I thought it might be a little warmer, but as long as you're not standing outside in cold for an extended period of time, it's a great coat. The outside shell is pretty thin.

It keeps me moderately warm and dry from rain for the past 3 years. Nice Jacket!!

Wore this every day going into a Wisconsin winter. I like it, looks nice and is warm enough, but that zipper started failing.

It's good to wear this if the temperature is above 20 degrees. It fits right for a person like me. It is fast drying, windproof and waterproof. The only thing that I didn't like was the stitching on the side of the pocket, because it wasn't stitched all the way.

Great jacket just wish the thermoball was a tad warmer

Overall, I think this is a solid jacket. I like the fact that I can take out the inner piece on slightly less cold days. I did feel that it was too big, but didn't exchange it in time for a size down.

Love the inner lining being able to be a stand alone jacket as well!

Overall it is a good product. It is stylish and comfortable to wear. It does well at keeping out the wind and the rain. It does well keeping sharp cold wind out, however I did not feel like the jacket kept me warm. But it did keep me from freezing. I expected the jacket, especially the under layer to have more stuffing or be more puffy. However, I guess the purpose was to keep it light and still provide protection. If you want warmth, I would look more into the down jackets.

Despite I thought the jacket would be much warmer and only 2 packets I like it. I'm in the Seattle so not too cold but definitely wet. If colder then 40 degrees layers are needed. But overall all a great all around daily everything jacket for the PNW. I love it and wear it all the time. I had problems with the shopping and was not a happy camper but Rating to North Face and customer service for resolving the problem and taking care of me!

I was excited to get this jacket for the upcoming fall/winter. Feels very warm when I put it on. I am a big guy, 6'2, 200+ and the XL was huge even though I followed the measurements. Planning on returning and ordering a L.

Since the hood is not insulated at all I can only give 4 stars instead of 5.

i usually just wear it in the cold but had the chance to wear it in the rain the other day. stayed dry the whole time. when i'm out in the cold i don't feel it. not too warm not too cold just right.

Velcro not done right on cuffs Will have to add Velcro so the straps aren't sticking up I have had other jackets and aren't like this

Casual

Just got this so the jury's still out on how cold might be too cold. I'm holding on to my older North Face just in case this one can't hand February in Chicago. That said, when I first put it on, it felt quite warm. Also, it's a rainy day today so I pulled out the liner coat and used the outer shell. Love how functional it is!

Great jacket for cold windy weather. Was what I needed to brave the unexpected New York weather 2 weeks ago.

Sizing doesn't feel quite right. Otherwise it's a good jacket, warm and good protect from the elements.

Nice coat, but 2 pockets and no inside pocket? Not sure how in today's world that works? No way to secure keys or phone while sking...
