I was looking for a pair of casual winter boots that would also be easy to pull on for neighborhood walks with the dog or jaunts out to the park in snow and rainy conditions. I was thrilled to find these boots which are sporty and cute, but also quite warm and comfortable. I actually look forward to my winter walks with the dog now, knowing I can be warm and cozy now while doing it, with booths that are easy to pull on and off. Was very happy with this purchase. Other folks mentioned in the reviews that they had issues with these shoes being narrow, but I'm a size 9 and found them to be perfectly true to size.

I sized up (9.5, when usually an 8.5). They are so comfortable and warm for snowy dog park outings and snow shoeing. I also find them very lightweight compared to my hiking boots and former snow boots!

I just received my boots today and tried on. They are so comfortable and looked great on. I got the Green color-Alpine. The color is exactly how it's pictured. I can't wait to wear when the weather permits-lol. Well made shoe. The fit is on point too-I'm a 7.5 regular size.

I read other reviews, so I bought a half size up. I'm normally an 8 in every shoe, and sometimes 7.5 in Vans. I have two other pairs of sorel boots. The popular short duck boot and a joan of arc. Duck boots are 8.5 (people said they ran small so I ordered a half size up) Joan of Arcadia are an 8 and those feel roomy. These Whitney's I bought are an 8.5 and I honestly feel like an 8 would of been fine. I usually don't wear super thick socks especially with a warm boot, so I don't think I "needed" the extra room. I feel a slight slip in the heel which doesn't really bother me, but I can just wear thicker socks. The toe box is definitely roomy, which I think is done on purpose so people can wear those thick socks and still have wiggle room which is key in keeping extremities warm, jist like Gloves should have an inch of room between finger and tip of glove. Anyways, I'm too impulsive to return and then order and wait for an 8, so I'm keeping these. I actually think they are the most comfy shoes ever, and VERY cute. I compared them in pictures to showcase the 8.5 duck boot vs 8.5 Whitney boot. Definitely more snug with wise for the Whitney's but even tho they look so ouch longer they fit great. I'd buy them. If you don't care about super thick socks then buy your normal size. If you want room for options, but 1/2 size up, I don't think a full size up is necessary. I got the Elk color and they are exactly as pictured! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

had opportunity to test with an early cold snap. comfortable enough for 3 mile trek walking the dog. no socks, still warm. sizing is ok. i prefer a little wider for splay, excited for the snow.

I wear 8.5 boots, I find the boots were a little snug when you wear insulated socks. I should have gone up 1/2 size and wide width. I

I have been searching for new boots to keep my feet warm and dry in a Minnesota winter. I got these boots for Christmas. The first time I wore them in the snow, when I took my boots off my right foot was somewhat damp. If you look at the pictures you will see it looks as if there is a water stain on the right boot around the toes. So wanted to keep these boots they are cute and light weight.
