hate having 4 parts to un-assemble just to properly clean the lid.

I really love this lid, as it lets me drink without taking off the cap. The only problem I have with this lid is it still leaks in the closed position.

I am an " on the go " type of guy and I find myself eating and drinking on the rosd quite a bit . I heard so much about this new Hydro Flask Wide Mouth Flex Sip Lid and i do agree with all I've heard and that is that this lid is a pretty good product . Its very durable and is really convenient with its design and it seems to hold up well under dishwasher cleanings !

I think the concept of this was good they just need to fix a few things.. every time I try to open the bottle to add more water I end up with all the pieces in my hand.. otherwise it's way easier than the straw lid to put on and has a better handle..

Hi. I have yet to find a lid that suits my needs. I see that you have the new flex lid. However, I feel like it's too cumbersome to clean day in and day out. I need something simple and not too many moving parts. Is there anyway you can just add handles to the old hydro "flip lid?" I have yeti's rambler and love their lid but I still have a lot of hydro flask in different colors that I would love to change out the lid for. But at this time I refuse to buy the flex lid. The people that I would like to gift the bottle and lid to are too lazy to take the lid apart each and every day to clean and i don't want to see them get sick if they get lazy and not wash properly. Please consider it and I will check back. Thank you for your time. Please keep it simples.

I bought this lid because I was tired of my old kid constantly leaking. The concept of the lid is great, it's leak proof and no more coffee on my nose! But there is a terrible plastic smell and taste that hasn't gone away with repeated washings which is super disappointing.

I like the design of the product. I like the lid. It was very easy to turn the lid and keep it super tight. It kept my milk cold. The handle on top of the lid was very easy to hold. Easy and convenient to take places.

Leaks. Awkward to use with strap that moves. Too many parts to it. Drips if setting on seat. Does not fit in cupholders

Bought 3 custom water bottles with this lid and they all leaked. LOT. Like, 40oz bottles would be empty in seconds if knocked over. They sent replacements, same thing. Not sure if it's a design thing, but they're awful.

I wanted a lid I could disassemble and clean thoroughly, so I am happy with that, but it has leaked on me every time I've used it except once - I haven't done anything different in assembling it after cleaning and drying, so I'm not sure why it worked that once. I suspect the red piece needs to be *exactly* in place, but I've been very careful with it and placed the text side up, and it still pours coffee all over me :/ the top part that you sip from separates into two pieces, but on instructions it doesn't show that. I will have to reach out and see if that top piece is supposed to stay together as one piece, so there's four pieces total instead of five

I was so excited about receiving this. Not sure what is happening but every time I take a sip, water leaks out.

This lid leaks unless you get it on just right. Would not recommend, other brands for coffee are much tighter and more reliable without leaking.

Flip much better - plus the new doesn't allow fillling to the top w/o overflow when you screw the new lid on.
