Is a good jacket to have with Michigan weather.

I am always cold and have been looking for a winter coat that will keep me warm, even when walking my dog in the early morning in the northeast. This coat is perfect. They have really thought of everything with this coat. Among the features I like are the removable fur along the hood, all of the pockets, including the ones that are placed exactly where I want to put my hands, and the bottoms of the sleeves that can wrap around to cover hands. I loved this coat so much that I got one for my mom who complains about being cold more than I do. She also loves it and isn't complaining now! I didn't love the gray, so I got the taupe. I got my mom the black. I got the medium, which is what the size chart said and the fit is spot on. I got my mom the small. She says it's a tiny bit tight for her liking, but not to the point that she wanted to exchange it. Finally, I tried on most of the coats around $400 or less at the North Face store and settled on this one. I plan to wear it for many winter to come.

Every day cold weather wear. Very stylish can throw on with anything and super warm

Very warm and comfortable. Definitely worth the investment if you're living in a colder area of the country!

Everyday winter parka

I'll use this for the cold weather.

For reference I am 40 years old, 162 pounds and 5'-6". I had a baby 7 months ago so my waist isn't back to normal yet. I bought a size large going mostly off my hip size. I'm glad I did because the fit is perfect! I searched long and hard for a coat that would meet up to my VERY PICKY must haves. My arms are longer than most and I can't stand a coat, sweater, or shirt that's sleeves are too short. The inner fleece sleeves extend a couple inches past the coat making it perfect for me. I don't like boxy, masculine looking coats. This one actually has shape to it and fits my curves. Win, win! I NEED a coat that will actually fit, look feminine AND keep me warm. I live a mile up in the Northern Rocky Mountains and FREEZE in the winter. Not anymore thanks to this well designed and made coat! I'm sold! I'll be saving up to buy my daughter's coats from The North Face! Thank you The North Face for this awesome coat!

This jacket arrived today and I was impressed from the moment I hoped the box. It looked and felt like a good warm coat for upstate NY weather. I'm slim and I was worried about bulk, but the coat fit perfectly. I bought an xs and I'm 5'4 and 110lbs. I wore it outside today and it was a warm 30 degrees, but I could tell that it will be my warmest, most attractive coat ever! Northface you did not disappoint. When im out walking my dogs in the early am freezing zero degrees, I'll be warm!

Perfect gift

Snow shoeing in the park or a quick trip to the store. This coat is light weight and not bulky but still keeps me warm and dry through the many different types of weather I experience living in the Pacific Northwest.

This coat is so warm and wind resistant. The fit is complimentary to your form and it has good pockets. It's great for my work commute but also when I go snowboarding. Love it- no reservations- it's perfect.

For work

I absolutely love this coat. It fits true to size and is very fitting but doesn't feel restricted. It is so warm too! I have tried so many different coats and most of them make me look like a marshmallow but this one is very flattering.

I've been looking for a quality winter jacket for ages and am glad to say that my search is over! I'm a person that gets cold easily in sub-40 F degree weather and I live in the NYC area. I'm also very conscious of keeping my head/face warm as well. This jacket is true to size and I ordered size S (I have an athletic build 130 lbs, 5'4") though it is a bit long on the bottom, but I think that's what a parka is meant to be like. I like the side straps that pulls the jacket in and creates a thinner look and I LOVE the sleeves that convert into semi-mittens when it gets cold out. This jacket truly does block the wind and sometimes I even sweat when I walk around for too long despite it being cold outside.

I bought the jacket for my wife as a Christmas present. We moved from southern California to the Pacific Northwest and she needed a warm, stylish, dry jacket. She already had a North Face down bomber style jacket that worked great but didn't have the styling that I knew she was looking for. This jacket fit the bill perfectly! It fits her perfectly! She is 5'9 and always has problems with sleeves, the large fits her like it was custom tailored just for her. I would recommend this jacket to any woman looking for a great looking jacket that will keep you warm and dry on those cold and wet Pacific Northwest winter days and nights.

Great coat! A little heavy but worth it for the warmth.

I love the fit of this jacket! It is a heavy weight jacket but that's the purpose of it, to keep you warm in bitter cold days. I read some reviews that mentioned feathers coming out from the lining and Yes they do come out and YES it is annoying BUT an easy solution is hairspray and you no longer deal with feathers getting stuck on your clothing. This warm parka doesn't make me feel boxy, and I love the waist detail.

This jacket is warm, and very stylish. I am 5'3' , 130 lbs and ordered a medium and it is the right size. It's perfect with a sweater, etc. on. I also love the length! I needed something that was longer, and this is perfect. Love it, am very happy with my purchase.
