I'm rough on my presses. Been through about a dozen in the last 4 years mostly because I travel with them. I purchased three metal ones and been highly disappointed by misleading size and/or performance. Got my Stanley Press a few days ago and I can't wait for Quarantine '20 to be over and impress my camping/canoeing friends. This is not pretty to look at the breakfast table but it does make a lot of great coffee. The best part is, it stays hot. You can read the specs which I feel to be pretty true because I sat outside with my press at 41degrees for hours while the dogs played and had hot coffee. The best thing is that Stanley doesn't mention is on the lid they have etched an arrow so you know where to align the lid to the spout and not make a mess when you pour. Genius! My only con is it now cheaper than I ordered mine 2 weeks ago. I hope helps someone now that I look back, I really have wasted a lot of money of coffee presses. Including a plastic model that would not clean.

Perfect size to fill up the thermos and makes just enough coffee to keep me from wanting to punch a co-worker. I only have ever gotten grounds in the coffee when I get greedy and try to overfill it. Keeps coffee hot for a long while and my clumsy self can't break it

I have owned multiple coffee presses over the years and this one is the best. Not only does it keep coffee hot for hours, it is also large! I have previously owned an insulated coffee press and it would only keep the coffee hot for a short amount of time. Its larger size is also great when there are guests as I don't have to make multiple batches of coffee to serve everyone. If you need a new press or are looking for a great press that keeps coffee hot, get this one, you won't regret it!

We usually use a glass press for two but I wanted a tougher press to put in our camper and for if we had guest, I could make more coffee. This worked great, it kept the extra coffee warm so I could have a second cup if I wanted. It is very tough so I won't worry about it in our truck camper on rough terrain. It is big enough we could make coffee for three to four people.

This French press is nothing short of awesome. It's my daily coffee maker. I was expecting my first glass French press to break sooner or later given my history with coffee carafes and my sink. Well my daughter beat me to it, but I wasn't upset at all when I got to purchase this bad boy! I don't think my girls can break this if they tried. Plus it makes great coffee! The fact that it's 48 oz too is way better than most other presses out there which typically average about 28-34 oz or so. If you want to only purchase one french press in your life, make it this one. Only complaint is that the lid is somewhat loud when it's not in the press but expected for a hollow piece of steel.

I recently was able to use the new Adventure Percolator. It brought back great memories of my grandparents making coffee when I was at their house growing up. This is a very well made percolator and is so simple to use. The insert is easy to take apart and clean after you make your coffee. One of the things that I really like is the removable silicone handle. It insulates your hand very well from the heat of the main pot handle and helps to prevent accidentally burning your hand. It also prevents accidentally catching a rag on fire while hurrying to get that first cup of coffee in the morning. A few suggestions That I would give to you... First use a coarse ground coffee in your percolator unless you like to chew your coffee. Second is to make sure that the lid is all the way on your pot. This lid is hinged prevent you from losing the lid but you need to make sure that it is sitting on the pot right. Lastly if you want to keep the outside of your pot clean while using it over a campfire here is a trick for you. Rub bar soap on your percolator before use, and try to keep your pots over a coal-bed, away from open flames. They will still get sooty, but the soap helps keep the soot from sticking allowing for easier cleanup. What is better to wake up to while enjoying the outdoors than the smell of a fresh coffee?

After a decent amount of pots put through this, I couldn't be happier. Nice and light. Easy to clean out. The easy on/off silicone handle is a nice touch. General percolator note: I normally grind beans into individual ziplocs before our camp weekends. I set the grinder to a very coarse grind when doing this. The last time we went to the woods, someone had given us a bag of store-ground coffee and we brought that along for the percolator. Don't do this. Fine grounds get all up in your coffee and the poor person who gets the "last cup" will be a decidedly unhappy camper. Nice coarse grind and brew over the fire pit grate or the propane camp stove and you'll be the king of camp mornings.

Made my first batch of percolator coffee with this and it was pretty easy and tasted good. Typical of Stanley brand, this product is simple and built tough. The silicone grip is a great feature as well.

I am an avid coffee drinker and this was a great system to get a full brewed cup of coffee with only a camping stove. I used course ground coffee and there were not grounds in the coffee as I would have expected. It does not take too long and it makes a good amount of coffee in one brew. love it!

I used this product last weekend for group camping. We were five families with a love for brewed coffee. What I like about this percolator was how easy it was to use. Additionally, the coffee tasted great and it made enough for several people. Clean up was easy too. The only suggestion is to make sure the lid is secure before percolating.

I haven't been able to use it outside camping quite yet, but I love the versatility it has that I can use it at home. This Percolator has made my mornings more efficient as I don't have to stand over my coffee filter cone and keep pouring. It gets my coffee hot enough that it actually tastes better. Its just the right amount and I don't waste any coffee. It's an easy clean up. Love it!

Here's the truth, if you're willing to follow the instructions and be patient enough to do things the old-fashioned way, this percolator makes a far superior cup of coffee than a Kuerig, or any other modern day coffee maker. That being said, it isn't flawless, not that it needs to be, but if I could request one thing, it would be more capacity. The reality is that this is a single cup of coffee at a time, with enough for a top off. Again, I want to reiterate that, in my opinion, with patience and FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS, this percolator makes a superior cup of coffee. With PROPER use it will serve its purpose for a lifetime. The hinge could be more robust and the plastic knob should be glass. Those changes and offering a much larger capacity option, along with the current size, would make it 5 stars for sure. Makes me wonder why we wasted our time creating technology to brew coffee beyond the percolator?! Oh yeah, lazy humans unwilling to put in the time for the good things in life is why!! So, if you find yourself in the later category, stick with the Keurig, but if you appreciate a quality cup of coffee, buy this percolator, and put in the time perfecting the art of percolating. Gotta love simple physics, thanks science!

This is so cool. Perfect for camping and grilling. I would give 5 stars if the lid had a glass bulb instead of plastic.

Nice, a bit coarse. This is good item for the camper and kitchen. Froth your soy and enjoy. Can produce authentic froth for soy latte (better than the corner coffee shop). We get too many grounds but sorted that out as operator error. It is durable and will serve for you for years.

This works well. I had an issue with mine not keeping all the grounds below the screen. I remedied this by stirring the coffee before I put the press in and pushing down the plunger. Moves all the grounds to the middle and let's the screen force them down to the bottom. It's easy to clean. Sturdy. Actually keeps coffee hot for a good while. Most French presses with this kind of capacity don't have insulation. Thanks Stanley for another great product

I once heard an admiral say that the key to organization is start your day by making the bed. I'm of the opinion that making coffee is the one thing you do every morning and not someone else. I also believe that just because you are in an uncomfortable plac dos not mean you have to be uncomfortable.

This is a great little percolator, but it does require some experimentation to get good results. I've used it on my home electric stove and on my Coleman Triton + stove. Some complaints I've seen say the bottom is too small, but I didn't find this the case. It rests well on both my camp stove and indoor cooktop. It holds 16oz. Basket is an interesting design and has holes on the sides, so be careful with using normal grind coffee as you will get grounds in your coffee. I recommend coarse grind or use a paper filter in the basket and no more than 4 tablespoons of grounds. Pay attention to fill marks and do not overfill!
