I bought this for my mom after purchasing two for my daughters last year. Mom is hard to shop for so when I heard her express how much she liked the girls' coats, I was assured that this Christmas gift would be spot on.

A few years ago, I got a NF Triple C. It was a great, warm coat. However, these puffy coats have a thin material and can too easily get poked and start losing down. I got this Outer Borough Parka as a replacement and boy am I happy with it! The coat feels very durable - I'm not afraid to walk by trees or possible snags like my other coat. It's super warm. It says waterproof, but I have yet to be able to test that feature. The storm mittens are cool. Tons of pocket space. This coat is an upgrade, even if I miss the length of my old coat - the hood and other features outweigh the loss.

This products is great for the cold weather . Very cozy and warm.

This is the perfect jacket for a North Dakota winter! It is so warm and still very stylish. I love all the pockets. The waist band really adds to the jacket, makes it look less plain compared to other North Face jackets.

I love the look of this jacket because it has shape to it but more importantly, the warmth for the weight. It isn't overly bulky but provides great warmth!

She wears this coat in the winter time. It keeps her very warm and the material is comfortable. Everything is good, but the zipper occasionally gets stuck.

I had come into the store looking for a warmer jacket, because I travel around the city and do a lot of walking. This was in store in size larger and I tried it on for a few minutes and began to get really warm just in the store. It was a good sign for me. Before this purchase I have had one other North Face jacket in the past and continue to use it after 12 years. I base my decision on the quality and life of the one I already have and I know this new one will last me many years. Worth the investment. Thank you.

Perfect for walking my dog in the cold city! Super warm. Sleeves are almost always long on me, so this jacket was no different. The buttons are hard to close and the bottom one will click against each other if you don't snap it closed. BUT all the pockets! Hood is also awesome but muffles my hearing so it's a bit of a problem when I walk my dog. All in all, great, super warm, and flattering enough for a big winter coat.

This coat is my jam. I LOVE it! I throw it on after my swims at the pool and it keeps me insanely warm from the frigid cold. I also work out in the community so this coat is breathable and not bulky whatsoever. This coat is a keeper!

This coat is a great for truly bitter cold. It is warm with well designed pockets and zipper to be able to protect your neck from the cold, attached hat is a great feature. Coat is quite heavy, but I think it needs to be to provide its features. Looks sharp on.

I use the coat on a daily basis and absolutely love it. No other coat has even come close to the level of warmth this North Face coat gives. I can go outside even in the dead of winter and I will feel absolutely no cold. This coat is truly amazing.

I am so pleased that I bought this parka. I wore this coat during the cold snap in Chicago last week and it kept me warm and comfortable. I love the built in mittens. This parka is very flattering and is not too puffy. I bought the Arctic II parka as well but found this to be a nicer coat (more fitted, better hat). I am 5' 4" and 120 pounds. Size small fit perfectly. Best purchase of the season! Highly recommend. Thank you TNF!

I really love this jacket. I reside in NYC very close to the water and this jacket keeps me very warm. I can even leave it open and be warm.

Like this parka the quality is great. I moved from south to PA, I think this item is good enough for keeping me warm this winter. And I think it looks good as a winter gear. I'm 52 and 88 lbs and I like its length. It won't be too large for me.

Use this jacket for cold weather.

After reading the reviews I made a decision to purchase this beautiful parka and I don't regret it. This parka is well made with great quality materials, very warm and stylish. I'm 5f7in and 138lb and I ordered size M. It fits perfectly and roomy enough to wear a sweater under. The sleeves are little bit on the long side but it's ok for the winter weather. Thank you TNF for great quality products.

I bought this jacket for a winter trip to Canada! I'm from Southern California and searched for a while for the warmest (and cutest!) winter coat. Based on the warmth ratings, I ended up deciding between this one and the Arctic Parka- I chose this because I felt it was a bit more stylish :) I tried it on, and I love it! I haven't worn it in the cold yet, but I couldn't keep it on for more than a minute in my house because I got so hot! I usually wear a size small or medium, and I got a medium. It fits, but isn't as roomy as I was expecting. I think I'll still keep this size and be able to layer underneath, but it's pretty form-fitting. I love the dark grey color, the faux-fur hood, and all the pockets!

I bought this jacket for an upcoming Green Bay and Chicago visit when I noticed the temperatures were going to get to 30F and below. Not used to the weather, being from South Florida, so needed something to keep me warm. It fits to my build. It was a little tight with one layer of clothing at the chest area (34C) but was comfortable nonetheless. In Green Bay and Chicago, I was kept warm when it was snowing. It is bulky and a heavier coat but no complaints because of the warmth.

I just got this jacket and no regrets. I was a little worried about the price, but it is worth it. I have another northface from about 8 years ago, but it was not as warm as I'd like . This is very warm. The insulated collar and hood is perfect. I like the fleece lined pockets. I think this will last for years and years. I got a large and I am 5'7'' 160 pound, 32 chest, but large hips. It fits perfectly. I live in Chicago so it will be perfect.

It is very heavy but I love it . It's so stylish and I'm looking forward to using it in this NY freezing weather .
