This is the third I've owned but the redesign has made it genuinely unwearable -- The collar is an inch higher than before, resulting in it constantly brushing the face. When zipped up, it's far too high and rubs the chin. Without a zipper garage, that high zipper snags whiskers.
It's so uncomfortable I can't even give it away; Three friends/family had the same issue and gave it back. As a new and very nice looking jacket, that says a LOT.

Bought "2" jackets "his&hers" both black. There is a huge difference between the Men's and Women's jackets. "APEX BIONIC 2 JACKET " Weight of the jacket of the mens is lighter then the women's.The women's jacket feels heavier and solid what i would expected. I also feel the windwall in not in the men's jacket. The touch and the feel of the mens is not the same as the women's,

This is a huge step down from the previous version... this has been my faborite jacket for years. I've purchased multiple. The new version has a sloppy fit, feels cheap and no way NO embroidered logo. It looks and feels cheap . I went searching for the old version and bought 2.

I had been been contemplating on getting one of these jackets as everyone has one. Definitely not what I expected. I usually wear a large and that's what the true fit guide recommended. It feels more like an Extra large. Extremely bulky, sleeves are long yet sleeves are tight. The collar is always in your face and hard to get to stay down. Definitely not as warm as expected. This jacket only works as a layering piece.

I loved the previous model and actually have a few colors... it seems petty but the logo looks like it'll fall off at any point - just a little flemsy rubber logo. Bring back the stitched logo.

Very disappointed with purchase. I had previously purchased the Mens Apex Bionic 2 Hoodie and was not happy with the fit or colors being true to the picture. All the fit issues I'm about to explain were the same problems I had with the Men's Apex Bionic 2 Hoodie. So I returned my previous purchase and got the jacket featured above.
The MEN'S APEX BIONIC 2 JACKET - UPDATED DESIGN had the following problems....The sleeves were too tight and too long. Not having the velcro on the wrists was a killer disappointment. The chest and waist fit was very box like and there was extra room rather then a nice comfortable fit. If you raise your arms the jackets bottom will come up above your belly button. I'm 5'10 about 185lbs and usually a large is my size.
A large is what I ordered and the size and fit a was a huge disappointment. I was very much looking forward to getting a new North Face jacket, but after having to return 2 jackets due to poor fit I will be moving forward with requesting my money back rather than exchanging my second purchase to attempt to find a 3rd jacket.

What a shame. The non Velcro sleeves is the deal breaker for me. Sleeves are just too long for me. The Velcro design was so comfortable. I have been looking for the old design but have not been successful. I guess I will have to move to a different brand. Why the design change???? The best jacket on earth just took a step back. Losing my business wont hurt you I am sure. Some folks would wear a plastic bag if it had TNF logo on it.

This version is actually worse the the orig.
1. Bring back the adjustable velcro on the sleeves.
2. Bring back the real embroidery.

TNF ruined once of their most iconic jackets by removing such a simple thing as the velcro sleeves. This is the one thing that for people who actually use their jackets both in urban and outdoor settings, it matters greatly. I've hiked up the sleeves while cross country skiing, tightened them to make them windproof on High Sierra mountain tops, adjusted them to fit perfectly over a watch and sleeve when on a night on the town. Now TNF is no different than jackets from every other company with elastic cuffs that will ultimately stretch and ruin the fit and function. It's not a jacket I can depend on and will not buy another one. The rubber vs embroidered logo is not a big deal but it just shows TNF is trying to extract ever dollar out of the jacket now instead of making it a jacket worthy of your dollars.

I own several Apex Bionic jackets and vests. The Bionic 2 feels and looks cheap compared to the old ones. What happened to the Velcro wrist closers? No embroidered North Face logo. My first Bionic jacket and vest even had Apex embroidered on the bottom. Orvis makes a very similar jacket and vest that are much higher quality and are less expensive. I have been buying North Face gear for decades and have seen the quality drop dramatically over the past several years. I will be spending my gear dollars else where until the quality improves

This jacket got a lot cheaper in quality with this update. They have a little rubbery sticker as the logo now, which will likely come off at some point. I have multiple apex bionic and apex chromium jackets from previous seasons but will not buy anymore (until they bring back quality and embroidered logos) . I suggest to look at the Apex Chromium for $10 more. There is no chest pocket but still a better quality.

the early 2000s tnf bionic apex jackets were waaaaaaaaay better in quality and were thicker yet not baggy compared to the newer versions.
ironically, older models were $99.99 and now the new models are like at least 50 bucks more. booo!

This jacket has been our "go-to;" we just purchased it for our son. However, North face has removed the adjustable cuff on the sleeves (which allowed for a tight fit around gloves) and also removed the embroidered logo and replaced with with a thin rubber version. The jacket as a whole feels "cheaper." I anticipate that he logo, as an example, will wear off with routine use. Although missing from the description, if you zoom in on the photos you'll recognize the above.

this is more athletically cut for a taller person than normal or relaxed cut for average sized. the sleeves and shoulder were very wide/long for my 5'-10" frame. I would love this jacket if it fit better.

Don't really like it, this is the second North Face I purchased and neither are comfortable. The collar on my right side is always in my way. You don't describe the features of the jacket on your site. I like inside pockets, this has none and it should for this price. When I bought the first one I didn't know it had a hood and worse there is no way to store it except fold it in the back. There's no description of any features or how to use them.

Loved the look of the jacket on the website but when it came it was so so short it looked ridiculous not sure who can wear this jacket and not look super dorky. Wished a large would be better but to no avail I had to return it. Go back to old style that isn't for freaks with the smallest torsos in the world. Thank you kindly.

I don't like the fit or the material of this jacket. I am a normal large size and this jacket (in a large size) fits too tightly and the sleeves are so tight that when I put the jacket on the sleeves of the shirt that I ware are pulled up to my elbows. The jacket does not keep me warm even on the moderately cool winter days in Dallas. I was expecting a lot more from a North Face jacket costing $149!!!
