I am a 5'10", 155 lb. male. I own the vest in size small, and it fits perfectly. I can wear it over a tee shirt or polo, and especially like it over a sweater. It also layers perfectly underneath a rain shell and insulated winter jacket. It basically works with everything I own in terms of layering functionality. It forms to my body, but is not snug. The vest is super light weight and while I saw someone knock the updated collar, I prefer it because you can zip it down a bit and it will stand up - rather than collapse in on your next as the previous collar design did. For this reason, I find the updated collar to be more comfortable. The vest does a great job of insulating, while looking attractive at the same time. I own in color Admiral (navy, one of my favorite colors). I look forward to see the other colors it may come in in the future. I will certainly be picking up a second vest.

My wife surprised me with my first vest as an anniversary gift about 3 years ago. To her surprise I wore it nearly everyday (as I'm super picky). Eventually I snagged it on the garage door tearing a little hole in the back, and then she surprised me with another after I wore the heck out of the first one after about two years. Love this vest. Am wearing it now in my office. The only thing I could suggest is that they taper it a little in the waist as it fits a bit straight, but it doesn't stop me from loving it.

After the perfect gilet / vest? Look no further... Easy to take anywhere (I'm yet to find a bag I can't stuff this into somewhere!) and punches above it's weight in terms of warmth. Comfortable and hard wearing it's great on it's own for those cooler autumn / spring days or as a layer when it's cold. I had one of these for a few years until it recently went missing. I missed it so much I've now replaced it.

I'm fairly new to the outdoor industry; I skiied a lot before joining an outdoor retailer nearly a year ago, but did little else and my knowledge of what was out there was very limited. I immediately fell in love with the look and feel of the thing. I bought one primarily for skiing, but have found myself using it for everything. As soon as the weather gets even remotely cold, I throw it on. Incredibly lightweight, I often forget I'm wearing it until I overheat, at which point I unzip and just notice a bubble of hot air venting out from my torso. Stuffs away into the darkest corners of my pack, and the non-locking zip is great for venting out hot air when I'm a little toasty (which considering the number of times I wear it on the Underground, is a lot) Works well for everything; I have used it for hiking, commuting, skiing (under an insulated jacket), and just relaxing at home. I look forward to expanding my Atom range for my new Sabre ski shell next season. Like I said, I work in the outdoor industry, and have no hesitation recommending this item as the go to mid layer as it's lightweight, stuffable, wind/showerproof and it looks and very well; I got one for my mum who also loves it when she's out hiking! Yes a little pricey, and I *think* there's been a jump up in price this year, but definitely worth every penny.

The Atom LT vest is simply the best men's vest I own. I wear vests in the late Fall-early Spring. Not only stylish, you will love the fit and how light it is. I have purchased other vests, but I give them to my son because the Atom LT has set a standard other companies can't meet.

I don't own vests, period - however after owning a few iterations of the Atom line, I thought i would give this a try. Best of the atom, just without the sleeves which is a plus in everyday wear. This is truly a piece to consider if you are not sold on wearing the normal atom with work attire, ie collared shirt and slacks. Certainly blends well but the collar on the atom vest will cover your collared shirt given its height. Overall, expect the same quality stitching and build of the atom without the arms. Its very versatile and for many might be a better alternative than the normal jacket as it adds more mobility and takes away the added bulk when layering in shells. My vest is a few years old and still has not frayed or had any loose strands. Great atom and glad to have it apart of my Arcteryx gear. Give it a try, black is a safe color to wear it with everything.

The Atom LT vest is hands-down the most versatile piece that I own. In the past month or so, I've spent time in Africa, the Alps, Central Europe, and the United States and this is the single piece that has made the cut for the packing list for every trip. Fit is true to size, and trim without being a sausage-casing. Warmth is phenomenal for the limited bulk, and is perfect with a base layer under a ski jacket. Compressibility is better than other, similar products that I've tried. It fits into a small space in a 9L ski/hydration pack and in a small carry-on equally well. Surface fabric has held up extremely well, with no snags or runs. Durability is awesome; even after a year of hard use, multiple launderings, etc. it is holding up as new. "Layerability" is good: I've worn this with no problem under a Gamma LT, an Alpha FL, and a Stingray jacket (though not at the same time).

if you aren't already a vest enthusiast, this vest will surely win you over...super versatile piece...just got my second one, and was disappointed with the redesigned collar...new collar is slightly taller and lacking integrity, so when partially zipped, the collar has the eighties- preppy- upturned- polo- shirt- collar -look to it...and doesn't layer as neatly under other collars...that aside, still a sick vest, but i preferred the old collar...

I've had this for some years now, and I use it all the time. On a cold summer night or as a midlayer in colder conditions. It's very well made and really durable.

I have vests from North Face, Patagonia and others but this is by far my all time favorite. I wear this constantly and it washes and wears well not to mention lightweight warmth.

i'm like the other poster here.I don't write many reviews but for this vest I had to share.first thing sweat, I refuse to sweat! it took a few years to get the technice down but regulating core temperature is the key. This vest does it.if you are not wearing a pack, unzip the vest and it's like you are not wearing it. if wearing a pack, unzip vest and take off one shoulder and it is like you are not wearing it.If you need warmth throw a wind shirt on over vest. my main activity is hiking and scrambles and this vest has been worn every event for the past year.for winter hiking I wear a phase baselayer and this vest (gloves, toque, face covering, summit layer, come with me). for people who sweat, throwing on this vest when stopping, will keep you warm while letting the sweat evaporate, amazing vest that looks good, fits well, breathes better than other vests due to the mesh side panels, packs down to size of half liter water bottle, has a inside pocket that can hold a 500m platapus and lets me regulate my core temperature with ease .this vest was one of the best purchases for me and was happy to buy it sooner rather than latter.

This vest is simply superb. The manufacture is of the highest quality and it is wearable in a wide range of temperatures (I'm out every day in it). The fit is perfect for me. I am tall (6'4") and slim (182lbs with a 40" chest) and went for a large, as the medium was too figure hugging. There there is a little bit of room around the hem, but since it is under a jacket or tightened with a waist belt there is no problem with draughts. For reference I have an Alpha LT jacket in medium and the two work well together, though the vest hem is slightly longer (good) than the jacket. Get one. You won't regret it.

I was in the market for a new vest and decided to change brands. Always been a customer of Arc'teryx but never owned any of their vest. I am so glad I made the switch. Its well made and this has the power to keep me warm even in the nastiest weather I encounter here in the PNW. I have been wearing this under my wading jacket on the river fishing and its perfect. Freedom of movement with great protection

Of all the Arc pieces I own, I've found that I use my Atom LT Vest the most. I've had this Vest for about a year and have found it to be an incredibly versatile piece of clothing. The Coreloft 60 is just about perfect for "cool weather" (25-50 degrees) activity. If your body "runs hot" like mine you'll find that this vest is just about the best regulator piece out there. It is incredibly light and moves with your body really well (hence it is very comfortable to run in). The Internal pocket is also nice; being well sized and big enough to fit your phone / wallet. My only gripe would be the stretch side panels have sort of "bagged out" after a year of use. Perhaps a more resilient fabric could be used here. Other than that small issue the quality is top notch. For sizing, I am 6'2 / 170 and Large is a good fit. I highly recommended this Vest.

I do not normally write reviews but for this specific purchase I feel I would be doing a disservice to the Arc'Teryx brand that has won my consumer loyalty. This vest has surpassed my expectations. I find clothing hard to find most of the time because I'm tall and thin and in todays society.. tall and thin is not the norm. So I have to be sure to try things on before I buy/order online. Even then there are occasions that I get home and wash my new shirt and it no longer fits like it was made to. This vest is top shelf quality and I could not be more impressed with this brand. The fit is perfect for my body type and active lifestyle. I use this as a base layer when I hunt duck or hogs. The first outing I wore this vest on I did not need my high dollar camo jacket. Simply this vest, a fleece, and my wadders in 30 degree weather. Extremely pleased with my purchase. If you are on the fence and reading this review.. just buy it. You will not regret the decision.

This super compressible and lightweight vest puffs up as soon as it's put on. I was worried it wasn't going to be strong enough, given that the surface fabric is practically gossamer. But with daily wear and no signs of fraying, I can strongly recommend it. Perfect for cramming into a travel bag or climbing pack, it takes up little space yet is instantly warm when put on. Nice hand pockets and soft lining for the chin as well. Would get it again.

Generally I don't wear or like vests. This vest is different. It's well designed, comfortable and as good by itself as it is as a layering piece. It works great as light weight layering/emergency option to keep in your bag when weather conditions are unstable. The fabric is light, soft, and durable. The fleece side panels are great, they add mobility and breathability to the design. Running, backcountry skiing, snow shoeing, hiking, as a baselayer under a shell; it works. It's the only vest I've ever liked, the only one I use. Great piece.

I really like this vest. I really only have three issues, and they're all pretty slight: I wish there were different color options, the lighterweight version of this vest was too slim fitting and this one is a little baggy on me, so I wish there were some fit in between, and as a general complaint with midlayers (not just from arc'teryx) I wish the chest pocket was on the other side. Most jackets and shells have the chest pocket on the left as well, so if you're layering and using those pockets you end up with items stacked all on that one side, rubbing or jostling about as you move, this is especially annoying if you're also wearing a backpack.

The collar is unnecessarily tall - it would be much more useful if the collar fitted snugly under the chin as in the previous (pre-2019) version of this vest. Other than this, the vest is perfect, delivering warmth to your core when you need it in a lightweight and highly packable vest. Would really appreciate an Atom AR vest, for a synthetic alternative to the Cerium LT vest.

Arc'Teryx did a fantastic job with the Atom LT jacket. I absolutely love mine. This is the jacket without the sleeves. It feels great, lightweight, and noticeably warm. It packs small and fit comfortably under my shell and even heavier jackets. I was uncertain over which size to get. I usually fit medium in everything (makes online shopping really easy for me), but I think a small would have worked better for me. I'm 5'10", 165lbs, with an athletic build. The sides are a different material than the front and back; they stretch and flex well to any core movements. Despite this amazing feature, the waist isn't tailored for athletic builds. I recommend getting a snug fit. I won't be exchanging the medium though, it works really well over a thicker sweater under my ski/snowboard jacket (different brand), which strangely doesn't have a lot of room in the sleeves. The material up the neck does not scratch or irritate even after a six-hour hike. Very impressed. The outer material is not very durable. It's a sacrifice for LT (lightweight), I know. My Atom LT jacket has numerous patches for getting snagged on branches and rocks. Please note, it is really, really light. I forget I'm wearing it. This is why I'd hope for just a little extra weight for more durability.
