REALLY wanted to love this coat but the fit is awful. I look like a square. Too tight in the shoulders and huge everywhere else. Will sadly, be returning.

Heavy coat. Warm, but did not fit well. Too tight on my chest. Needed to return it.

The most uncomfortable thing I have ever worn, helps with the cold but part of me would rather freeze than be that uncomfortable and restricted

When I bought my NF OUTER BORO PKA coat 3 weeks ago, I was super excited I thought even was expensive for a coat, it was worthly, but after few weeks of used the coat, I notice the feathers come out so easy, and all my sueters are full of feathers, seems like I sleep with chickens in a henhouse. I can handle with it, I will return to the store. Made me sad because I love the others parts of the coat. BUT THE LINING IS VERY POOR QUALITY.

This coat has a very narrow chest design. I'm 5'7" 160lbs 34D 29/size 8-10 in jeans, athletic build, size medium in most jackets but this one was too tight and restricting around the chest. Anywhere else fit fine. Size large was very baggy in other areas apart from the chest. I would advise people with larger chest to consider other jackets or size up if you don't mind the extra roominess elsewhere. It's such a pity because the coat is very warm and made from high quality materials.

After spending so much money, I am disappointed that the down feathers poke out of the interior lining as it is not well made. It is a hassle when I want to wear dark colored sweaters. I think for the price of this coat, feathers should not be poking out.

Nice looking coat, but the inside lining is very thin and cheap and the down insulation is constantly poking out of the interior lining. I prefer to wear dark-colored cashmere sweaters during the winter but they have become entangled with small down feathers and a real pain to remove. Due to this problem, when I wear this coat, I can only wear light colored sweaters, otherwise I'll look like a slob with tiny white feathers stuck all over my sweaters. Very frustrating! Otherwise, it is a warm coat and keeps me warm in Maine. Do not buy this coat if you mostly own dark winter clothing. I wish that after spending so much money on a coat, that the inside lining wasn't so cheap. The fit is also odd as others have pointed out. The chest is too small, which makes you have to order a size up and then makes your hips look too big.

Not too warm, I have to use a hoodie under the jacket and the coldest temperature in this winter in NY has been around 35 degrees.

I walk a lot during the winter and wanted a coat that would keep me warm during the frigid wind chills and temps. I seen this coat got great ratings so I decided to spend the money and get an expensive coat. Well first of all I wish I would have read the return policy before purchasing. I tried it on and the arms are snug which is uncomfortable because I wear a lot of bulky tops. But figured I would deal with it. Next, I had to wash the coat before I wore it because it had an awful smell to it. The fur lining around the hood had to be washed twice because of the order. So then I wear it outside and I wonder who designed this coat. The body of the coat is relaxed fit which is what I wanted but the neck is big and the arms are snug. I still have to wear a scarf around my neck otherwise the wind gets in. The hood only fits tight around your face with the faux fur lining on it. If you take it off it's very loose and your head and ears are not protected. The only time this coat keeps me warm is when there is no wind. This coat is not worth the price and to see that if I tried to return it I may not get the full value I paid since I washed and wore it.

I have an New Outerboroughs Parka from 4 or 5 years ago that I love, and this coat has a way different fit. It's narrow in the shoulders, has small arm holes, and has an oversized body.

I returned this jacket. It was very big, not at all
comfortable, and heavy.

I was so disappointed in this coat. I needed something warm, that would block the air from my face, which is the only reason I purchased this coat. The faux fur trims snaps apart from the coat with the slightest turn or twist. I would say that it is only for looks and did nothing to protect my face, as it snaps apart from the coat far too easily. Cold air also comes in between the snaps. A large whole also appeared in the ride pocket after a couple of weeks of use.

What does the 550 on the sleeve stand for? 550 seconds total to manufacture this cheap thin coat. This coat belongs in the trash. Anybody who is positively rating this coat is either getting paid or they've never had a good quality coat

Bought this for my daughter who lives in NYC specifically because of The North Face quality and warranty. Jokes on us. Back seam of coat completely separated (workmanship not torn) It will be over 120 days (Nov - February)before North Face will respond with either a repaired or replaced 2 yr old coat. So Basically no coat this winter unless we buy a new one for the interim. Exactly the opposite of why we buy from North Face.

Was looking for a staple very warm winter coat that I could use for years, however the fabric and fur simply looked cheap when I recieved it in the mail, something I didn't expect for over $400. It also didn't feel nearly as warm as a parka this expensive should. As a thinner, athletic body type, it also was unflattering on my figure, which again, for $400 and something I plan to wear as mainstay for years, I wasn't happy with.
