I bought this jacket after a friend recommended it to me. The quality is amazing and i was not disappointed, I especially like the hood, it hangs over a bit more than usual so that the rain cannot get in the jacket as easily.

Can't get enough of this layer. Great warmth, packable design.

Purchased large atom ar hoody and I admit this coat exceeded my expectations in regards of the appearance compared to online pictures . Very stylish especially the distortion color I purchased. Most importantly, it's an extremely warm parka and fits my 5 "8 frame perfectly. Highly recommended buying.

Took this out last weekend on a four day backpacking trip in 20 degree temps and this jacket kept me warm despite the frost on all my gear. Best jacket I've ever owned. Can't see myself buying anything else. Can't wait to use it more this winter. Tough, durable, lightweight, packs down small, and the zippers are soooo smooth.

I'm 5'0, 100lbs. The XS fits well but if you want room for multiple layers the S might be better for that. This jacket is super warm. I never worry about being cold with this. In freezing weather a pair of mittens and extra layers underneath does great.

I bought this a month ago prior to a 12 day trip to Iceland. The jacket did not disappoint and combined with my Arcteryx Beta AR Jacket I was set for the trip that I just got back on. Incredible products that do what they outline to do!!

I have had this for a couple of weeks, great fit, warm and really well made.

I am very happy to have this jacket because it meets all my needs for city activities. It has good insulation performance and very lightit's rainproof effect surprised me. My friends around me are interested in this jacket because it is really cool on me. I like it so much.

I love my Atom LT. It's a size large with extra room for a layer. I want the AR in a medium but my chest is 41". The size guide size says medium is 40". Will this fit? I'm 5'9, 180, 34 waist, 33" arm length. Hoping to wear with a thin layer. Thanks!

I wanted a jacket that would keep me warm in 30-40 degree weather and this is perfect. The cut is a bit longer and fuller than my other AR parka and it fits perfect. Also, though warm, It is still lightweight.

Bought this a few weeks ago and I love it! Super warm but still light and allows easy movement!

I have a LEAF Atom LT and I knew that was the light weight version, but MAN is this way warmer! Same fit, LOVE the color figment.

I bought this to compliment my Atom LT when the weather gets colder, it is a nice fit over a base layer, if you intend to wear over a bulkier fleece it would probably be an idea to go up a size. I wear mine over a Rho LT or Rho AR and that tends to serve the purpose of keeping me warm, if I need more warmth when stood in a hide I add a shell or down jacket over the top. I have worn this over a long sleeve polo when there is snow on the ground and it has kept me warm. I am 5'7" tall about 135 lb and find the jacket a good fit and the sleeves the right length.

Very happy with purchase! I'm 6'3 175lbs and the size Large fits great I actually have enough room for my fleece arc'teryx half zip, which will keep me warm more than enough for this upcoming winter! The jacket itself is super lightweight but once you put it on there's a surprising amount of warmth and insulation, I find puffers to bulky so this jacket is a breath of fresh air for comfort ability!!!

Bought this jacket back in 2012 and still going strong. My old one is now strictly outdoor use, while the new one is my in-town to outdoor jacket. I love it so much that most of my friends have picked up one or two as well. Love how long it lasts, how the fit is snug and comfortable, and how I can climb in it with ease. If you are on the fence, just buy it. It's worth every penny!

Been wearing Arc'teryx for many, many years now. Have owned a number of different shell jackets, and have also owned numerous Atom LT's and Protons. However, this is the first time buying an Atom AR. I went for the Distortion colour, as I really like the neutral colours that are in trend at the moment. It really suits the style of the jacket well, and I wanted something I can wear as everyday, and have way too much black. The jacket is usual Arc'teryx quality; no complaints here. One thing to note, I am a fraction over 6ft and around 105kg, muscular build. I usually always buy large in Arc'teryx and they have always fit well (Atom LT Hoody, Adahy, Zeta SL, Kyanite Hoody & jacket) but I sent the AR in large back and re-bought in XL. The large did fit, but I felt it was too tight across the stomach. This is maybe because the AR doesn't have the stretch material sides that the LT has. I can't be certain but definitely feel the XL is better. If there was a size inbetween the large and XL, that would have been perfect, but the XL is the better of two available options

I cannot say enough good about this jacket. I hesitated for a while because of the price. I am SO GLAD I just bit the bullet and got it. when it’s cold, and the wind is blowing, you won’t even notice. very light in weight but deceivingly warm and protective. I put it through some tough and constant wear this past winter and it still looks new. highly recommend.

The AR Hoody is exactly what I was looking for. Large fit well on my athletic 65" 170# frame. I am a typically cold-bodied person yet this jacket kept me quite warm during very windy weather. I was torn between several different insulated jackets as I wanted compactable yet very warm with no bulky puffiness. Atom AR is perfect! I am very happy. The Paradox color is the perfect sage green. It looks a little grey in dark spaces; brightens right up in the sun. Thank you!

A warm winter jacket that does a great job of keeping out the cold. The fabric has a great feel and look to it and has proved to be durable for heavy winter use. The level of synthetic insulation is perfect for what I was after and it certainly beats down for performance in damp to wet conditions encountered most of the time in the UK. The under arm panels increase breathability when you're working hard in the mountains, without sacrificing any warmth. The cuffs are comfortable and I prefer them to the standard Velcro adjustable types (which I never adjust). The hood can be a bit of a pain to adjust when conditions are particularly poor and getting this is crucial if you're not wearing a helmet as it is big.

I bought this jacket about a month ago and luckily the weather in Maryland has been colder than usual so I got to try it out. This jacket is AMAZING!!! It weighs about a tenth of my old winter jacket but keeps me so much warmer. Worked well in repelling water during a light drizzle (haven't had any other significant rain to test it more stringently). SOOOOO glad I made this purchase and highly recommend! I'm 6 ft, 185 pounds, and the XL fits perfectly.

Ordered a number of different jackets including Thorium AR Hoody, Fission SV and a RAB...and in the end the Atom AR Hoody was my first pick. I thought maybe it would only work for shoulder winter seasons but it was great all winter. Many days just a short sleeved shirt, some days I added a light vest or light long sleeve pullover and I was never cold. A large fit perfect (6'2" 185lbs), good length arms, easy on and off hood.
