Fit was good, and can be adjusted with laces, even though the zipper is there.

Like other reviewers noted, these might run a bit small. I purchased the size that I normally purchase for running or hiking shoes (1/2 size up from "everyday" shoes or sandals). I actually ordered two sizes, and, interestingly, the 8.5 seemed a good bit wider than the 8.

These shoes look great and fit very well. These shoes are great if your feet tend to swell and change sizes. The side zipper along with laces allows you to adjust the shoes.

For a tennis shoe style, this shoe was very narrow. I am a wide 6.5 but usually tennis shoes still fit fairly comfortably. Just be aware that these definitely do not fit wide feet.

I ordered a half size up and it was perfect! I love the style and the comfort. I am trying to heal from plantar fasciitis and these shoes are super comfortable. I really didn’t want to take them off at the end of the day today!

I disagree that you need to order a size up. I thought the fit was perfect. These shoes are very cute and I've received many compliments. They are also very comfortable and supportive. I love Taos!

This is my second pair of Taos Footwear tennies. I did size up a half size larger in both pair and they fit great with socks. I love the arch support and style as well as the comfort!

A wonderfully comfortable shoe. Just order a half size larger and you are set!

I love these shoes! They are so comfortable. I now have two pairs and am considering buying a third. What is surprising is the number of compliments that I get when I wear them.

These shoes are so comfortable I didn't want to take them off. And they are very stylish in the athleisure way that is so in today. I love them!

I love TAOS brand. Have had several other styles in recent years. Must go up 1/2 size in all styles for a good fit on the arch. These have saved my feet - comfortable and supportive. I wanted to try something new - these are terrific. I love that I can just unzip slip in and zip up - the ankle height is good for winter.

They feel great! I have quite a few Taos shoes, an these did not disappoint!

I needed a shoe with good arch support & these are great. I was told the break-in time takes a while but I was good within 1 day. I really like the style too!

Love these shoes. Husband made fun of the zipper but seriously they’re perfect. Makes it easy for the constant inside and outside with dogs. Love the mid rise because it covers my ankles so they stay warm in my pandemic-leggings uniform. I bought a 1/2 size up because of comments. I have a nice amount of room but honestly could have ordered my regular size. The laces are laced tightly from the factory. Expect you will need to loosen them and tie them the first time you put them on or they will not fit.

my heel and toe were both rubbing against the shoe in my normal size. This shoe could be improved with a leather lining in the heel cup for comfort.

The shoes fit and they are nice, good quality, but the soles are too thin! I almost felt barefoot when I tried them on.

The right shoe fit great but the left shoe was too tight at the first MTP joint.

This is a nice and fun shoe. It does have arch support but is not "cushion-y" inside. However, I am not in love with the blue color. It is a periwinkle with a purple tint so doesn't got with my wardrobe well.

I am a fan of over Taos shoes and wanted to try these. I ordered 2 different pair of high sneakers : Winner, Union and these sneakers the Startup. The Winner and Union are leather and I found them to be very stiff, a stiffness I didn't want to overcome and break in. I returned them and kept the Startup, the material is softer. The are cute and I have received compliments on them. However, I do not feel the arch support is as good as the other Taos sneakers I have (MocStar's).

Ordered 1/2 size bigger based on the other reviews and was surprised to find the shoes are too big. Also noticed the shoe heel rubs my ankle in the same spot as my other pair of Taos. Returning.

It felt short and tight over the foot - the zipper was difficult to maneuver

I love the style, the fit seems about right once I’d loosened the laces a little bit. There are some areas in the top of my foot where they rub. I’m planning to just wear them in a few hours at a time. I’m hoping they feel comfortable soon.
