Not great. Keeps coffee hot and coffee tastes ok but we get so many grounds in the cup no matter what we do. Would not recommend.

The 48 0z French Press coffee maker makes good coffee but does not keep the coffee hot for very long, certainly not 4 hours as advertised. There is too much heat loss through the top, which is not insulated and gets very hot to the touch. Stanley should consider making the top with a thermo-plastic, or other insulation technique to minimize heat loss. Also may consider changing the profile, so it's taller and smaller in diameter.

The plunger assembly does not come apart. Thus you cannot replace the screens. And the screen only last about one year. So the entire french press is only good for one year.
Stanley please fix this problem with this otherwise amazing French Press!!!

So wanted to love this French press! It's bigger (perfect for 2 coffee loving people) and keeps the coffee nice and hot. But sadly, LOTS of grains end up in your cup of coffee especially the last cup to the point where it's sometimes not even drinkable.
Stanley, please figure out a way to make this French Press better. This is definitely not user error as I've used French presses for over 20 years.

I just received this press for an Xmas present. This is my second french press, so I know how to properly use one. This press always has grounds in the coffee. The stainless filter is not tight enough to the inside of the container, and when you press it, grinds come into the coffee resevoir. I was really exited about this press because of it's bigger size, but chewing my coffee is not enjoyable! Stanley needs to make the press filter diameter bigger.

The wire mesh does not properly filter the coffee grounds so you grounds in your cup. I think the wire mesh diameter needs to be a little larger to stop this.

The french press itself has a lousy seal inside and I have yet to get a pot of coffee that does not also contain a mouthful of grinds.

I wanted to buy a spare filter screen to have for when the original one fails. Only problem is you cannot order one. I see other comments regarding wanting a replacement screen and the fact you cannot get one. What is wrong with this company that you cannot purchase a replacement part for a current product? These screens do not last forever and you will eventually need one. I know what I will do - through it in the trash and buy from another company.

The filter on this press is not fitted to the container. Many grounds will come through. I do not understand how anyone can give this a good review. Return process is atrocious.

I wanted to love it! I was so excited to get it. I do love the white color. It however, has been designed without a screening that keeps the grounds from flowing into your coffee. I didn't see any reviews talk about that fact. But that's not something my family can tolerate. We just don't like grounds in our coffee ( lots ). Very disappointed .

Although the durable steel construction, robust appearance, and classic Stanley design may lure you into thinking you can boil your water in this product like some other camping french presses, this is not the case. The adhesive will quickly melt/expand and in a few minutes you'll end up with an unusable product, a kitchen full of adhesive fumes, and possibly a smoke alarm.
Can't speak for how well the filter/press works because before completing first use it is now an oddly tilted green paperweight. So I guess most car campers will be doing 2+ rounds of Jetboiling before making any coffee in this carafe, which was possibly engineered by the marketing department.

The whole idea of a french press isn't to store the coffee with the spent ground after the press. The spent grounds and fresh coffee should be separated immediately after pressing, therefore if you want good coffee this unit is useless. It's very well made but not very well thought out.

Purchased this press for a trip. When you pour the grounds pour out as well. Very bad design. When I got home called and they said I would receive my refund in 30 days. It's been 3 months. Will no long purchase their products. Ever.

This is a very poorly engineered French press. The screen inside doesn't fit tight enough and it lets excessive coffee grains thru. Very disappointed in this poor quality

I have tried 3 times since purchasing. No matter how I have ground my coffee I end up with grinds in my coffee. I have used a french press for years and can't get this one to make a decent pot of coffee. I feel like the screen and the base are not tight fitting.
