I expected more when I ordered this jacket. First, the wrist adjustments do not stay velcroed. Second, the hand pockets should not be mesh on the inside towards the body. What is the reason behind this other than to skimp out on quality. Not everyone who needs a larger chest fit is 6ft plus and has really long arms. Also, the size difference between large and xl is way to much of a size jump. The large was tight over a tshirt and the xl I can fit a hoodie underneath it. Your quality control and lack of good components along with cutting corners to save a buck has turned me onto a clone of this jacket for 1/5th the cost. That jacket actually has a correct fit and better attention to detail while not cutting corners. Maybe if you fix the pockets, huge size variations, and use better components I may try your product again. This was a complete disappointment for hearing so many good things about your products.

Bought this as a gift. I was told to get an XXL in this jacket by an employee who said the fit would be tighter than the style of XXL large I had brought back. Upon receiving jacket, it fit exactly the same as the first one did and had to send it back. No more North Face Purchases for me.

The fit was completely different from the fleece jackets. The sleeve length was about 2" shorter than other NF fleece jackets I have. The chest area seemed overly large, the shoulders seemed to fit, but the jacket length was short. The sizing just seemed totally off. It was a disappointment from all the other NF jackets that I have and that I enjoy wearing. The jacket is being returned.

Seems well made, quite windproof and probably (?) useful in light rain. But I returned it because the fit is not at all 'streamlined' as described. The tag actually says 'relaxed fit', which is indeed what it is. As a slim, athletic person, it hangs off me. The 'high rise grey heather' is a completely different color than what is depicted online. And while the fabric is probably good as a light jacket by itself, it's rather odd and stiff and not versatile enough to layer under anything else (perhaps with the relaxed fit, layering things underneath this would be a better plan, but not what I was looking for). Disappointed.

Product appears much lighter than it really is. Very deceptive. I had to keep it because I ordered it for a trip I was taking and had no time to return and needed a jacket for the trip. Needless to say, I would not recommend any of your products. To anyone.

I had to purchase this jacket to replace one that has been in warranty repair for two months. Communication in the warranty department is poor and the repair time is excessive. At this time I might have my coat back by spring. I do like the jacket I had to purchase to replace the same one in for repair but I would not have purchased it had the other one been defective and the repair been so ridiculously long.

I ordered jacket on line your sizing chart said small I ordered large and could barely get my arms in it. I the tried on large at Dick's and it was hard to get on the material lining jacket sleeves pulls on any type of shirt you have on. You need to have real people try these out. Northface is known for quality but when I spoke with other people they spoke of the same problems. I returned the item.

The jacket itself isn't a bad jacket. However the service from NorthFace is sub par at best. I received the wrong size and instead of just exchanging it for the correct size they had me completely refund the first order (waiting to send it back.) and place a completely new one. It's been the biggest hassle.

Doesn't fit correctly. The sleeves are too long and the collar is too high. I'm 6'4" and the large had sleeves that covered most of my hand. The old version of this jacket fit perfectly, but I had to return this one.

We have always loved North Face apparel. I just bought our son the Apex Bionic MEN'S APEX BIONIC 2 JACKET - UPDATED DESIGN in size medium, in navy blue. He is in shape and has a flat stomach. This jacket fits like it is made for someone who is large in the middle. I am disappointed with the chunky sizing around the midsection. It is definitely cut larger in the waist than his previous North Face Bionic jacket. The previous design made him look so nice and showed off his appearance. The original version looked very polished for business casual. This Bionic 2 is not as stylish because they made it for people that have a gut. Disappointing as it was a Christmas gift of something he really needed and has to take it out of town right away. So we will not be able to exchange or return it. North Face is supposed to be for athletic people so I'm not sure why they did this. I checked to see if slim fit is offered but there is no slim fit. Hopefully our tailor will take care of this situation next summer. That adds substantially to the cost though. I hope it looks better than we first thought it did once it is worn.......hoping it looked so boxy due to how it was packaged....but worried.

Everything fits good except the sleeves are to long. I'm 5"11 or 6ft and have long arms so it's saying something when the sleeves cover my whole hands. I know I can't get a small because the torso will be to small length wise and wouldn't help when I have to bend over the slightest bit. I'm really disappointed

I would use it for everyday use but, will be returning it due to the sleeves being too long and wrist velcro straps not being on the new version.

This will be my third Apex but my 1st gen 2. The sleeves are too long and they completely removed the velcro cuffs and removed the embroider logo. I will look into other brands when buying my next soft shell jacket

Used to be my favorite jacket. It's my "go to" jacket (have 4) and now they don't have the velcro cuffs which completely blows

Good looking jacket but I am returning it, for two main reasons. Sleeves are too long and there are no cuffs or Velcro around the wrists allowing you to tighten it up. I'm 6 ft and athletic build but the sleeves hang down too long. My main issue is the fleece lined sleeves. Keeps you warm, BUT good luck getting the jacket off. I bought this for wearing to work with long sleeve button downs and getting the jacket off is quite difficult. You basically end up turning the sleeves inside out and then you are full of static. Not comfortable. It fits fine (except for the long sleeves) so it's the the right size. I'll be looking for a different NF jacket to replace it.

The color on these jackets might look nice but the material pretty uncomfortable to wear. It feels and moves like a poncho. On top of that the sleeves on both the medium and small are way too long for anyone who has normal length arms

No more embroidered logo on this jacket and many other new model jackets. I would buy multiple of this jacket, however, they've extracted every $1 out of it. Apex Bionic 1 was better .

There's no Velcro on the sleeves so they're just way too long and can't be adjusted. Returning

Awful redesign. I had excellent experiences with the previous/classic Apex: This new one's collar is gigantic and rubs your face raw. Unless you cut the collar off or tape it down* it's unwearable. No hyperbole (*Yes, I actually had to tape it down on a trip last week). In guiding over 20 years, I've never owned a worse piece of equipment or experienced worse service. TNF wouldn't correct or take back (bought on sale, NOT a second). Definitely warning people off TNF now.
