I haven't had much time to really try these but from just putting them on and testing them on a carpet they are perfect. I am in. an electric scooter and suffer a great deal of even summertime in Florida from neuroapthy related freeze in the feet in addition to the pain . Ordinarily I would purchase only Birkenstock softbeds. I really like these for the warmth cushion and IMO they happen to be really cute.

The wide width option makes the difference for me. In the past I had picked up this style of Merrill’s in TJMaxx in a size 7 . Even though they were a snug fit, I thought the lining would wear down enough to where the shoes would fit better. That did not happen and the shoes were never comfortable and my heel actually was not snug in the shoe. This year I decided to look for this style on Zappos and was so happy to see it available in a wide width! The 6.5 W fit perfectly, the shoes are comfortable for all day wear which was most amazing since I honestly only used them in the past for a quick slide on winter shoe to take the dog out! One thing to note ( which does not bother me) the lining does not feel as dense as it was in the previous pairs I have owned - though perhaps my perception on that is skewed because the width of my earlier pairs was too narrow. IMHO, these are great winter shoes!

Order your true measured size. I am a size 8.5. I usually always have to size up to 9, but not in these! So warm and comfortable. I wear them as slippers for the extra shoe-like support they give. You can walk around all day in these and not get foot fatigue like slippers.

This is my second pair of Merrell Encore Ice 4. They are the most comfortable and versatile shoe that I've ever had. And I'm glad that the company uses wool instead of shearling. Unfortunately it's been so long since I've purchased a pair that I I had forgotten my original pair was an 8. I'm usually a 8-1/2 so that's the size I ordered. I have a wide foot so the width was perfect, except that I was swimming in the 8-1/2. Instead of reordering a size down and having to go through the return process all over again if that size doesn't fit, I will go to the Merrell flagship store close to where I live and do the fit in person. All in all I highly recommend these soft and cozy all 'round clog as a warm winter shoe which I wear sock free; however, although they have great treading on the bottom caution against wearing them in ice and snow.

The shoes fit perfect and very comfortable. I have neuropathy so this shoes are very comfortable.

These are wonderful. I use them as slippers but they can be worn outside. Great shock absorption for my back. Feel safe and stable walking in them. Will be buying a second pair...

For many years the suede version of these shoes has been my favorite inside house shoe. Now this one is my favorite to wear outside the house in winter. So comfortable even with my insoles in them for plantar fasciitis. I just LOVE them!

I always wear a 7.5. I ordered a 7 based on the reviews and had to return for a 6.5. I would order a full size down. My feet are narrow, but the length of where my heel hit and how it felt when I walked convinced me to order a 6.5. Now I am completely satisfied with the Merrell Encore Ice 4.
