I bought these recently and was extremely surprised at the lack of arch support in them. I pulled some insoles out of a pair of Merrells that I wasn't wearing much, and now they are my favorite shoe, I never want to take them off. BUT, it didn't come with arch support.

I love the shoes but as a person with narrow feet, these are too wide. My feet slide forward with my toes hitting the front which makes these uncomfortable.

Arrived 12/9/20. Noticed bald/worn spots on the outside toe box of footwear and on creases on top of shoe where it bends. Never abused outside. All outside wear is from foot touching the inside of the shoe. So weird! The shoe fits GREAT and is stable. I walk 1-2 miles outside and also wear around the house. This should not have happened at all let alone on the outside of the shoe! Inside foot liner of the right shoe is bent and causes some trouble about staying in place. I have photos taken today. Rating 2-3 stars, but the support is amazing!

Sad because I had to return them. Nice and soft fluffy interior but were too big inside. I am a 9 Wide. But this is the first time I put on this size in any of the shoes that was 'swimming' on my foot and therefore couldn't get a grip in them to walk properly without tripping. Years ago I had a pair, and lived in them all day trekking everywhere. These felt completely different. Nice, soft, cushy, but no stability inside to maintain hold on foot while walking.

Bought beginning of winter. Love the sturdiness and arch support. The fleece lining removes too easily. Should be glued or at least recommend how to keep in place. Most annoying shoe ever from Merrell.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE SHOES BUT THIS YEAR THEY CHANGED THEM. THEY HAVE LESS FLEECE LINING AND DONT SEEM TO BE AS SUPPORTIVE AS THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD VERSION. MUCH MORE WARMER AND SUPPORTIVE!!

I too bought in the hopes of using these exclusively indoors. The foot bed has changed and the overall structure is less supportive. The feel is sloppy and too long, my heel is no longer secure in the shoe, I will be returning them

These shoes used to be perfect. I bought a pair a few years ago and love them. The new ones I bought are not snug, 1/2 size too big, and seem to be cheaper quality. I'm very disappointed. I was looking forward to another pair

Very disappointed that the construction has changed since I last purchased. There is no nice footbed with arch support anymore. Just flat cardboard under the fleece. So uncomfortable! I am returning the shoes.

I recently bought and returned a pair of Encore Ice 4. Apparently Merrell changed the design/style (no longer has the stitching at the top of the shoe, which makes a better fit). This change in design/style results in the shoe being too wide resulting in my foot slipping and sliding back and forth. I ordered a 7.5 medium, my normal shoe size which is also the size I've ordered since my first pair. Needless to say, I'm extremely disappointed that Merrell changed the design and won't be ordering them again. If I could give the design no stars I certainly would.
