I ordered size 12 boots and it came with insoles for a size 10 shoe. Therefore the boots are very uncomfortable. It would be good if they put the correct size of the insoles.

Ordered the 10.5 wide for my husband. In no way are these wide. They were tight without even tightening the laces. He loves them but now because I bought them when they were like 40% off my only option is to return and re-buy at a higher price. I want to exchange for the same boot in a larger WIDE size hoping it would work.

I'm a mail carrier in the Midwest. I bought these about 2 years ago and was. Very surprised by the comfort and waterproof. I only used the boots during the winter months and within a month or two water started seeping in and the insoles made them very uncomfortable to wear. Surprisingly the soles have really stood up to the wear and tear.

Great boot until it is really broke in. Boot is splash proof not water tight. Once boot is broken in it starts to break down.

Narrow inside and thin sole. Thin fabric. Cold in cold weather. Very light, overall comfortable.

These boots look good. I like how they feel like a trail running shoe, not stiff and clunky like most hiking boots. I ordered the wide fit and seemed to have gotten that. I should have listened to other reviews saying it was to tight. It is too tight and uncomfortable, squeezing my toes. I'm hoping it will expand some through wearing, but I have my doubts.

I really loved my boots until we got some really sloppy weather. The first big slush puddle I stepped in I knew something was wrong as the cold wetness seeped in. Columbia did offer to have me send the boots in, but I never did because I would gave them been without boots. I love the look, support, and comfort, but I wouldn't be able to recommend them for someone who wants a true waterproof boot.

Nice fit and comfort. However, the left boot makes an annoying popping sound when walking. Sounds like the sole is separating but it's intact.

Call color on the toe and the color between the sole and the actual shoe is misleading. It's more of a darker gray than a light gray other than that the shoe is very comfortable

Great shoes overall. Fit is adequate based on comparable sizing with other boots. The left boot was delivered with an issue with the lining in the heal. The adhesive used has separated and creates a sound and uncomfortable feeling in the heal from day 1. I needed the boots the next day so I thought maybe after a long day wearing them they would adhere back to the heal of the shoe. Unfortunately they have only got worse and is troublesome to wear as they are noisy: it makes a popping sound when very time I take a step with my left foot. It's distracting and the fit of the shoe is not the same as the right shoe. It feels like the Omni heat material is pulled to tight in which is the reason that the adhesive won't keep the shoe attached in the heal. I would have returned them but can't after using the shoes the following day after receiving them. All in all I wish I received a better quality shoe so I would be more comfortable wearing them more often.

My problem is the "wide" size. Not suitable for wide feet. I wear EEE, ordered a full size and a half larger, but even that was tight. I can't comment on performance since I only tried them for fitting.

The overall style and look were nice. The feel however was stiff and the toe box seemed cramped. It was lighter than the boot I ended up going with, but the stiffness and toe box were too much of an issue for me.

The boots seem to be well made and well insulated but the sizing is incredibly small. I wear a size 9 and these were almost too tight to put on. I returned them and was unsure what size to get so I went to a store that sells them and tried them on.10-1/2 fit comfortably in this model. I also tried a couple other styles of Columbia boots and they fit fine in my usual size 9 so the sizing seems to only be an issue with the Fairbanks Omni-Heat boot.

Shoe not what it looks like on the images, they need to be more specific or present images that really match the aperareance of the product. It runs biggest and once your feet is in it feels really loose.

Good comfortable boot. Looks great. Just too hot for my application. I have other boots with 200g insulation that I can wear year round. These had my feet HOT almost instantly, especially if you wear them inside at all. Likely a great boot for outdoor cold weather, but too warm for me. Wish they offered the same boot uninsulated.

Received wrong size (8.5 not 9) and wrong color boots that I ordered. I kept them because they fit me well. So far I am ok with quality and I have used a couple times in snow. Obviously customer fulfillment accurately is an issue. If possible I recommend you purchase from a retailer.

I liked the boot and the feel, but the inside seam was too large and rubbed on my ankle bone. Had to return.

First impressions of the boot were good, but with actual use I'm not to impressed, walking in snow and slush I noticed that the boot wasn't as water proofed as I thought it would be, I'll add a spray coat to help with that. The boot keeps your toes pretty toasty which is nice in the recent mid 20's weather I've had.

Columbia should change the name of these boots to something other than Fairbanks because your feet wouldn't survive 10 minutes outside if you were actually wearing them in Fairbanks.
Wanted a lightweight yet warm pair of boots for fat tire biking. I live in Anchorage, Alaska so I need boots that'll keep my feet warm in temps down to -20 and I thought these would do the trick. Oh how wrong I was! They are super lightweight and fit perfectly (12W) but they just don't offer enough insulation to keep my feet warm in the extreme cold temps.
Went for a bike ride yesterday when it was -15 and my feet quickly got so cold that I had to turn around and head back to the car. By the time I got there my feet were absolutely numb. It happened fast and went downhill quickly as my feet just kept getting colder and colder.
I'd say these boots would probably be OK at temps above 10 degrees or so. Not exactly sure of the temp range because I haven't had a chance to test them at various temps but gauging by how fast my feet got cold at -15 I'd have to say 10-20 degrees is probably the low end comfort limit of these boots.
Bottom line is I think I'll stick to my Buggaboots when it's extremely cold. They offer twice the insulation (400g vs 200g) and these will just have to be my warmer weather boots because they are comfy and lightweight, they just don't offer the insulation needed at extreme cold temps.

I bought this in March 2021 - Had a Good trip in Alaska and Iceland (Warm, Comfortable, did not get wet (I was using waterproof socks also). However, during recent hiking trip in Kilimanjaro, there was snow storm and rain. Socks and feet got wet and was cold, and it was very uncomfortable after few hours. Lucky it was during last two days and avoided issues. Other issue is Grip/Tractions on rocks/boulders are poor. I slipped few times (Dry or Rain) - fortunately avoided any major injury. It may be a shoe - which is not meant for heavy duty hiking.

It is warm , comfortable and windproof but definitely not Waterproof . I would only recommend this product if you are not gonna wear under rain .

I've had these for a few months, maybe 4 or so. They have held up decent EXCEPT almost same waterproofing a vans or converse. The waterproofing was good for one day, and then water seeped in when it was only drizzling. It almost soaks water in. Waterproof was kind of the main reason I bought these. But the shoe in cold climates does fine as long as there is not excess snow or rain. Does slightly better in snow because the snow takes longer to soak in.

Needed to return them. I wear 14.5 and ordered 15 but they were too tight even with thin socks. Too bad there isn't a size larger. Also they were oddly loose in the ankle
