My big, old rain boots developed a crack in them and I have been looking for a less-clunky pair of waterproof boots. I like the style of Embers -- I also bought the Re-Embers -- and think these will serve me well for rainy day commutes. I bought the size 10 and they fit well, though there's not a lot of extra room.

I absolutely love these boots. They are so comfortable, they keep my feet warm and dry, but not too hot. They are stylish and I get many compliments on them!

These boots are perfect: sturdy, fully waterproof and super cool looking. I love them!

Feel in love with these the first time I saw them and love them even more with how comfortable the are! Great quality and overall great buy!

These are great! Lightweight, waterproof, and the fit was on point. Not sure if I'm ready to get them dirty!

I bought the black pair. I have worn them twiceall day while at work, they are very comfortable. I haven't Hiked in them yet so not sure how well they hold up for that, but so far I am enjoying them. I did put an inner sole in them for more support of my arch.

A little stuff but so cute. Would hike for miles and miles in them.

Love these boots. I have lots of room to wiggle my toes. They feel secure and keep my feet toasty warm. My one complaint is that within 4 weeks, the loop at the back of the left boot is totally frayed. The other one is fine. When/if that loop breaks, these will be a pain to put on.

Fit improves with wear. The acid test is this weekend when I will be in these boots on mountain trails all day. Most shoes make my feet hurt under these circumstances. I am hoping my meeting Tevas will not.

I love the look and cush of these! An excellent daily wear boot. Not the sturdiest for a big mountain hike (a bit of a lack of arch support), but good traction. I did have some rubbing around the ankles - in order to have the boots laces tight enough, it does pull them tighter around the ankles. I alternated with other boots for a few days, and it wasn't a problem to break them in.

The comfort of the Ember Commute is exactly why I wanted to buy from Teva! I did get some rubbing on my heals so really had to break them in. But every time I walk, I feel like I'm bouncing on air. Plus! I love the colors!

I got these a few weeks ago. I bought them to stay active in the rainy season and winter season. At first I was worried I made a big mistake when I was breaking them in. They hurt terribly... but after about a week they are the most comfortable hiking boots/shoes I've ever worn. I have gotten into the habit of wearing them every day. Great support for my knees. Only issue is they hit weird on the top of my ankles and that has been remedied by wearing thicker socks or loosening the laces a little bit but that compromises the snug fit of the shoe... But, over all, I'm happy about this purchase.

I got the black color and I do like them. They are a bit more loose than expected but decent. The strings to tie are just way too thin. I will have to change them out as they don't feel secure without a double knot- which sucks to get undone when you want to take them off after walking or working all day. I will not lace the upper part around the ankle as it feels too restrictive being laced. I have thin ankles so its just design and fit. They are quite cute and can be worn with a multitude of outfits. I saw these and just kept wanting to get them. No regrets, just need to find some new laces.

I officially went on a rock climbing hike the other day and I can confirm the shoe works great on heavy-duty voyages. However, it is incredibly painful to break these shoes in. My ankles are still scabbed and were bleeding. The part of the shoe that is rough is the back of the ankle. At first I wore them around the house to break them in and got bleeding blisters on the back of my ankles. After that healed I went on a hike with hiking socks and special bandages to cover the area. Unfortunately, I got a second round of bleeding blisters on my ankle on the areas the bandaid didn't cover. It sucks. I've been wearing the shoes around my house to break them in and I hope that I won't have this problem anymore once I do. However, even wearing the shoes around my house produces the same problem. Aside from the painful breaking in process the shoes offer great support (I have plantar fasciitis) and the sole is great. They also have great grip when climbing tricky outdoor surfaces.
