I bought this coat because I was looking for a coat to wear ice fishing with my boyfriend. But I also didn't want a coat that was only meant for ice fishing...So I was looking for a coat that was very warm. This coat is very warm. I live in Michigan so it is good in degrees in the teens. I haven't tested it out in any lower temps but I do think it would still be super warm. The size is true to size. I got a medium so I could layer. I would say it's big on be but I bought it knowing I usually am a small.

I am 5'6 and around 125 lbs and ordered the size S. I knew this jacket had a relaxed fit which is exactly how it fits and looks on me. It's heavy when you pick it up but it doesn't feel that way when I wear it (if that makes sense lol). It has kept me warm through the cold weather, high winds, and heavy rain. Water dries quickly and the coat is sturdy and keeps me so warm!! I got the olive color which is so pretty, I wanted a color that wouldn't easily get dirty. Although the coat isn't fitted, I care more about how it keeps me warm and that even if I get in my car when it's freezing outside I don't need to turn the heat on sometimes because the jacket has kept me toasty. The thumb holes are a plus and I love the pockets. I do wish the zippers were thicker though as the jacket is heavy so I feel that I have to be careful when zipping to avoid breaking it. I haven't worn it around the city for casual walking around, more so for everyday commutes and going to work. It may be too big to carry and annoying to wear around the mall or while going out, but would be great for shopping at an outlet or walking around a city when you're mostly outside. I do think this jacket is worth it especially if you live in a really cold / wet area!!

I was pleasantly surprised by how well this jacket fits and how comfortable it is. I love the color Pomegranate! It is not as heavy as I thought and the suspenders inside are a nice addition to make it feel lighter. It is the WARMEST coat I have ever owned and perfect for those in colder climates. I'm about 5'8 and 145lbs and the medium fit perfect. It wasn't too snug on the shoulders for me and I don't think it looked as boxy as the picture. I take my dog for long walks and its comfortable during that whole time. It never feels too heavy or constricting. My only CON is the zipper. I've had trouble with it getting stuck at the bottom and not connecting to the other side properly and then I have to pull it down. I feel like I'm going to break it. For such an expensive coat, the zipper is very cheap. Other than that, I know I will have this one for a long time.

This jacket is SO WARM AND COMFORTABLE! But the fit is a little strange. It's definitely more of a loose baggy fit. It's still cute my only downside is I wish the waist was fitted just a little. I would recommend going down a size. I'm 5'7 119 pounds size 0/2 I'm always a small in northface I ordered a small and definitely could have gone with xsmall. I wore this today with the inside jacket of my tri climate jacket and still had plenty of room. I'm always extremely cold in the winter in NH and this is the only Northface jacket I've found to keep me warm! I love that the sleeves are longer. That's always my problem with jackets so this s perfect. The sleeves also have thumb holes. Overall I'm Pretty happy. I would have gotten the article parka but it didn't qualify for the medical discount. Thank you guys for offering us that discount that was so awesome! Overall great jacket!

Just got this intaupe and love the dark olive color. I was worried about sizing since people mentioned it was too tight in the shoulders and too roomy in the middle. I'm 5'7 , 125 lbs, with average to broad shoulders and the small is spot on for wearing a thin sweater underneath.

Size/Color -Small/Gray Overall Fit -I am 5 foot 2 inches. -I weigh 150 lbs with most weight in the bottom half. -While standing, the jacket zips just past my nose. While standing, the jacket zips past my eyes. -Jacket is slightly big where I can wear a bigger sweatshirt/layers under the jacket. -However, I think the XS would have been too tight. Wearing experience -I wore the jacket a few times now doing different activities from ice fishing in upper Wisconsin to walking my dog around Milwaukee, WI. The range of temperatures have been from 40-15 degrees Fahrenheit. Pros -SUPER WARM (warmest jacket I have ever owned by far) I found myself the warmest I have ever been while ice fishing and was able to take off my sweatshirt layer (I still had a long sleeve base layer on) -When walking my dog when it is 30 degrees Fahrenheit, my upper body was super warm and lower half that the jacket didn't cover was cold. -Soft and comfortable material -Color matches display from website -Hood is insulated -There are two zippers so you can unzip the bottom which makes sitting in a vehicle much easier or just bending down in general. -At the end of the sleeves, there is an extra layer of soft fabric that has a hole for your thumbs. - 4 pockets, 2 by the waist on each side and 2 on the upper chest on each side. -Zippers are solid and easy to use with bulky gloves. Cons -I can feel some of the feathers poking me. -Slightly long in length for my height. -When the top part of the jacket is unzipped, the two flaps on the two sides do not stay outward. -The fur detaches with 5 buttons and does not create a solid seal. I found when wearing the fur while windy, the wind will blow between the hood and the added fur blowing right in your face. -The pockets are a decent size, but my Iphone 12 Pro will sit straight up in the pocket and it is difficult to sit down without adjusting where my phone is.

Received this a a Christmas gift from my daughter. Love it! Comfortable, warm, not too bulky. I ordered a large in order to fit over layers and it fits like it. Highly recommend.

It's amazing in cold weather, so comfortable and keeps me warm! Fits great, I am plus size and found to be quite well on me.

I'm super happy with this coat. I really needed something that would keep me warm in the winter. I ordered my usual size and it fit me well. I don't feel like it looks boxy on me but the middle doesn't cinch in. At the time of my purchase the black color wasn't available in my size, so I went with pomegranate and I am glad I did. It's is a really pretty shade and stylish. Thank you TNF for offering discounts for Frontline workers. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to snatch up a great coat and with a discount. Northface has always been my go to for winter products.

Love this coat. Its warm and very flattering. It definitely has a boxy, oversized fit, which is perfect to go over all the boxy oversized sweaters I wear pretty much everyday. Lol. I live in Saskatoon, SK and I imagine this will be my go to jacket for the really cold snaps we get here. Its a bit heavy for everyday use for me, so I have a lightweight puffer that I also wear, but it will definitely get used this winter. Thanks to the Nothface for offering such an incredible deal for Frontline Healthcare workers! I ordered a size large, which is my usual size in tops, and I would say it fits a little on the roomy side, even with a bulky sweater underneath. But not small enough that I would downsize.

I had a Skidoo snowmobile jacket for the longest time. This pales in comparison for warmth being a parka. Wouldn't go back.

I commute to work in Boston( weather can range from -5F to 35F in the winter )walking 10-15 mins. Needed a nice warm jacket where the wind doesn't creep up from under you, it definitely keeps you warm and dry from the snow/rain. You can remove the fur part to avoid a wet hood. I love how there's so many pockets! The only thing I'd like to see added is straps to carry them by from the inside For when you go shopping Or you're out walking and don't want to carry it around on your arm when it gets warm.

Love the coat! Very warm and insulated. It is a bit heavy, so if you're not use to weighted items, take this into consideration.

I am so happy I bought this coat. It's even nicer in person. Flattering, comfortable, and warm. The length is great, the pockets are awesome, and the outer fabric looks durable and of high quality. I bought the "new taupe" color and it is really beautiful, a little different but still neutral. I am 5'5" 120 lbs and the small fits me well with room enough for a heavy sweater or sweatshirt.

I am obsessed with this coat. I have never had a long parka before and the only downside is that you have to unzip from the bottom to have a little more mobility when hiking, driving, riding a bike, etc. However, that does not take away from the love I have for this coat. Highly recommend to anyone looking to up their winter style game and stay super cozy and warm in the meantime. Slim fit means I don't look like a Michelin Man while dressed for very cold temps.

I use it everyday and it's very comfortable and WARM so it keeps me warm when I'm out in this freezing cold weather. Only con about it is that even XS is little big on me so wish they had XXS for petite women.

I had ordered the def down parka originally and returned it for this one. I think it's more flattering and there are a lot of pockets

This jacket is great! I like my winter jackets oversized so I can layer comfortably. With that being said, I still feel that the jacket is flattering. It has tons of pockets which I love. It has a belt so you can cinch your waist to show off more of your shape and the hood is a great size and fits great when I wear my big curly hair out.

Hello All, My husband order this womens-outer-boroughs-parka For me for Christmas..I've been threw so many winter coats I suffer the cold from being Anemic And quick to get sick....And I finally found a coat that keeps me so warm and it's comfortable. I never order here before. I got xs I had to return and get a small and it's fits perfect.....

I got this jacket because I was looking for a parka that I could wear in colder weather. I live in Seattle, so this jacket may have been overkill - but I love it and don't regret it. I know that when I bring it with me to Maine to visit family in the winter, I will be warm and toasty. When I first got the coat, I couldn't stop wearing it. Even if it was only 40 degrees out. I wore this on a Christmas boat cruise in December, where it was rainy and windy. This jacket was perfect for that. When temps dipped to 20-30 this January, I was excited to be able to slip it on. Things I love include the length (I've never owned a parka before), the warmers that come out of the sleeves onto my hands, it's waterproof, warm and the shape of the jacket (form flattering). Things I wasn't a huge fan of was that the hood doesn't come out as far as I would like and the long sleeves (although this seems common in TNF jackets). I wanted to think of a third con, but honestly can't.
