I have owned my 1.1qt thermos for about 8 months. It keeps my coffee hot for at least 8 hours. The only problem now is the stopper seal leaks. Every day. Are replacement stoppers available at Stanley online store?

I loved this thermos until it started breaking down. Only a few months after having, the welds that hold the handle down broke off. After a year the pour through top( which i love) would leak from the outside as i pour. Then I dropped it inside my locomotive right on the edge of a steel step and it dented it eliminating the double wall vacuum and now it does not keep my coffee hot for very long. I really like the size of this Stanley and it really kept my coffee hot for long. I just hoped for more durability.

This is a great product, and keeps my coffee hot while sitting in the duck blind all day. I know that the outside appearance has never changed, but has there been any consideration of offering a camouflage version? Currently I use camouflage tape to cover my thermos, but a painted version would be greatly appreciated.

Like many of the other users who left reviews, my 1.4 quart vacuum bottle leaks when I pour. I've tried every possible way to avoid this: only opening it a small amount, pulling up on the stopper, pushing down on the stopper, cleaning the stopper, but nothing seems to prevent the dribbling. If possible, can you send me a simple stopper? You know, the kind that my dad still has on his Thermos, the one that we used when hunting 50 years ago! I don't need, nor even want, a stopper that allows me to pour my coffee without taking it off. Even if it didn't leak, the design is so complicated, it's impossible to clean.

My husband has had the old version (handle does not fold flat) of this thermos for years. He is a truck driver and uses it 6 days a week. After a couple of years the lid/cup came apart in two pieces. Now last week the rivet to the top of the handle came off and we used a zip tie to put it back on. Lasted less than a week and the bottom rivet came loose. Now, no handle. This thermos still keeps the coffee incredibly hot. He prefers the kind of stopper that has a flip top for pouring, but we can't find a thermos with that kind of stopper anymore.

my father in law is a trucker and has had a Stanley for many years; for Christmas this year he gave me one. As a paramedic I spend most of my day sitting in a truck when not on running calls, so coffee is a must and lets face it the gas station stuff doesn't cut it. I prep it with hot water before leaving in the evening and at the end of tour 12 hours later still have that last cup of hot coffee to get me home. Im not gentle on my gear at it holds up no leaks. some scratches and dents but I love this thing.

I bought this huge momma last year at costco, I get about 14 hrs hot in my mine. I enjoy it, is durable. The old ones sound great with 24 hrs hot and alll. Yet I am still happy with this product as it seems to fit my needs.

For 8 years now, every work day I make up a pot of coffee and fill a vacuum bottle to take with me all day. For this purpose, I bought one Stanley vacuum bottle and one Thermos The Rock vacuum bottle and switched back and forth between them. The Thermos is still on duty. I have replaced the Stanley vacuum bottle once already because it started to leak, probably three or four years ago, and the second vacuum bottle is now in need of replacement. Although it doesn't leak coffee to the outside, it probably is leaking coffee into the vacuum area, which makes it conduct hot and cold. It can no longer keep coffee hot very long at all. Other complaints (minor) - too tall to wash easily in the sink; handle comes apart occasionally and has to be put back together; metal parts and plastic parts of the lid eventually separate from each other (also a problem with Thermos). I would describe this as a very good product. Each one has given me about four years of good service. Next time I buy one, however, I will be buying Thermos. If you are looking for a lifetime product that will never quit, Thermos is the better choice. The Thermos is shorter, wider, and has a fixed handle. I like that it has rubber bumpers around it - prevents scratching of the bottle or the sink when you wash it. The Stanley looks better, but the Thermos works better.

Saddly I might have to retire my Stanley Aladdin thermos it is just not retaining the temperature anymore. It has been a great thermos until this year when I brought it out for use. It has been like a faithful friend always there when I needed it. Who can be upset when it has served me well now for 32 years, what can you buy today lasts that long? Almost nothing. Thank You Stanley....

It does not keep coffee as hot as my 40 year old Stanley thermos. My old one started leaking around the lid and I needed to replace.

Got mine yesterday. 2019 -A production. The silica seal on the stopper stinks. According to my research, "food grade" or "medical grade" silica seal won't stink.

I bought the bottle about 1.5 years ago. All was fine until yesterday: I found that plastic on stopper just broken because of daily contact with steam. Some part of plastic was inside bottle, part - on stopper. Did expect much better quality. Also I should say that at the moment I got negative response from store in Russia on my guaranty request - they said they need a "Stanley guaranty paper" for this particular vacuum bottle. And seems I lost somehow this paper (thought it will be useless, he-he).

I've had this 1.4qt thermos for over 5 years now. It keeps coffee hot all day. The only thing that I hate is it leaks everywhere when I pour coffee. I never had this problem with the old style stopper. Now the o-ring on the stopper is stretched and pops out when I try to close the stopper. I wish I could find the old style stopper and replace this one.

So I have had 2 of these for many years, one put away, one to use, the one I used was perfect always held my coffee piping hot. Sadly someone stole it off my seat at a function. I got out the one I had put away and it is nothing compared to my first one, my coffee is barely luke warm at lunchtime. Amazing how 2 thermos' the same brand age and everything can be so different. So disappointed, as this is the older made in the USA thermos.

I have the blue color bottle. It works great, but it leaks a little from under the cap when you are pouring. The paint was applied uniformly under the cap/cup.

I am now on my 2nd classic thermos (1.4 qt) from Stanley. I use them specifically for coffee. The first one I owned leaked badly when I would pour a cup. I would twist and turn the top, and experiment to find a sweet spot where it wouldn't leak. I always kept the bottle and seals clean, so I know that wasn't the problem. Then, the handle fell off. I wasn't rough with it and I didn't pull on it. I was quite surprised, but I didn't report it because I made due without it. Then, one of my boys got me the identical thermos for Christmas in 2014, the one I'm using now. Same problem...it leaks! I still use the thermos because it keeps my coffee nice and hot, but I am tired of cleaning coffee off the counter, my pants, the floor, etc. I have always thought that Stanley makes the best thermos, but I am disappointed in this particular model.
