I've bought many mugs over the years from K. Kanteen to S-bucks. The whole gamut of travel mugs and tumblers. What frustrated me is that they didn't keep my coffee or tea scalding hot long enough for me to actually enjoy the piping hot beverage. I felt ready to throw in the towel and give up. Low and behold. The Stanley commuter mug. I found a mug I was willing to try. Why not? Good construction. Sturdy design. Brand recognition. I waited almost a year to invest in TWO of them--the small one and the big one. Money well spent. I put scalding hot tea in the mug at 6:30 am and when I arrive at the office around 8:00 am, the drink is still scalding HOT! Here's the deal, if you open the mug 20 times an hour throughout the day, yes, the beverage will lose heat. However, if you open it minimally each hour, the beverage is STILL comfortably hot at 3:00 pm. All I can say is that I LOVE THIS MUG. I'm getting ready to invest in the classic Stanley water bottle and home mug. Buy this mug NOW already! Thank you Stanley!

I am a tool fanatic and this by far the best tool for me, so much so this was my third one. My co-worker had to have one as well, but I really must give the real credit to my daughter for introducing me to the mug. It goes everyday and everywhere with me!

Got this as a gift and I absolutely love it. The first time I used it, I forgot about it and left it outside in the 10F weather, found it two hours later and burned my tongue when I took a sip. Best mug I've ever owned by a long shot.

This does a super job at keeping my coffee hotter than anything else I have tried. Love the 20oz size. Does the job great!

The Stanley thermos mug is the best to-go mug I've ever owned. I am extremely particular and have a long list of requirements that my new mug needed to have. I was down to one mug and searched online and in stores for over 2 years before I came across the new Stanley to-go mug. I've been a Stanley thermos owner since my grandfather gave me his so I should have known they would be the best. This mug is easy to carry; fits in the car holder; the lid comes completely apart for washing; coffee stays hot for hours; it can lay flat in my book bag and not spill; it doesn't deny when dropped, and it is very attractive and wear-proof. I love this mug so much I'm considering getting a couple more and getting rid of every regular mug I have because all someone needs is 2-3 of these for each person in the house and they will be set for life. I'm waiting for the red and ice blue to be available so I can make my dream come true!!

Purchased this for my everyday comute and all around daily use. Keeps coffee HOT for hours and keeps cold water cold as well. None better than Stanley.

I bought 3 of this for my husband and he just love them! He work in the oilfield at North Dakota and this mugs keep his coffee for hours....

I brought this item last spring and it is the best coffee mug EVER. Coffee stays hot for over 6 hours. Mug is also very well built has been dropped out of vehicle window many times fro truck and lid still fits tight and doesnt leak. worth the money.

This Stanely mug is the best insulated vacuum mug I've ever used in my life, and I used to work at Starbucks - they have a lot of insulated mugs. Now I am in the military and this mug is my companion every day. Seriously, my coffee stays hot ALL DAY LONG. If I forget about it, it's still slightly warm the next day; This just blows my mind that its warm at all an entire day later.

I purchased 1 of these mugs in Blue for my wife, as our other stainless steel mug from another company, would not stay open to drink from. These are far superior to anything else on the market, and I purchased another in Green for myself. Simple superior to any other travel mug on the market. It keeps the coffee hot for 6 hours, and does what it promises.

After reading countless reviews on travel mugs I landed on this one. It was a gift for my mother. I wanted the best mug for budget minded consumer. At the cost of nearly $40 U.S. It tipped the high side of the scale but worth every penny. She's since reported 100% satisfaction with both build quality & functionality. This is the best car mug ever. Throw it on the seat, pick it up and drink with one hand. No leaks. The only bad thing is it keeps your coffee too hot too long.

Bought this mug 2 months ago and am very pleased! By far the best mug in regards to heat retention and being leak proof. Be careful with the little rubber seal when washing. Have lost one already and had to buy a spare lid. (Would be nice if they sold a 5 pack of just that little seal.) When that seal is in however, it only oozes ruggedness, with that classic hammer tone green. It definitely performs as good as they say. The lid comes apart for easy cleaning and never had a sticky button. Have since bought a second one and am trying out the classic hydration bottle soon.

I have never had a travel mug that kept my coffee as hot and for such a long time before this one. My wife wants one now.

Best coffee mug I've ever owned. No more plastic wrapped in aluminum foil mugs, this is the real deal. Dual layer construction keeps my coffee hot too long in the morning. I used to drink it on my way to work, but it's still too hot even by time I get to the office. Best mug I've ever bought. When/if this mug does, I'll replace it with the exact same kind.

I was looking for a mug that actually kept drinks warm and this one does just that. I can easily sip for 3+ hours with out and cooling down, sometimes it's almost too hot! The outside of the mug stays cool for easy handling and spills never happen besides the few dribbles that are left in the lid after drinking Easy to clean, easy to use, easy to recommend.

I can take my coffee to school with me. I don't have to worry about carrying it carefully. It wedges into my tote bag. And, if I have a busy morning, my coffee is still hot at lunch time!

Okay, like most, I have had several different mugs and I really have been impressed with this one. I have had the 16oz version for about a year, and for me that has worked well. Good points: leak proof-its been full and fallen over in the car and no worries. solid-bumps and dings from the job and not a scratch. INSULATED-filled it up about 3 a.m. for the rest of the shift, didn't finish it. Came back to it about noon and it was still hot. By 3 p.m. it was cooler but still warm. The cold test worked even better The bad: big-16oz. size does not fit in many auto cup holders. Drippy-if not careful, drink can remain on lid instead of returning down the hole so the next time you drink you get splashed. Also the button can be hard to push. My wife had to use two hands. All in all, I really like this mug and will use it for a long time.

I've been using this for the past few months. It's been a large part of why I'm only drinking one pint of coffee per day rather than 3 to 4 pints per day that I used to drink. The coffee stays HOT for 4 hours! I do NOT like drinking tepid or "iced" coffee. From the air conditioned extremes of the work place to the sunny 90+ temps at the beach while fishing, 4 hours (plus) after filling it, the coffee's as hot as if I'd just poured it. Since I can enjoy it longer...I drink less of it. No problems with anything at all to this point. I no longer need my 32 oz Stanley Thermos, and considering how many decades I've been using that....I believe the same quality in this mug makes for a darned good value, even without the Stanley warranty.

In a world where every great product that should last a lifetime is reduced to garbage because of a single lost or broken part... Stanley comes through and actually lets you replace the most frequently lost element of any travel mug: the lid. The fact that the lid can be completely disassembled and cleaned is huge too since my mug sometimes gets forgotten in my truck for weeks. I recently lost the lid to one mug and broke the lid of the other. Thank you Stanley for keeping my mugs usable by offering these replacements. The one-handed mugs are by far the best travel mugs I've ever used. They keep my coffee, tea or soup hot for hours on bitter cold days. Plus I've dropped them off a motorcycle @ 45 mph and they kept going.

Can't say enough good about this product. Have had a Stanley Thermos for about 20 years and got thisw from daughter as gift. Excellent all day, anywhere.

Stanley products are number one in mugs and thermoses, I refuse to buy anything other than Stanley. I use my mug and thermos every day trucking on the road and have never been let down on keeping my coffee hot. I can also lay my mug down and not have to worry about leaks or spills. The only down side is that I cannot find replacement parts for my CLASSIC ONE HAND VACUUM MUG 16oz.
