I have previously purchased Hoka shoes (carbon x 2) and found them amazing (most comfortable shoes ever), unfortunately the Clifton Edge is not even close from a comfortability perspective. They are still cute though.

The ledge off the back at the heel is quite extreme. Way too big. I was afraid I would catch something on it while walking around…
I may have gotten the wrong size so that might’ve had something to do with it but the inside felt a bit thin and as if my foot was pitched too far forward onto the ball of my feet. This review is coming from a very unsophisticated non-runner…

Love the look and style, but I have other Hokas that offer much more support and cushion than these do. Sadly due to my neuropathy, I had to return. If you don't need extra cushion, they're great, but otherwise I recommend other Hoka styles

I'm sure if I wore a thinner sock or purchased a wide version, they would have been great. Returned due to the fact I didn't want to deal with remembering thinner socks.

The arch was not what I like. I love my Hoka's. I have the Clifton 6, Clifton 7, Carbon X and love them all. These are not comparable.

Love love love the color of the eggshell shoe! The heel was definitely a bit too long for my personal preference. I did size down a half size from my normal 9 to a 8.5. Extremely comfortable upon trying on but unfortunately a return for me.

I badly wanted the Clinton 7 shoes but they were no longer available at Noka, so I settled for these. But I realized I would not be happy with something I really didn't want. The return was so simple and easy and I really appreciate that so much.

Love the color, hate the giant soles. These almost look like clown shoes. They are almost a half size too long on me but fit okay in the width. The soles are so big that feel like skiis.
At any rate, not great insole support for arch or heel. I'm an injured runner with all sorts of heel spurs, fasciitis and strained feet. Got these for a casual, go around the town in style but NOPE.
Check out Clifton's or other styles from Hoka that offer much better support and cushion.

The shoe was lovely to look at....but when I put it on the toe box felt a bit weird. I shrugged it off as a new shoe. I actually have the Arahhi5 and they fit like a glove right from the box. As I proceeded to just walk (not even run) the middle toe felt pinched. I kept thinking it would go away but after a few hours of just walking around they gave me excruciating pain in that middle toe....sadly I had to return them. By the way, my feet are not wide...more on the narrow side.

The tongue is scratchy and gave me blisters on both feet. I do prefer no show socks so perhaps had I been wearing different socks it wouldn't have happened. The shoe was comfortable but just awkward with the "tail" behind the heel. I couldn't get past the way they made my feet look so huge and weird so I returned them. Should get my Bonde 7's today!

I hated the look of all that rubber far behind the end of the actual shoe. It looked so strange to me. I love my older Hoka One One w/o that added rubber. It was definitely a "no go" for me in terms of the styling.

These were my first pair of Hokas. I have been a distance runner for 10+ years so I have tried many different shoes. I was excited for these and my half marathon training, however they're a little too loose for my foot. I like my shoes to start off a little snug and let them loosen up as they age and gain mileage. The problem with these is how loose they started out, which I could start to feel shin splints develop with only 20 miles on these shoes, and thicker socks aren't helping. If these actually fit me I am sure they would be an excellent running shoe, but I can't gauge that because I am on the smaller shoe size (5) I can't purchase a smaller pair - which is what I would recommend to any of you planning to purchase these; try half a size smaller.
