Sure, not for the absolute extremes, but for your normal hiking with wind and mixed rain, there's nothing like this. It can be a bit tight on your armpits depending on your frame and muscle mass.

So I have used this snowboarding and hiking and let me tell you it is very water resistant. There was a downpour while I was boarding and hardly got wet. I have been out in a bit of rain while hiking with this on and managed to stay dry even with the vents open.

This Jacket is everything. It keeps you warm and dry but the inner layer is very stylish.

The jacket is really great and lives up-to the standards and name. Would recommend it.

Versatile.

I appreciate the water resistance, but be aware that overtime the fabric will loose it's water wicking abilities.

Jacket works very well. It's warm, waterproof and cuts the wind. I really like the versatility of separating it depending on the weather.

So versatile. Went skiing with it first time last week and only needed the shell but glad I had the down for later in the afternoon!

Bought this for both casual wear and for moderate outdoor adventuring (hiking, occasional skiing). I love the fit and the versatility of it. It has good water resistance to keep me dry while out in the elements, keeps me comfortably warm in sub-freezing temps, and is holding up great. It has been a high-quality purchase that I would recommend to anyone looking for a similar jacket.

The great thing about this jacket is the design, and take a toll from inclememcies of the weather in Texas. I love the design. But they are not roomy. These garments were design for slim persons. We are in a different level. But all around is the best I ever wear.

Not only it really looks good, it really reserves the heat from the inside. My husband loves it!

The fit on this jacket is perfect. Not bulky and easy to move around in. Some jackets make you feel like Ralphy's brother. This is not the case with this one.

I bought this jacket as my everyday winter jacket. I was not expecting to wear the themoball by itself much but I was surprised by the versatility. The whole jacket itself is extremely warm and wind proof. I love the lightweight thermoball liner and I was recently able to wear the liner under a shell ski jacket in negative weather with no problems and it still felt very lightweight. Highly recommend. I'm a true large on rare occasions larges have been to small this jacket ran a tiny bit big which I appreciated.

Lightweight and powerful protection for cold weather.

It's really good at being waterproof since I also tested it myself. And at the same time it keeps me warm and dry.
