I am an avid runner, and used these constantly. i realized after just a few runs that this shoes gave me shin splints when I never had that complaint with my Asics. I stuck it out though and figured i'd get my wear out of them, but the supports in the heels have completely broken through the fabric and dig into my achilles tendon, making them unwearable. its a huge bummer personally because i spent good money on them, and people talked up this brand a lot. i can say they were at least really comfortable cushioning-wise at the beginning, so they have that going for them. besides that, i would highly not recommend buying these. And for reference, I purchased these shoes in mid August, and they heel supports broke through the fabric by early November.

These shoes are so wide making it hard for me to run in. Very disappointed in this product.

Love the color, and podiatrist recommended these, but I noticed knee pain for the first time running in these. I tried twice. If it's too late to return, I guess I have really pretty and pricey dog walking shoes

This shoe has an extended sole past the heel box which I did not expect.

I really wanted to love these shoes, but they did not work for me. The sole is large, clunky, and very stiff. There was very little cushioning as they are very firm.

The heel is much shorter then in a Clifton 6 or 7. Not comfortable and slip out easily

I am used to wearing the Clifton 3 and 5 but decided to give these a try. I am almost always a true size 8 and all my Cliftons were size 8. These feel a half size too short due to my second toe being longer than my first. I already wore them hoping to break them in so now I can’t return them. I walk 3 miles a day up and down hills and the Clifton Edge was excruciating on my toes. I guess I’ll just use them to run errands. Very disappointed. Not sure I’ll buy this brand again

I liked the style and color the most, but when I put them on, they were extremely uncomfortable. I also, tried running in them as well, and they did not have near enough cushion. I returned them after my ankles had also swollen after wearing them for 1 day.

I just did not like the style of this shoe. When I held it up to my normal running shoes it was at least 50% wider and longer. Looked and felt weird to me. They were lightweight and with that extra width I guess they'd give extra stability if that's what you're looking for.

Doesn't have the same level of cushioning in the soles or within the shoe as previous HOKAs a poor remake.

I only buy Hoka due to having had major back surgery, CRPS, and I need excellent quality sneakers with alot of support to help me walk safely and to keep my pain level down. The pair I had before cost around 350.00 and they were fabulous. This new pair has very little cushion and arch support which I need both! So, I am basically disappointed in this new pair.

I tried on the edge and was intimidated by the "edge; I am 77 years old and the thought of going down the stairs scared me into exchanging these for the clifton 7. Balance is a big problem. I was impressed by the speed with which I sent these back and received the new shoes! The edge was tight around the middle and uncomfortable for me.

I wanted to love these shoes. They were a replacement for an old pair of Cliftons that are my most comfortable and favorite running shoes, but no longer have treads on the bottom. Other than the name, these shoes are completely different. They are wonderfully lightweight, have great lateral stability and excellent impact protection for the bones and joints of the lower extremities and spine. Unfortunately, they also have a fairly rigid built in heel cup that my old Cliftons did not have. This "cup" on the right side only ended up cutting into the skin just below the lateral malleolus (ankle bone) during a 5 mile non competitive run. I had to stop my run due to pain and bleeding and could not wear any type of shoe other than a slide for a week until the area healed. I am hoping I can exchange them for a pair I can actually run in.

This shoe is hard on the feet-it has the most flimsy insole i have ever seen in a shoe-there is nothing to it-no cushioning, no support-very poor. Nice try Hoka, better luck next time

I don't find the tongue of the shoe to be comfortable. Because of it's stiffness, it digs into my ankle.

I gave these shoes a 2 only because of the cushion and bounce. I am a 6.5-7 in most shoes. However, I usually up my running shoes a half size based on the brand and reviews. I got these in a 7 1/2 as I normally would my running shoes and they were huge. And I don't mean huge as in inside the shoe and foot room. That part was ok. The shoe itself is just too big. When I put them on they just do not go well with my skinny legs and short frame. They're cute as far as that new edgy futuristic running shoe look. But they're just too big. Aside from the too big look, they feel too big. I feel like I am going to trip over how big the shoe is. I took them on one run and they were just not for me.

I figured a Hoka was a Hoka and ordered this shoe. Wrong. It is almost a size larger. With the extended heel, it looked like a gunboat. It's gaviotta for me.

I was really excited for the Clifton Edge rollout, and I feel like I should've known better. These were unforgiving and stiff with none of the suggested plushness implied by clifton. I can't imagine feeling comfortable in these shoes in a walk to my mailbox let alone a road run.

The tongue was made of hard plastic and was too Long. Therefore, it dug in to the top of my feet. I could not even take a few steps because of the pain. Otherwise, the shoe looked good, it was lightweight and comfortable. It just hurt too much to walk so it was a non-starter.
